The way I see Cinderella's beef with the prince was, he had ample time during their dancing to ask for her name before she took off, but he never did and she had hoped that what he felt for her was so strong he wouldn't stop looking for her till he found her; as for her problem with everyone else; well, I guess its a sense of guilt via by-stander effect; Cinderella's father seemed to be a man of respectable standing and it didn't seem to be that big a kingdom, so people had to have some sense that something was wrong when Cinderella suddenly went from nice dresses and being waited on to rags and doing all the work, and even if Cinderella had never left the chateau, her stepmother felt like the type to hold parties, so someone had to have noticed the lack of Cinderella or servants during them; but because if Cinderella never said anything if confronted with her new situation and had hoped someone would step in regardless to save her like she did with the prince, but they did nothing, it could work in her head that they were just as bad as her family for not recognizing the abuse or stepping in despite her silence

I’m not surprised she snapped. She hasn’t had any kind of love since her parents died, her family is abusive, she’s worked to the bone, and she still powered through with kindness. The chance to go to the only thing she was excited for in who knows how long (the ball) was ruined for her, her dress got torn up by her step sisters, she was hopeless until her godmother appeared, and then for the first time in who knows how long…she feels love. Only for it to be ripped away at midnight forcing her to run away, and while yes the price tried to ask for her name she probably didn’t hear it over the loud ass bells ringing and her panic. Then she feels hopeless, regains hope when she hears the prince is looking for her, only for her hope to be crushed *again* when she’s locked away from her only chance at happiness/ love, on top of the fact that in that time period marriage was her only possible chance to escape her abusive family. She held out hope that the *one person* who gave her any crumb of love would continue looking for her only to learn that he found a different bride in probably less than a week. OF CORSE SHE SNAPPED🙃

Well you gotta also remember how she was living in ab×se in ye olden days. This man likely WAS her way out of the life she had lived. It was her first time feeling genuinely loved. Then this happens?
    Yeah her snapping made sense.

The song alone conjures up resentment and animosity, it’s just sublime! This is a ballad to every person who was looked down on, every ‘Cinderella’ who never got their happily ever after, so now decides to take it for themselves!

Funny is that theres literally a pop song called “Cinderalla snapped” so everybody agrees that she wouldve snapped if things went too far wrong

I personally understand her snapping cause of the prince. For years she never once felt love and that one night when Cinderella met him she thought she finally found the love that she was searching for and when she heard that he was looking for her she thought she could have it. So when the fairy godmother told her that the prince had married another then that made her snap. Whe your that desperate for love you would do anything at all to get it so in my opinion of course the prince would be the straw that broke the camel's back.

It isn't just the fact that the Prince moved on a married another woman, it's that he didn't even bother looking for her, in less than a month, he was married to another woman, leaving Cinderella is her toxic, abusive household, it's no wonder she snapped.

This is a nice reaction, legit Cinderella is my favorite fairytale so seeing how in this villain version of Cinderella her snapping and taking control in the evil way is something I think that really fits for her in this. Resenting how much she waited for so long and now taking her chances for vengeance for everything that broke her heart.
In the video also there’s a reimagining of the tales that go with the song so it adds more context to the song form what I read looking at it myself

Damn. This would have been a cruel twist. Cinderella finally snaps after all her misfortunes, and decides to finally take matters into her own hands. As well as taking everything that she deserves.
Though what happened to her stepmother?
