I am running a Nikon Z6 and Fuji X100V. The Fuji is great for when I want that film look and am feeling artsy, or just want a small camera to bring with me. The Nikon dominates everything else. The images I get from my Nikon are incredible. Welcome to the club!
Same here. Sold off all (..almost) my Fuji gear after trying a Z50 and then getting Z6ii. No way I get rid of my X100V. It’s so discrete and invisible. I left Nikon a few years ago for Fuji but after using Z50 & Z6ii I am BACK! Colors & metering from Z bodies/lenses are superb. Build quality is excellent. Kudos to Nikon for bringing it. I’ll never give up Fuji colors entirely but Nikon has something with how pleasant their ‘accurate’ colors/tones are.
@@TCinSoCal 100%, I absolutely feel the same. I went through a similar experience. Sold off my X-T3 and Fuji gear. I feel that the X100 and Nikon compliment each other well and do things different enough to each warrant a place in my kit. Nikon is killing it lately and I am enjoying it!
If you shoot different types of photography you can set up the U1, U2, and U3 buttons and save your settings to each one. So if you do sports, you can set the camera up to how you would have it to shoot sports and then save it to one of the U controls. You can do the same for astrophotography and portraits or whatever you shoot that has certain settings that you start out on. Then you just have to switch it to the one you need for the type of photography you're doing at the time. But wait, it gets better. You can customize the function buttons and the i menu for each one of the U controls. You don't need spot metering for astrophotography but you will for portraits. You can set up a function button just got spot metering to use when you are using that U control. You can have that same button set up to do something different on another U control. You might want bracketing or focus stacking in the i menu for one of the U controls but not in that menu for one of the others.
Hi Omar, congrats on the purchase! I also went and bought a z6ii after watching your videos 😂(used to be a Fuji shooter). Turn on USB power delivery to enable PD power bank charging while camera is on. Cheers!
Absolutely. I bought the Z6ii and FTZ to start transitioning slowly from my F mount lenses to Z but the Z primes simply never leave my camera, they're that good. I am obsessed.
I think it's great that you use a Fuji xt3/4, Sony A7iii, and a Nikon z6ii, these are all amazing cameras and I'm sure you love them all for their own uses. keep up the great work on the channel mate!
Thank you! The AF-S part was particularly enlightening! I shot Canon equipment when I went digital and switched to Nikon after many years when I went full-frame. I bought used Nikon equipment (D750 and 3 lenses) from a wedding photographer and didn't understand why just the 50mm lens didn't focus with my new Z-6 and FTZ converter. After watching your video, I noticed the other 2 lenses were the AF-S type and the 50 was just AF. I also programed my FN1 button for image preview (from your tip) as one of the drawbacks of Nikon is having to change your grip of the lens to hit the button on the left side. Something Canon figured out years ago!
Honestly, the Z mount is just beginning to show what it can do. Nikon have set themselves up for a long time with this mount, from perfect image quality with their new Z lenses, to crazy stuff like the Megadap that lets people autofocus with any older/vintage lens. Truly a future-proof system. For mine, I've got it all setup for manual focus/vintage lenses. Focus peaking on, AE-L button is a 200% zoom to quickly check focus, then my F1/F2 on the front of the camera are set to multi-exposure/HDR and image quality (since the Z6 needs to be shooting .jpg in order to do the stacking in-camera, not that I use it that often). Record button in camera mode lets me select the focal length of my manual lens (to get IBIS).
You can also make your prewiev do the highligt overexposure warning👏🏻👏🏻😁🙌🏼 Nice littlw future, which I think not many knows about..... or baybe they do..😁🙌🏼
@@HorsesbyWinje Hey Mr. Horse :) Can you explain further lke where is that setting... I have exposure warning on so AFTER I shoot the pic, on pic review, if I cycle thru display I can see the blinking etc if highlights are blown. Are you saying PREVIEW like before you take the pic, the Nikon can show the over exposed parts?? Thx..
