As a longtime Key West resident, I can say this was a great video and you two seem so sweet. A couple of helpful tips: snorkeling on the Key West reef is very different than the snorkeling you did in Key West. You were in what we call the Back Country on the Gulf side, which is where you will find the shallower waters, great mangrove kayaking and dolphin encounters. Snorkeling on the reef, which is on the Atlantic side, is where you will find the deeper clear water with the beautiful coral and colorful fish. Also, the weather in the summer is much more predictable and tends to lend itself to better water conditions(less wind = clearer water). Plus, it’s not nearly as crowded, so it’s much easier to get reservations to pretty much anything. Be sure to go back and visit the Dry Tortugas. It’s an adventure of a lifetime. ❤
Thank you for the support on the video :) Really appreciate all the extra info as well! Definitely planning on coming back sometime and will have to check out the Dry Tortugas!! 🙏❤️
We're on our way to the keys. One middle aged Floridian from Brazil, is very excited. I haven't been in many years as a life long Floridian. We'll watch your pod together before comming. Her 1st time there, parasailing, snorkeling, jetsking & sailing.
Extermely excited when wathing the video about iceland yesterday and I then immediately became a huge fan of you two! I'm really enjoying the vivid atmosphere your channel provides and greattt thanks for your vitality! LOVE from China~
Thank you for the great video on the Florida Keys! I will be heading there soon and I love all the info. I'll definitely be checking out your other videos.
Hi Giselle & Stephen - love the video and appreciate the effort to create! This video of the Keys had a great balance of things to do and food suggestions along the way. I love your channel and can't wait to watch more videos! Kirk
Aaaaahhhh so much to add on my bucket list!!! That's amazingggg!!! I am a big fan of the two of you!!! I'm constantly adding on my list after watching your videos hahaha
Thank you so much for sharing this. I have watched a few videos (as long as I could tolerate) and your video was the best for the Keys. I loved what you did and will certainly go to some of the places you mentioned when I go there. I subscribed so I can follow your other travel advice as well. Thanks!
i'm moving to the keys trying to get away from the crazy high drive fast pace life. was really hope could start a vertical hydroponic and in ground farm on some property and am having a hard time finding good locations. Maybe can grow bunch food on top my rv and along the sides of it and do market price sales down there. make it easily to dismantle and kill entire crop if bad hurricane comes lol :D
I loved your video. It was really down to earth and informative. It’s my favorite one I found. I just scrolled down and found that you wrote everything down to make it really easy. I’ve been taking notes the whole time. What month were you there? We’re thinking of going in Late October. Thanks 🌺
Please remember to tip your musicians and artists. There is this weird thing about only paying like $50 a night for these folks so please remember they need your help to live. It's not all about the wait staff (but we appreciate them too.)
Looks like we stayed at Parot Key about 2 months after you, great place, we loved having breakfast there in the morning being joined by the bar areas house cat Lisa, she was sweet. We did the Sunset Water Sports Dolphin/snorkeling trip, their jet ski tour around the island which is located right at The Parot Key, and the Safari Boat Eco tour. All were really great!
@@TheLoversPassport also, for your people who watch, Uber on Key West is amazing, never waited more than 3 minutes and the most expensive ride was $18, not including tip (we always gave $5), super easy, did not need a car.
Watching this made me so sad jesus! I visited the keys when I lived in the states couple years back. I had a green card and planned on coming back to live to the states to work as a jet ski tour guide since I did a year long formation in France for it but my green card is not valid anymore and it might be difficult to gain re-entry... Now I'll keep on working and saving money and hope I'll be able to re-immigrate as I plan to live my whole life in the U.S. What a magical region to visit/reside in.
Very helpful tipps! I am looking at the Parrot Hotel for my upcoming trip. Did you drive to Duval Street in the evening or did you use any other means of transportation?
Love this! I might follow your guys' itinerary. Also, may I ask how much your budget was for this whole trip? Planning on a girls trip for my 30th birthday for 5 days. Thank you!
My wife and I are going this summer and love your recommendations! My wife also loved your dresses, do you know where you bought them or what brand are they?
Just watch where you park in KW, right Ms. Mayor? Just because the sign says public parking does not mean the parking fee you already paid (to the city) will carry the day, right Ms. Mayor?
Do you think a boat/snorkeling adventure would be just as good down in Key West? We're thinking of just staying in Key West mostly, want to do a few things in Islamorado but don't want to get ubers every day lol.
Quick question. What’s the name of the bridge when you driving from Miami to keys and you can see the Atlantic Ocean at one side and the pacific at the other.
actually, there is no bridge anywhere that you can see the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Pacific on the other. BUT, you can see the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other.
Parasailing fatalities and accidents can happen. One just slammed into the 7 mike bridge after the cable broke causing horrible death and injuries. Sudden winds and storms make it dangerous..also, never allow kids on those. 2 kids very injured on that recent accident. Totally unregulated..
The cable didn’t break; it was cut by the captain due to the high winds that came up. This incident was a horrible one no doubt; however parasailing isn’t inherently dangerous.
@@Crymeariver227 you are correct. I replied before the news came out that the driver had cut the line to save the boat..unbelievably callous..but still, I wouldn't risk such a ride..that's just me I guess...

Anywhere to see waves and pick up shells?
The Florida Keys are not known for big waves, but there are lots of areas to pick up shells!
What hotel or arbnb did you stay at. I love the view!
We stayed at a few different hotels! We stayed at the Parrot Key in Key West and another in Isla Morada!
BAHIA HONDA DID HAVE A CLOTHING OPP BEACH..JUST TO LET YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVE KIDA WITH YOU HEADS UP ON THAT

There are lots of bands and pills you can take to help with that! :)

Yes we used a gopro for everything!

10:46 was this beach footage actually taken in the keys? I am not aware of anywhere in the keys that has a sandy beach like that unspoiled by seaweed.
We got super lucky with conditions and there was no seaweed!
The seaweed occurs at specific times of the year; spring isn’t one of those times.
