World Nomad Games Day 3 was incredible. We were surrounded by the Kyrgyz mountains and beautiful locals. Kara fell in love with all the babies and made a new best friend (or new Kyrgyz Grandma) who bought our lunch and made our day! Other highlights of this vlog include a yurt building race and EAGLE HUNTING! | Travel vlog 554 | Kyrgyzstan | Country #82

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this RUclips channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
Truly they are a most welcoming and wonderful people. I lived amongst Kyrgyz for more than two years straight. I miss very much my family there and we keep in touch every week. Truth is, you can visit Kyrgyzstan once but, it will never leave your heart; no matter where you go.
Thank you very much!
Kyrgyz people are the coolest and cutest ! Also these Kyrgyzistan vlogs are lit ! Thanx for showing us the beautiful world !

@@realsoul8131 Hey ! I have question, please ! What is the ground reality about the brides being kidnapped and marrying them forcefully? Is it very common in the country or some people do so? Thanx.
Thanks Kara and Nate! He's our baby. You made best vlog.
Your son is absolutely adorable!! ❤️
Your son is so beautiful ❤️
He's sooooo cute
Your son is so precious ❣
He’s such a cute little boy.
Some fun facts about Turkic culture, when you tried to pay for your Samsa she said 'Aşk olsun' which is translated as 'For the sake of love' and means it is a gift from her heart and you are offending her by not accepting it! Good thing you didn't push more after she said that due it would be considered as an insult like you don't care about her feelings!! Even in Turkey we are still using exactly same idiom for forcing people to accept things :))
Selam olsun Türk kardeşlerimize..
Thank you for translating! I love that phrase! ❤️
@@KaraandNate You are welcome and really thank you for sharing these amazing and lovely vlogs :)
Actually she said Аш болсун. It means bon appetite / enjoy your meal
@@LotsofJourneys Whether she said Ash Bolsun (Wishing for Abundance of Food) or Ashk Olsun (For the sake of Love), they're both Turkic expressions.
@Зама Кой Isn't this just semantics? Ash and Bolsun sound very Turkic. Please translate Ash Bolsun word for word. In Turkish, ash means food or meal, and bolsun can mean "let it be (wishing)" or "abundance."
I loved that grandma!!! Warms my heart
If you visit to Kyrgyzstan and stay with a Kyrgyz family and if there is grandma in the family 😁😁😁 she will take care of you same as her grandchild and you will be so fat;))) she will force you to eat a lot. It's grandmoms nature.
The segment with the eagles was breathtaking! What an amazing experience you guys had. The people were handsome, beautiful, proud, and majestic. A coworker was engaged to a man from Kyrgyzstan and all I ever knew was that horse meat was a traditional food there- I’m glad I watched your videos and learned there is much more to this country and it’s people!
that is one big smiley baby
Thank you for this series. I visited Kyrgyzstan in the late 90s. I appreciate how respectful and positive you are.
I want that baby!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 love this series!!! Kyrgyzstan is pristine and beautiful! I would love to travel there someday
Vanessa, welcome to Kyrgyz Republic! Visit us anytime!
Of all your videos [and I have watched about 85% so far] this one...this one [and those that go with it] are absolutely wonderful. What an experience - what a deeply emotive place - must have been like a dream.
What a beautiful example of what the world should be like! The Kazakhstan people are kind, generous & so loving! One of my places you have visited so far
BECAUSE THIS IS KYRGYZSTAN!
I love this series on the World Nomad Games. It's so cool! And that baby! o.m.goodness!
You never disappoint! You two are the same ages as my kids, so I love you to pieces. Stay safe out there. (that's what I always tell my boys lol)
I definitely want to check out the Nomad games when I’m next time in Kyrgyzstan.
I guess it will be in Turkey next year.Anyway, come to Kyrgyzstan and visit our lovely country.
Love your videos. I love hearing Kara’s laugh. Beautiful photography. You two are awesome!
This couple is who I inspire to be when I’m older😍
That is cool that you got to see this! It looks amazing! What an experience!
What a lovely people!!! I want to go there now 😍
You said it best - walk around and something interesting will happen
These games are so interesting . Kara looks so happy with the people there. i love your vlogs
Better get to 100 countries sooner than later. Kara seems to have contracted baby fever and that's always a good thing
"Note that at the Second World Games of nomads, the Grand Prix of the competition for the rapid installation of the yurt was given to the team of the Chui oblast, which assembled the yurt in 10 minutes." - So that's what Nate is basing the time off
I wanna go there someday, wish me luck🤞🏼🤷🏻♀️
Cutesy Kara with the overly cutesy babies!!! ♥️♥️♥️ i can imagine how much nates smile got really sparkling and biggest! 🤗🤗🤗
I just started to watch your vlogs etc. and i'm really in love with them. Unfortunately you have already visited my beautiful country (Greece) but i would be so glad if you could visit Greece and the island of Crete and spend some time with me! You are AWESOME!
Awww the baby is soo cute ❤️❤️
Beautiful video ❤️❤️ Kara and Nate are the best RUclipsrs
I love you Kyrgyzstan!!!!