@@HorsesbyWinje Ok Thx Mr Horse...I see. I didn't have the 6. Only the 6II. Last Nikon I had lol was a D90 SLR which had THE best color Science IMO even way back then and LOTS of Hot Pixels meh! . Thx for the info.. Happy riding...be well :)
It's a cold, hard heart that can say no to that Nikon image quality. Just beautiful files! In terms of settings, I like to change my Fn button options to where I can press once and then rotate the dial like on my Fuji cameras instead of the default press-and-hold while changing. I just hate holding the little button down while turning the dials.
Matthew THANK YOU...Awesome tip. It was driving me nuts trying to hold the fn buttons esp while turning the different focus types, felt super clumsy NOW solved thx to you.. Really love this...Dr Omar, if you are listening, GREAT video...and picked up some nice tips from you here. BTW if anything I'm a Fuji guy but I am so tired now of Fuji color...I LOVE LOVE the Nikon files...cause colors are so nice and spot on...ohhh I'm off subject here. :)
I've configured my joystick press and hold to disable flash. When using ttl flashs the z cams disable the live exposure preview, which kind of makes it difficult to visualise the bg exposure, when the joystick is pressed and held the camera shows the actual exposure. Its particularly useful for me while shooting in high speed sync.
Got my Nikon 7ii today! Can't wait to play a bit....Funny about the dials being reversed for non-Nikon shooters. I played w some other brands and was so confused....I've always thought of it like...the one closest to the lens...is the aperture...the one closest to the back/body was the shutter...glad you can customize it to fit anyone needs. Have fun.
Great video as always Omar. As a Nikon user the 1st thing I change is f6 - Release Button to Use Dial. Set to on and you no longer have to hold a button down while you adjust a setting. A9 Focus point wrap, it allows the focus point to move from one edge of the display to the other side. Not such a big deal now that there is touch screen but I like it. F5 Customize command dials, I turn on for menus and playback so that I can use the command dials to navigate menus and images. Everything else are basic changes or weird things that only make sense to me.
Thanks. You’re the third person to mention to release button. I’ll have to give it another shot as I found I was accidentally engaging it while shooting
My Z6II has been amazing so far. It makes shooting a joy. I just have a few Z lenses so far, but they're a next level kind of thing. The 50/1.8 is just insanely sharp.
This video made me smile! I've enjoyed watching your journey with the Z mount and having just purchased a Z6ii 2 days ago, I thought you had decided to shelve Nikon, so thankful you haven't! After a year of research and testing the Sonys and Canons (also loved the XT-4), in the end the Z6ii just had more of everything I really needed than the others... AND at a price-point $1k under everything else I was considering (R6 & A7RIII). Looking forward to more tips and tricks! You might enjoy checking out Hudson Henry's site and a dude in Utah called... "Chris StewBlu", his recent Nikon videos are hilarious. Love your content Omar, thanks!
Hey Omar - one thing to consider is setting your F1 are the Image review play button and then turn image review off - this way you can see images only as needed while keeping your eye up to the viewfinder - this is super convenient for checking your flash work's exposure and also for reviewing images outside when the sun is bright and the back screen is washed out. Also your subjects will never know that you are image reviewing, which is nice :) Then program the video record button to be the AF toggle button (taking the place of what you use F1 for now) - then change the dials when using the AF toggle so that the back dial changes things like single point and auto area with eye detect etc, and the front dial changes between Af-s and Af-c - its less awkward this way. As far as white balance goes - just program that into your i menu for fast access when needed - I assume you don't change your white balance from shot to shot.
Great to hear you have bought into the Nikon system . You would make a great Nikon Ambassador. I look forward to more of your videos . Always very informative and entertaining. Thank you for the effort.🙏🙏
You are seriously my favorite! I am going to get one and this was so helpful! You crack me up and I just love your videos. Thanks for all the work you put into them! If you make it to San Diego CA would love to grab coffee! Have an awesome day Omar!
