I think it's hard to find a meaning of this song. Probably it's just random lines.
I think it's an ironic encouragement of setting goals, focusing on your significant other, having things you find important and interacting with those things accordingly, etc.

Sorry for replying to this comment so late but… my thought of this song (I also read a comment somewhere a while back which I agree with) is that this song is about committing to someone, but not feeling it, and not having the courage to talk to them about it.
don’t try and find the meaning cause this is a altered version but to understand the meaning you have to understand the greater word play that he uses.
