Thank you so much for this great tutorial on crochet bell. My mom used to crochet everything. You name it she made it. I have bells that my husband's grandmother and mother made. I wanted some more and unfortunately all 3 of these special ladies have passed on. So I had to find someone who could teach me this. I watched so many videos, and your video is the only one that I could understand and follow. Have a wonderful Holiday Season!!!
spent the evening on the couch made a dozen of these bells for my grand kids... each one is getting a package topper bell! SUPER CUTE! I used yarn, had no ribbon. They're so cute!
Dear Jayda I wanted to tell you that I have learned so very much from your tutorials. You are the greatest teacher there .You have made It so very easy to learn from you. I have had some problems with my depression, and now that my medication has been corrected I been a crocheting manic. I am in the process of making a Granny Square Sunflower Blanket from your instructions. I have never been able to do that. So Thank you so very much for being the Teacher that you are and for the great personality you have and for joy the joy of crocheting. God Bless and Merry Christmas!
Wow! I just made my very first tiniest ornament ever. Its a bit lopsided, but its the first tiny bell I made. Its still cute, but next one will be better. Thank you so much. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
This is just the pattern I was looking for. I already bought 8 of those small jingles precisely for a project like this. And like so many others, I have learned so much from watching your videos. Thank you, Jayda!
So cute. Thanks so much. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a big thank you. I came across your site when I started crocheting again after a 40 year break. I made my first dishcloth with you, my first granny square with you and my first hat with you. Thanks again.
Thanks Jayda so cute. Made your Granny Square Christmas 🌲 pattern to give to girls group who meet once a month for dinner. Put them in goody bags and they loved them. Will have to do the bell next year.
Love these adorable bells... and they even jingle!! These will make great Christmas gift toppers. Thanks Jayda!!! Wishing you a beautiful holiday season :)
Oh, thank you for this! When I was young, someone gave our family some stiffened crocheted bells and angels made from crochet thread with a metallic sparkle running through. I haven’t seen those in years; but I think I’ll just have to make some of your little bells to hang on my tree. Again, thanks so much for a quick project I can make dozens of before Christmas Day! 🌲
Cute little bell ! Awesome tutorial!!Merry Christmas to you!!May God Bless you with many many more years of joy n happiness with lot more Crocheting projects!!!👍👍👍👍
Hi Jayda, now I know what my co-workers are getting. Awesome easy project and cute as heck. Thanks again for all of your wonderful tutorials, Merry Christmas 🎅🏻🤶🏻
Thanks Jayda! Another excellent project! I make ornaments for my extended family for Christmas. This was the perfect finishing touch. Best wishes for a very Merry Christmas to you and yours! 🎄
These are so cute! Usually I make the granny stitch bells, but tried this pattern. It's adorable but mine came out about 1-1/4". I'm going to make more that size, then use a bigger hook to make larger ones. Thank you 🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔
@@JaydaInStitches Ha! I found my problem. I made gold bells from a red heart reg skein. Then I made more using red and green yarns from red heart in supersaver. The gold was thinner. I even tried using an I hook. I love them all 🔔🎄🔔
I love all your tutorials. I've learned so much from you. Easy and friendly to follow. I do have one suggestion. I have been wanting to make a Christmas tree skirt. All the videos on you tube are not easy for me to follow and I would love to make one as a family keepsake for my children. If you could do a tutorial on how to make one that would be wonderful. You are the only one that makes it easy for me to follow.
Hi Carole! The length is what helps give it more of a bell shape before the last row of flare out. It could be that your tension eases as you crochet in the round and if you tighten up a bit, it will help keep that cylindrical part straight up and down (rather than flaring out gradually much like a hat does). :)
Hmm not sure where i went wrong. Maybe inneed a bigger hook ... Used RHSS and its on yhr thicker side... Cause mine looks more like a mini sombrero hehe.
I like your bell pattern and plan on making a bunch for gifts this Christmas. But I did something a little different than the pattern called for. Instead of putting a knot by the bell, I used a pony bead. I run the ribbon through the bead and ran it through again in the same direction. The bead seems to work better for me because my knot would go through the top if pulled, with the bead it doesn't. So after I put the bead on the ribbon, I use my crochet hook and pull the ribbon through the top of bell.
Thank you for the nice crochet video I know how to make the Christmas tree ornaments Bell. So do you make all different colors bells? I did a red one :) ❤️
Hi Davida, thank you! Those were given to me by my amazing mother-in-law, she found them at Fabricland! Some folks tell me however, they've been able to find them on Amazon too :)
Good morning Jayda. So I made the bell for the first time last night. It came out a little funny to me and I followed the video to instructions. Is it suppose to be miniature? Looking at the one your holding it appears bigger. I’m going to keep trying until I get it right but thank you for the beautiful patterns you produce.
Hi! Our yarn, hooks and personal tension all differ, and because this is a tree ornament, gauge wasn't important, so if you're turned out small, that's ok! You can always try a bigger hook, or thicker yarn and that will make it bigger. Mine fit in the palm of my hand :)
Hi Sandra, Thank you for watching :) 1. The easiest way to upsize would be to use thicker yarn and a bigger hook (like a bulky weight yarn and a size 7mm or 8mm hook) 2. Jingle bells can be found in packs at most craft stores, the craft section of the dollar store and even some department stores...ESPECIALLY around the holidays! You'll find them in the ornaments (seasonal) section :)
Hi Carolyn, I used small ones (about 0.5 inch in width) but you could use any size that wasn't too heavy under 1 inch in width...but mostly ones that you like the sound of!
Hi Lydia, we have a really helpful, super short mini tutorial on the cinch circle here: ruclips.net/video/P87GpDPExsU/видео.html This is such a handy little crochet trick to learn, you'll find you use it all the time! It also helps create a nearly invisible centre for projects, no space is left unlike what often happens with a chained ring. In this case, we want to minimize having a space as much as possible so that the ribbon and bell don't want to pull out through the middle :)
Jayda, love everthing you do and I've had so many happy hours of crochet because of you. ....one question...where did you find that needle with the loop on the end used to weave the ends.. thanks in advance. Joyce
Hi Tammy, the Owl is our tea cozy! You'll find that here: ruclips.net/video/BHQ0RO7nDF0/видео.html and the Elf Pillow is a special written pattern available for sale in our Etsy shop :) You can find a link to our Etsy shop in the description box :)

