This was super helpful. I especially love those hidden locations outside of the tourist traps that you shared in this video. I'm booking a last min flight to Florida next week and going to rent a car and drive down the keys for 7 days.
Awesome video! I LOVEEE the keys! The Key Lime pies all looked soo good. I had one of the best mojitos of my life down there too. Also sooo close to being monetized ahh!!!

Thank you so much! And I was down in the keys for 3 or 4 days. I would DEFINITELY recommend the Banana Bay Resort & Marina in Marathon, Florida. The rooms were on the cheaper end and were very clean and modern with a balcony. The hotel itself had amazing amenities such as a pool, a hot tub, a tennis court, and a bar in the back with beach space and a hammock by the ocean. After watching your list , my wife and I did #1, #3, #4, #8, and #9. THEY WERE ALL AWESOME! I would highly suggest doing #9 early in the morning or late in the day when the sun isn't melting you to the ground (especially during the hot months.) We're going back again this spring to return to some of these spots and finish the rest of the list!
Amazing video! Though I do have a question, Are crocodiles common there? Specifically in key west. I might be going there in December and maybe I'm just being paranoid but I am literally TERRIFIED of crocodiles. I know we won't just see them walking around on the street or anything but we are going kayaking in the mangroves, and I know crocodiles usually tend to live in places like that, plus I've never in my entire life been kayaking before.
Thank you so much! The only time I saw an alligator was when I went to the Blue Hole to specifically look for them. I believe they might be in the mangroves, but I didn't see any and the park rangers didn't mention them being there. I hope you have a great alligator free trip!

I get it how do you know snorkeling at reef, there is something unsettling about jumping to your death & dinner for jaws HAHA.
Thanks! And honestly, I do still have those thoughts in my mind sometimes due to being freaked out from movies, Shark Week, etc. All I can say is it's the same thing as driving - how do you know a car isn't just going to ram into you and severely injure you or kill you? The odds of that are much higher, but there's no use in worrying about it. Just have to turn those thoughts off, which happens with time and more exposure to swimming in the ocean!
