She's talking about Apple trying to shift 18% of its production to India by 2025. By 2025, palki would be talking about why Apple failed to turn India as its manufacturing base. She was telling everyone back in 2020 that 20,000 companies will move out of China, only to ask everyone why companies couldn't decouple from China late last year

Apple isn't making one country it's manufacturing base, they are keeping their options open and there would be a limit on how much apple expands. Don't talk as if you know everything
Companies have moved out of China and the country has seen its manufacturing activity shrink, there's no data out there that proves otherwise. China's manufacturing PMI is below 50, along with Vietnam. Those 20000 companies need not always enter India, there isn't a surety on this
Decoupling doesn't happen overnight, it happens when companies successfully rebuilt supply chains in new companies, pushing China aside. You lack understanding of economics

Trump's tech wars with China 🇨🇳 was meant to curb Chinese high-tech ambitions.
    - But, China’s high-tech exports, which account for about 5% of China’s overall exports a decade ago, have continued to grow rapidly to almost 40% last year.
    - Moreover, the share of hi-tech exports handled by foreign-invested enterprises in China, fell from 70% in 2011 to just 15% in 2022.
    - Indicating that China 🇨🇳 itself is now a major high-tech player globally

lol, China only does very low end manufacturing. They just assemble parts with their slave labor. All the high end components are made in Japan, Germany, South Korea, Taiwan, etc... For example the comac919 that they call their "first home grown" commercial jet they are so proud of is made up of over 80% parts from the west. Now that the entire civilized world is decoupling from them, they will be cut off from all these components, not just chips. Then they can steal all the IP they want but they will never be able to get the parts they need to make their shitty Chinese copies.😁😆😂

Problem with India is they get upset and jealous when foreign companies make money in India. Makes them feel exploited and cheated and so start thinking of ways and means of taxing and milking these foreign companies until they give up and leave. That’s how India won the reputation for being the graveyard of foreign investors.❤

If foreign factories moved out of China a decade ago, it would be devastating for China. NOT so today. Foreign entities only make up 10% of China's exports as of today. In other words, Chinese companies are now the major contributor of China's exports. Take Samsung for example, it shifted its production out of China since 2016 but today, Chinese smartphone brands account for 67% of global sales.

So true! And people at all time calling China to set up a debt trap, isn't it funny that you think you borrow money and don't need to pay back! And go comparing the interest IMF and China charge respectively, you will find China has mercy. As for the typical example of Sri Lanka people like to claim, the reason of their bankruptcy was because China was willing to help them with a plan to sort out the debt , but they didn't want to follow (Laos followed, and they are sorted now), besides, they had this bizarre idea of growing organic crops, which turned out to be unsuitable and failure for the country's need. So people, when you fail, don't blame other, blame your own decision.

Malaysia and Singapore used to be manufacture centres of US high tech companies. I built a factory for Intel in Penang, Malaysia. Some 30 years, these US companies moved to China because of lower cost in China then. I fit out Dell Computer's first factory in Xiamen, China. Many Taiwanese companies also moved their factories to China because of lower cost.
After 30-40 years of economic growth, China had moved up the manufacturing food chain. Its labour cost is no longer competitive even after accounting for manufacturing efficiency. The labour intensive and assembly type of manufacturing industry profit margin is very low. Something like 5%. China is looking for industries and manufacturing work that provide better return and profit. India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, etc can have those low profit margin industries.
By the way, India has the unflattering nickname of "GRAVEYARD OF FOREIGN COMPANIES". Foreign companies are leaving India in droves because of poor business environment and low worker quality.

The global shift from US to China have been moving rather fast in terms of economy, military, Tech,Space exploration and many more. Countries are now accepting China as their preferred partner as oppose to US. However, there are no clear encouraging signs of india taking the cue from China even in the manufacturing. On the contrary, a handful of Tech companies who bet on India after shifting from China are facing serious problems due to production workers, skills, working conditions, govt investment schemes that did not payout and many more. Just to name Apple,Foxconn,Xiaomi,BYD and others. China built a $1.3bil coal plant, only to make a loss due to payment default. All in all, India blew their chance.

