@@AreesDaOG yeah so here's the basics. the Romanov family was assassinated by the Bolsheviks. The Romanov family was arrested by the Bolsheviks and held in seclusion. the Bolsheviks murdered Nicholas, his family, and their closest retainers. Anastasia was killed with her immediate family ( her younger brother three sisters mother and father) some say she had survived the execution and escaped but the DNA proved she dies like the rest of them. supposedly they did not want the Romanov's to be in power and no one helped them because of political tension. it would make sense that she wanted to get revenge in the villain song because they murdered her and her family because of the power they had possessed. she was only 17 years old when she died. Anna Anderson stole Anastasia's identity and tried to gain her wealth there's a lot to the story and a lot of mystery. (not everything in this song may match with the past but most does)
I want to point out that this *is* a different song than the one you're thinking of. The melody of "Once Upon a December" is used for haunting effect at the beginning and the end, but the rest of the song is "Journey to the Past". It's also a good one, very different from this adaptation as she sings it as she's starting her journey at the beginning of the movie, so it's full of hope and promise and this turns it on its head.
Once upon a December is the name of the sing that you're looking for and i can agree that that song definitely stands out its actually my favorite song & when i was a kid i always had asked my cousin to sing the song to me so i could go to sleep
I saw the music video. Honestly i love it! Anastasia deserved better, and i love the moive and original ending but if she became the villain this would be her song and id love to watch the moive if this was the path Anastasia took. ❤
Do love seeing the twisted takes on classic like this haha one of my favs is this one that’s a cover but it’s just so fun haha ruclips.net/video/ieQ3c5VDtIc/видео.html
This would fit with history if she returned and gained control of Russia. As for death on mass, let me point to Stalin who had countless numbers of people killed. So it wouldn't be that different just purging the Bolsheviks and communist supporters. The question is how would Anastasia deal with WW2. Would she join Germany and Axis of Evil or go against the Axis and another question is what states overall would Russia be in.
The German attack on Russia during World War II has nothing to do with the regime in Russia. Even if there was an empire, they would still attack. And the Russian Empire, led by Anastasia with demonic powers, would also have no reason to treat Germany well. Socialism and Communism were originally a German idea, and Lenin arrived in Russia for the revolution from Europe.
Isn’t it surprising how just a simple little change shows how dark Disney animated movie are actually are? It just goes to show that villains are rarely born most of them are made
the people who actually studied the real Anastasia's past ( because she is a real person) this song definitely matches her history
WAIT FR? Can you give context or should I google it

I am digging the villain Princess songs. Now we need some of the classic male protagonist villain songs. Simba is who I’m hoping for
An evil version of “I Just Can’t Wait to be King”? (Shudder.)