I know I am late but am I the only one that thinks this is like the hunger games?
Those dirty little pies looked delicious!! hee hee Am I the only person watching your vlogs that is having anxiety at how close you all are coming to reaching your goal of 100 countries? I think you need to extend your goal to 150 countries (there are 195 countries in the world, so that is an option too.) Also, were those really eagles? They looked like falcons to me, but I am not a bird expert. In any case, the Nomad Games look amazing and my teenage sons want to go see them someday. I wonder if there are any non-stop flights from Seattle? HA!!
As I watched, I couldn't help but be thankful for how respectful you both are of the culture and the people, it is refreshing to see with all the negative things we are bombarded with all the time. I hope/wish you captured an interview with the USA people competing in the event(s). It would be interesting to hear their story as well. Loved the outtake of Nate being the director! Great job you guys.
Yeah, I am always extremely impressed with how you two conduct yourself in these countries. I am pretty sure that you have already left Kyrgyzstan but if you go to the next one held in Turkey I'd be interested in hearing from the American competitors.
If you are enjoying this I would also recommend for you two to check out The Arctic Winter Games and also WEIO which in a nutshell are the winter versions of the Nomad Games.
Absolutely and well said! They are great ambassadors for the United States.
They do a great job. I remember how much flack they received for doing the Myanmar cruise. Kara and Nate are cultural ambassadors. With the proverbial "ugly American" manifesting itself around the world when playing tourist, it's great to see people just enjoying the people and culture where they are.
That said, the international affairs professional in me constantly aches for some deeper socio-political commentary in the places they go (like Kyrgyzstan being the only nominally functional democracy of the Central Asian republics). But this is not that channel, and I'm OK. :)
sometimes people forget that absolutely everywhere you can find good, peaceful, lovely hearts and no matter where they are, what religion, color, sex or age they will show kindness. be kind to one another! ;)
I'm Kyrgyz, but now living in EU, seeing this made me cry (so missing my county)...Thank you guyz for being so sweet, I hope you enjoyed this trip a lot. You always be welcomed in Kyrgyzstan!
Same, I was just sitting in Budapest and waiting for flight to home when I found this video in recommendations.

I am so humbled by the beauty, kindness and vitality of the Kyrgyz people. I didn't know what to expect of this country, but I somehow never expected this. I have such an enormous amount of respect, and it restores faith in humanity. It reminds me that in some places in the world, kindness still reigns over hostility. ❤
His little face when you spin him around is absolutely everything! ❤️

U are Kazakh girl:)
I'm always suddenly proud when you guys tell someone you're from the U.S. Ya'll are some of the best people to be representing us.
I couldn't agree more. The pride is strong with these two.
it’s true- so many of us outside american come to believe the people are not good/ stupid/ violent etc due to mist media depictions whereas you find the opposite is true if you actually meet real Americans, many of whom are as nice as nate and kara
I have followed you for a long time, but this is my favorite series yet. Thanks!
Agreed!
better than "national geographic" but at the same time too short!
pity ... but keep showing us the world as you do with the majority of people who make up the human species ... the simple people who meet on your channel ...
This is one of your best set of vlogs. I wish I was there to see everything. So different from what everyone else are posting. Can't wait to see more of the games.
I second that! Just wish we could see more! The people are so friendly and welcoming.
World's Cutest Baby!!!!!!
Cutest baby until it has a diaper full of shit. Daddy drinks because you cry !
It's always people who have the least who give the most! Great video!

