    Amazing video! Though I do have a question, Are crocodiles common there? Specifically in key west. I might be going there in December and maybe I'm just being paranoid but I am literally TERRIFIED of crocodiles. I know we won't just see them walking around on the street or anything but we are going kayaking in the mangroves, and I know crocodiles usually tend to live in places like that, plus I've never in my entire life been kayaking before.

    • @WanderlustWellman

    Gr8 tips! How do you know there isn't a large barracuda or jaws down below at the "Jumping Bridge"? Im trying to "man up" to attenpt next month but the barracuda jaws thought is stuck in my mind. I get it how do you know snorkeling at reef, there is something unsettling about jumping to your death & dinner for jaws HAHA.

    • @WanderlustWellman
      @WanderlustWellman  2 года назад +1

      Thanks! And honestly, I do still have those thoughts in my mind sometimes due to being freaked out from movies, Shark Week, etc. All I can say is it's the same thing as driving - how do you know a car isn't just going to ram into you and severely injure you or kill you? The odds of that are much higher, but there's no use in worrying about it. Just have to turn those thoughts off, which happens with time and more exposure to swimming in the ocean! Hope you tackle the Bridge if you have the desire to do it

      It is well over $200 per adult now, not quite a year later. So over a 25% increase in about a year.

    Can you run into crocs or alligators while kayaking in the mangroves?

      I’m not sure to be honest, I think it would be a rare sight - we didn’t even catch a glimpse of any gators though

      In certain areas it may be possible to see alligators, but they primarily live in freshwater and the water in the mangrove canals is saltwater

    For all the vids I've watched thusfar, 5 out of 10+ activities all have to do with alcohol. I'm so bored of alcohol. Can someone please give me 10 things without alcohol being the through-theme? For the love.

      Are you saying my video included too many alcohol related activities?

      @@WanderlustWellman Good question! Sorry, this was maybe the 7th video I watched to get ideas on what to do while there and all the vids together really revolved around alcohol. Being off the wagon for a few, it was frustrating. Like, is that all the Keys have to offer? I'd love a vid on creative things to do that have nothing to do with alcohol. Surely there's gotta be more than 5?

      @@madrush24 1) Blue Hole Pond 2) All Day Watersports Package 3) Anne’s Beach Sandbar 4) jumping bridge 5) Bahia Honda State Park 6) Mallory Square Key West 7) 7 Mile Bridge 8) Kayak through the Mangroves 9) Snorkel at John Pennekamp Coral Reef state park 10) Eat Key Lime Pie - those are 10 booze free things! I encourage you to rewatch my video, only #1 really necessitates drinking alcohol my friend!

    Monroe county Florida . State attorney denis ward is an incompetent official ,. His office is prosecuting a victim of an attempted assault allowing real RECIDIVIST -criminal to roam free, His office had been warned of a botched investigation in that case but denis ward took no notice , as a result criminal with criminal history attacked a 64 year old women few months later in Key West , denis ward should be removed from office . His prosecution was given a video of how to climb fence but they still are alleging it was impossible to climb that particular fence .This situation is damaging farther financially a victim of attempted assault while incompetent people in his office are collecting pay for a lousy job . IMAGINE PROSECUTION AIDING AND ABATING CRIMINAL WHILE PROSECUTING LONG TIME RESIDENT WITH ABSOLUTELY CLEAN RECORD . IT IS A SCANDAL AND IDIOCRACY ALLOWED TO CONTINIUE BY PROSECUTING OFFICE OF denis ward . .

    As a local S. Floridian I’ll say this. If you want to enjoy the keys, and use the keys for what they’re best at, stay as absolutely FAR away from Key West as possible. That’s the same advice I give to ppl visiting S. Florida about South Beach in Miami. Complete trash, not worth a second of your time and so overrated I suspect 99% of the ppl who go to either place are extremely let down when they visit.