In fact, China is still the world's top two foreign investment destinations.
Have you ever wondered why foreign investors choose to invest in a place like China and why they are reluctant to leave? It's because China offers them an environment where they can profit and thrive. Few places in the world possess such a combination of high intelligence, strong work ethic, and social stability like China does.
China's impressive growth and development are not just a result of low labor costs but are driven by the hard work and intelligence of its people. The country's stability provides a secure and conducive atmosphere for businesses to flourish. As a global leader in various industries, China continues to attract investments from around the world.
So, when you think about the reasons behind China's success and its appeal to foreign investors, remember the blend of intelligence, hard work, and social stability that make it such an attractive destination.

Some facts about China's 🇨🇳 Belt and Road Initiative:
    - As of January 2023, 151 countries were signed up to the BRI.
    - The idea of BRI as a debt trap diplomacy was first created by an Indian 🇮🇳 think tank, coined by Indian🐂 academic Brahma🙋🏿‍♂️ Chellaney in 2017 to describe what he called China's "predatory lending practices", which "overwhelm poor countries with unsustainable loans and force them to cede strategic leverage to China".
    - The irony is, India 🇮🇳 is a member of China's Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank AIIB, which makes India technically a full member of China's BRI in all but name. Receiving tens of billions worth of infrastructure funding in India from this bank alone.
    - Indians say this, do that.

India has foreign military bases on its soil ? That's new to me. But just to clarify : even before the USSR fell, West Germany was the first economy in the EEC . During the Cold War, oil and gas were exported to Europe. Yes, Germany did invest heavily in russia after that. After Fukushima, they decided to close the nuclear plants. Which, imo is good. But still keep relying on the russian gas and coal. It's counterintuitive, but on renewables, they are very much in advance. As China. The Nord Stream was bound to be a disaster. Btw, there's gas that flows from russia to Hungary and a few other countries through Ukraine ! India buys oil cheap, 30% discount, refines it, and sells it to Europe at market prices. China keeps it for itself because they need to.

"India buys oil cheap, 30% discount, refines it, and sells it to Europe at market prices." European transportation relies significantly on diesel imported from India, and India imported Russian oil to refine it and produce that diesel. So basically in Europe they still use Russian energy, the only difference is that they pay much more money for it. The sanctions are obviously a ludicrous failure.

The use of the term "Middle East Respiratory Syndrome" in 2015 sparked controversy, leading to resistance against specific religious and ethnic groups, creating unreasonable travel, business, and trade barriers, and triggering unnecessary slaughter of certain animals. The World Health Organization (WHO) later issued guidelines stating that the naming of new coronaviruses should not include geographical locations, personal names, animals, food names, or references to specific cultures or industries.
Even amidst intense competition with China, neither the U.S. government nor the U.S. media used the term "Wuhan virus." Currently, only the Indian media continues to use it, highlighting the moral deficiency of the users.

The biggest problem for Indians is their integrity. They are unpunctual, unfaithful and even deprive foreign companies of their legitimate property through magical laws. These are all problems in India. The biggest problem is that India adopts high-standard legislation, universal law enforcement and selective law enforcement. This kind of bureaucratic and legal problems is one of the problems. The third is that India's so-called democracy is a joke. If we change a political party in recent years, how can we achieve concerted development if each party suppresses others for its own interests. Chinese society has evolved for thousands of years through the feudal stage, and this society is well adapted to centralization and elite rule. China's consistent Confucian culture has created the idea of great unity, and great men want to live in peace. Do you see what kind of cultural development in modern society besides the Anglo-Saxons is best suited to industrialization? The answer is Confucian culture that includes Japan, South Korea, Vietnam and Taiwan, and, of course, China. Confucian culture keeps people in the middle of the mean, makes people benevolent and just, and allows people to coexist peacefully and share benefits. What has India done? Modi came to power on the basis of Hinduism. He believes that Muslims are heretics and do not give them citizenship. Do you think these people are really not Indians? When you don't have a little tolerance, how can you unite the people of the whole country for common development and prosperity? By the way, do you know what is happening in China and Vietnam? It is Vietnam's recent extremely high temperature that leads to a shortage of industrial production, while China's Guangxi high-voltage cable keeps transmitting electricity to Vietnam. China has not suppressed Vietnam's industrial production because of Vietnam in difficult times, because he knows that in today's globalization, Vietnam's development is beneficial to everyone, and what is India doing? Does India have a good relationship with the neighboring country? Indians should think about this problem carefully.

There to enjoy lower export tariffs and cheaper labour. Items requiring highly skilled labour are still manufactured in China and shipped to Bangladesh for the final process.