I have to make this!!! My kids are always stealing the xmas bells from around the house and they would love these!!!!
Every year my family and I share the Christmas candy we make with our neighbors. I think need to throw in a couple of these, they're precious!
Hi Elizabeth! Yes!! Do it!! I've found most people get such a joy out of little hand-made gifts :)
This would be adorable attached to a wreath to announce your welcome visitors when they come in the door!! Yay! Ah I just love this
Hi Kathleen, what a super idea! I've made a pile of them so far, but they keep getting 'nicked' by my friends LOL Merry Christmas!

What a cutie project! You gave me a great idea Jada! I would really love it if you could create an easy Tree Skirt pattern.
These are cute and quick (my personal favourite!) Thank you for the suggestion!
This is soooo awesome.
Hi Jennifer! Thanks :) Nothing like a quick, crochet fix!
Good
Love your work. Do you do lovely
you are awesome making one now but would love to know were you got your threader from i just love it ty
Hi! That's a wool needle! they are often sold in sets of 3 and can be found where knitting needles and crochet hooks are sold 😊
Thank you for sharing these patterns, Jayda. Can you tell me what I may be doing wrong if mine looks more like a hat than a bell?
Hi Carole! The length is what helps give it more of a bell shape before the last row of flare out. It could be that your tension eases as you crochet in the round and if you tighten up a bit, it will help keep that cylindrical part straight up and down (rather than flaring out gradually much like a hat does). :)
@@JaydaInStitches Thanks so much, Jayda. I switched to a smaller hook and that helped a bit. I'll try your suggestion.
I will make some as a jolly necklace.
Oh what a cute idea!
I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas. :)

Hi Janet, thank you for sharing your tip!
I used a little glue on the knot so it stays in place.
Hi Jayda,
OMG! Soooo cute😊.!!.
I used to make them with beads to give to friends and for my Christmas tree, but forgot how to make them🙄
Hi Bertha! This is such a fun, classic little Christmas project! I love the idea of adding beads too :)
Thank you for the nice crochet video I know how to make the Christmas tree ornaments Bell. So do you make all different colors bells? I did a red one :) ❤️
Hi Lydia! I've made several of these over the years, it's a nice little scrap yarn buster - they look cute in variegated colours too!
@@JaydaInStitches I am going to make some more of them do in Christmas colors.

Christmas is getting to me, i started talking about presents and i made a small hat instead, i am laughing now never mind try again tommorrow ☺
* giggle * so a mini hat to hang on the tree...why not! ;)
What size bell do we buy for these adorable bells please? Carolyn Dennis Vt.
Hi Carolyn, I used small ones (about 0.5 inch in width) but you could use any size that wasn't too heavy under 1 inch in width...but mostly ones that you like the sound of!
Jayda do we count the attachment to the cinch circle as the first single crochet?
Hi Ginger, when you finish your cinch circle, you ch 1, that does not count as a single crochet :)
I have a question for you I don't know how to make the magic ring could I do the chain way and how many I need to make.
Hi Lydia, we have a really helpful, super short mini tutorial on the cinch circle here: ruclips.net/video/P87GpDPExsU/видео.html

I love crochet Christmas bell, however I need a stitch maker to mark my rolls. I think most of us crocheters do. Even for the ones starting out.
Hi Kim! You can use a stitch marker to mark the first st of each row if you're not counting stitches or rows as you go. Thank you for watching 😊
