This is the machine I grew up with. So many hours carefully "ripping" vinyl albums to CrO2 tapes with careful levels and Dolby for use in my walkman. I think my dad still has it along with the matching amp.

Just picked one up the other day! Everything works except the counter gets stuck on switching from 000 to 001 and again from 99 to 100....think it's too much effort to turn unless it's on F FWD.
Looking forward to seeing this one work!

@@InsideOutElectronicsWould replacing the belt work? It works in FF, I thought it might be the tumbler mechanism itself getting seized up? I don't know much about these!

@@elkofcanada5003 hm interestin, ok may be you are right sricking digits may be an issue. Try rotating manually the counter wheel to see and feel how much efforts it need to turn from 9 to 0 to 1

I tecently purchased a Harmom Kardon HK300xm Cassette Deck from an eBay seller. I got ripped off. I have low vision and didn't see the No Returns until after I purchased the unit. The Seller outrigh tlied to me about the fact he said "Works Great". The outside od the unit wa in Great Shape. The belts were still good. The Cassette Door was in the open position when I took it out of the box, The Cassette Dir binds at the top. I must use my thumb to press the door else it will make a noise when the Tape is winding and fast forward. The Eject lever will depress but will not open the door. I must carefully pry the door open. This deck is presently at my Service Guy's shop. I should hear from him today or tomorrow, It plays and sounds god but the heads may need demagnetization.
