    great video , educational and also funny you are , seem like a genuine nice bloke, I used to won your car and a 1994 celica , great cars , beautiful looking and a great drive. i own a Hyundai coupe 2.0se 2003 GK nowadays which is also a great looking car, more of a cruiser i would say after driving both , the G4DC engine is strong . BUT FOR ME THE 1994 WAS MY ALL TIME GIRL , MISS THAT CAR !!!! GREAT VIDEO JUST JOINED YOUR CHANNEL THE ERA OF CARS WERE THE BEST YEARS OF MANUFACTURING .

      Yes, the 90's was a great time for cars, especially Japanese cars. I'd love a Supra but they are out of my price range.

    The oil burning problem was on pre 2003 models it was rectified by toyota

    • @ttxela
      @ttxela  4 года назад +1

      Yes, it's noted for being a pre-facelift problem but some of the early face-lifts seem to suffer as well.

    Toyota Celica use engine oil 4.5L?

    • @ttxela

      Capacity is a bit less than that so a 4.5l can will definitely see you through an oil change 👍

    great video, but what about the air filter? all the best

    • @ttxela
      @ttxela  4 года назад

      Ah yes, well of course the air filter should be done as well. Mine is a washable panel filter. It's a pretty easy job so I didn't show it but you make a good point that I should have mentioned it 👍 (there's any number of other little jobs that should be done as well but I was asked about the vvti filter and this video was a sort of response tho that 🙂).

    Great Vids - Did you have one on Air Filter Change there seems to be slightly different approaches and I want to make sure I dont mess it up!

    • @ttxela
      @ttxela  2 года назад

      I don't think I've shown that anywhere but it's fairly straightforward. I've swapped mine over to a reusable panel filter.

      @@ttxela Ah, thanks for the quick reply on easter weekend! Lol I noted some folks messing with the airflow sensor which I was a bit twitchy about. Manged to get it done.. the opening, removing and even replacing wasnt too bad but oh boy trying to get the cover back on was a challenge... in the end I did a work around and think its all good!

    • @ttxela
      @ttxela  2 года назад

      @@mehboobalimohamed3132 Ah, glad you got it sorted. It's not a bad idea to clean the MAF sensor occasionally. You can get a special spray cleaner for them.

    • @mehboobalimohamed3132
      @mehboobalimohamed3132 2 года назад

      @@ttxela Cheers, always a bit more fun when theres a challenge (or so I pretend)! Think I'll need some guidance/video before I take on a sensor - or is it just unclip, unscrew and clean? But I think I'd done enough for the Saturday with air filter, cabin filter, wing mirror switch fix and then a wash and inside clean!

    Got a Celica VVTI last Thursday and it's running great and all that other than 1 issue, sometimes, not always, there is a sound like a disc rubbing against something, like a flywheel maybe or something, I've got a 3 month warranty with the car but idk if that'll be covered or not yet as I'll need to phone up to check, but it goes away if I speed the car up instead of idling, it doesn't go away if I press the clutch pedal though so idk it might not be the flywheel, any idea what else it could be? Seems to be coming more towards the right side of the engine rather than the left (from the driver's view not front of car) car has 107k miles and is stock other than a custom exhaust and a cone air filter which will need replaced asap as it's seen better days lol

    • @ttxela
      @ttxela  4 года назад +2

      Thanks, depending on what service history you have, I'd definitely give it an oil change and check the thickness of the brake pads and change/clean air filter, if no history then consider changing all other fluids too.
      I try not to go over 6k miles without an oil change.