I can't decide whether those eagles are terrifying or if I want one as a pet. 😂
Depending on where u like u might need a falconry license
Ordinary US citizens are not allowed to own eagles, or even eagle feathers. Only rehab places, and some zoos, may take care of eagles, and only Native Americans may own eagle feathers.
Great vlog!.. The baby was so adorable!.. The " Kyrgyz Grandma" was so kind and super-friendly! the pastry she bought you guys looked so yummy, I could almost taste it from here, the sports are so unique, so much history there!.. Can't wait to see more!
Your presentation is perfect. Your storytelling skills shows. From knowing nothing about the games to now watching and seeing the events makes me want to attend the next one.
After watching your vlogs for several years now, I realize that I've never told you something. Sometimes Americans get a bad rap as arrogant, loudmouthed , rude, etc. Not so with you, as you're always displaying a big smile, even when things are difficult, and you're both so courteous. You improve our international image every day you're out. Thanks just for who you are.
Amazing that they still do these games, it's agreat way to keep traditions alive. Most people probably never even heard of Kyrgyzstan, but you guys are doing it great justice from a tourism perspective here. 👍🙌
Nate, Why would you apologize? This video was AMAZING! Kara, when you are in the picture, you are wonderful, when eating, you are awesome, but when you are with new people, you are THE most radiant flower any viewer could want to see! (You and that child were smiling beyond belief)
You just gained a super fan. I wish I had known you guys to participate in your giveaway in March. The best thing about traveling is meeting strangers who do act of kindness. It makes it just a better time . Thank you for sharing your adventures. I think I have seen maybe 60 videos out of your 595. It going take a while but worth it..👍
That is the best part... watching each video and seeing how they progress... and the beautiful places they go! Enjoy the ride!
You know the only thing that sucks about traveling a lot you can't relate to most Americans.. I traveled all across the United States Canada and Mexico.. I find most Americans don't know much about even the state next to them... All your stories will be like a fairy tale to most of us in the states...
Мекеним Кыргызстан!!!Суйом сени Кыргыз элим,Ата-Журтум, Кыргызстанда торолгонумо кубанам
That old lady was so determined for you to get the first ones, and what a gesture of kindness from her... Loving these vlogs from The Nomad games so much 😊
She was PRECIOUS💞
The randomness was perfect! Great vlog! 💖
One of your most interesting videos ever! You have opened up a part of the world we knew nothing about. Thank you guys for making the journey so far away for all of us. So glad we are subscribers.
Hi Kara & Nate wow the games look so amazing - this is now on our bucket list !. So many interesting things to see. We would have ended up taking far to much footage !. That snack looked delicious. Loved the eagles - in fact loved all of it - Thanks for another awesome vlog. Chris & Marianne
Hi everyone! I'm from Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬🇰🇬🇰🇬I love u Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬🇰🇬 🇰🇬 I'm so glad
We really appreciate that you are making so many videos from the games! It is a great way for us to get a feel of what it would have been like to have been there as we were supposed to have hitchhiked all the way there from Turkey this year just for the Nomad Games, but cut our journey short due to health issues. We love Kyrgyzstan and it was one of our absolute favourite and most unique countries on our hitchhiking journey from Thailand to Spain last year. We aren't suprised she paid for your samsa, this kind of thing happens all the time when you are hitchhiking in Turkey, the Caucasus and Central Asia. Thanks again for sharing this amazing experience!!!
I think every stressful urban people should visit this great landscape.
Kara and children... melts :)
I LOVE KYRGYZSTAN!!! 🇺🇸🤝🇰🇬💖💛❤

Religion is dumb. Religion is for the weak that can't live in reality and the real world. You sound like one of those people. For you, I feel sorry.
The video was not random at all. This is how it happened and it’s how I love to watch it! This by far is one of your best videos ever! Totally loving your stuff! Hope to meet you someday! 👍🏼👍🏼
I was so upset when the first part ended at the opening ceremony and I thought that was it and you'd move on to another country, being in a rush and having this race to visit as many countries as you can in the shortest amount of time. But this has turned into a 3-part eye-feast! How amazing is that filmography?! As if there was a bunch of movie-making pros hiding and secretly doing all that gorgeous and wonderfully-edited filming for you.
Kara looks so lovely with babies, I bet she would be an excellent mother some day

I love all the amazing interactions with the nomads! They are so cute. This vlog reminded me of your earlier ones, I love the randomness.
FYI these people are the original turks..the turkish people you see in the west originally came from here they mixed with europeans a lot and lost their Asian appearance
Looks an absolute fabulous place to visit
Hopefully it doesn't get ruined with migrants. Every culture in Europe is being destroyed
Seems like it's a universal grandma thing: always trying to feed you! Great and very insightful video!

The randomness was the best way to show the event.
