Snow Summit Bike Park 2023 Opening Weekend / New Westridge Jumps are BIG! June 12, 2023

- Snow Summit opened up late this year due to all the snow but it was definitely worth the wait. I didnt go opening day because I wanted to avoid the long lines so I waited until Monday to roll up. It was raining on the way up the mountain but once we passed Arrow Bear it blue bird skies. The weather was good for the first few hours. I was blown away on all the new jumps. I was already told how much bigger they were but it was hard to tell on videos I was shown. My first lap down Westridge I cased the shit out of the new jumps, they were much bigger than I thought. I was finally able to bit them all clean on my 3rd lap. The whole jumpline flows so much better, my only complaint is the first jump after muscle beach is a little bucky, I feel like you have to slow down to hit it then speed up to hit the next 3 jumps. I wished they would make that jump longer and less lippy and it would be perfect.
I am blown away at how good the jumpline is I hope they start putting in the same work at Snow Valley. I really look forward to hitting the park all summer.

Yeah more trails would be dope, but keep in mind we didn't hit 10 Ply or full miracle mile because we left early from rain
can't believe I did not see this till now. Good Riding! I was at Snow Summit on June 9th and the 22nd. I need to go back there soon now that Hurricane Hillary passed through and we have Hero Dirt.

Northeast pretty dope too. We got Highland, Thunder, Creek and Killington with a ton of fun pedal trails in between. Winter sucks but that's a good time to head to AZ or down south where they're doing a ton of building. Tough to beat southern California tho!!

Awesome Tommy! Will be back in SoCal next week, I moved from Simi to North Carolina 2 years ago, def miss Summit, wish they had more trails but the forest service hopefully will grant more trails built. I can't wait to ride Summit next week, in NC good places to ride, that Berm Park just opened new trails that are actually really good just no lift up! But their are 2 lift assist parks there Beech and Sugar Mtn. Currently in NM and going to ride Angel Fire Saturday and cannot f wait! I love that place !

love your videos! I had a great time at snow summit today with my buddies, i mostly did laps on blue steel and miracle. hoping to hit party wave eventually! you guys are so fast haha
Thanks brotha 👊 you're doing it right. Start on Blue Steel and once you can clear ALL of them then jump over to Westridge 💪
i accidentally hit miracle one time, its really not too bad it gets gnarly at some points but if u have good positioning and balance ur fine

It so awesome to see that they made Westridge flow so much better, that weird stop after the tree section to the bridge was kinda wack, but I do wish that they made party wave and lower blue steel meet instead of having to walk around the wood drop at the start of muscle beach...I am confident on Party Wave but do not jump that often, so the new section and bigger jumps are avoided by me pretty often, great riding as always
I actually love the way it is now. I didn't like how Party Wave connected to Muscle Beach before it was always so dangerous when riding Party Wave. I think it's perfect that Party Wave only connects to Muscle Beach and Blue steel continues to connect to Miracle Mile or Turtle. It's safer for everyone

does this mean we cant go from party wave to miracle mile? im an intermediate rider who wants to try party wave but isnt good enough at jump’s yet to hit westridge or muscle beach
@@thomasboard7350 no I went up this past week and right after the tall up and over rock garden, you can keep going to blue steel and meet the intermediate stuff there before the super advanced jumps of westridge
Great video Tommy. What equipment and/or setting is Kyle using to get the more vibrant color on his segments? Your video seems a bit "washed out" compared to his.
So we changed Kyle's color to "natural " and that made a huge difference

Yup they got loose I noticed it when I got home and cleaner the bike