Having watched your recent Nikon videos a few times, my Z6ii has just arrived today :) I fell in love with Fuji a number of years ago, highly influenced then again by your videos. The Z system seems to be a great full frame system to use in tandem with Fuji. I recently ordered and instantly returned a Sony A7iii as it felt very cheap and almost like a controller for a games console (just my opinion). The z6ii feels like it is in a different league in every way though. Eye auto-focus maybe be slightly better with the Sony (apparently), but the z6ii has a lot of room to grow with updates and though I've had the camera for all of 5 hours so far, I am absolutely blown away by the quality of the build and it's images. Thank you Omar for sharing your creativity with us all, yet also making me laugh with every video I watch of yours :)
I rented the Nikon Z6 II for about a week last year, and really enjoyed it as well. Unlike the Canon, Nikon released some very nice, fast and affordable compact primes. The 24, 35, 50, and 85 f1.8 primes are fast, quiet and very good quality. I also love the ergonomic design, of the Nikon Z bodies and I love how you can pick RAW sizes especially in the higher resolution bodies like the Z7 II. The dynamic range won me over as well as they use a Sony sensor. The only thing that turned me off is the autofocus system. But I felt like I could get used to it. Nikon is a great company and I really hope they survive the lull they have and I think the Z series is severely underrated partly because of maybe their more “quieter” feature set. Best thing about the Nikon is you can get a really nice professional kit for a very affordable price. And their f1.8 primes are better than Canon’s in image quality. You’re making me want to consider a Nikon purchase! 😂
In your post, you stated that you had a problem with the Nikon autofocus system, but you did not explain what the problem is that you had with it versus what you are used to? What were those problems specifically may we ask?
Hi Omar This video just came up again in my feed. I watched it all again after one year with the 6ii. Very handy! Im' only a beginner So I have no tips!
OMG, I also thought I was the crazy person that prefers the shutter speed to be controlled by the front dial! Thanks to you I can now change that to my liking; thanks for the tip man!
For a clean image review with no unnecessary data, go into Playback Display Options and select "none." Uncheck any options you do not want to see. I have None and RGB histogram selected. I can cycle between these two easily using the up and down keys on the d-pad. Also, check out menu f64 - it's got amazing detail (that's a joke there Ansel ;)
some good little pointers. much appreciated. But if I may add, to all those reading this, you can change your Fn1 and 2 buttons to different things on photo and video mode. so for me I have it as depth of field preview, and bracketing for photo mode, and video mode I have it as live view display info off or on and f2 as AF settings.
Great video, lot's of fun to see how you setup the camera. Since I am constantly switching between Z 7II (very similar settings) and Canon 6D II, I found your "shutter speed on the front dial" change to be useful, as I'm often confused after switching from the Canon to the Nikon, like "oh which dial does what again? Oh yeah..." A couple of other things I always change: RAW 14-bit with lossless compression (as it doesn't lose any data), Color Space Adobe (not sure if that is worth the hassle of constantly converting to sRGB but I do it anyway). I set Active D-Lighting to low to preserve the shadows. I have been using red for focus peaking but I will try the yellow now to see how that goes. Cheers...
Congrats Omar!!! While you are now stepping onto the Z world I have to detour myself to the X system for budget reason. Might be getting that Nikkor f/1.2 in the future once I have money :)
I had bought a used Z6 out of full frame curiosity, I've been a Fuji shooter for years and had accumulated a decent kit. Well, the Z6 absolutely blew me away. Ergonomically perfect. Amazing EVF. Quick AF. Awesome RAW colors and image quality. Considering how close this is in size and weight to the X-T4... the Nikon Z stuff should start worrying Fujifilm. At least comparing SLR-style prosumer bodies and zooms.
One of the first thing I do on amy of my new Nikon FX cameras is set the lower front Fn button to allow me to switch between FX and DX modes so if I want to grab a slightly magnified shot (basically an automatically cropped photo) I just press that button and scroll to DX mode for a pseudo-telephoto shot. Kind of weird, I know, but works for me.
Omar, you helped to make my mind when going from a D5500 to a X-T20, and now that i'm thinking to get a full frame camera all that i think is a Z6 (version one for now). Btw, B&H should send you the new 40mm F2 as soon as it gets out! Greetings from Portugal and keep up these great videos.
Helpful hint you can map the record button to change AF modes and swap the command dials for focus so the back command dial changes the different focus boxes from wide small auto area etc and the front dial changes from AFC to AFS makes for changing focus modes very quick on the fly as quick as changing iso
Hey, I didn't think you were gonna go for it for a minute there! Congrats and I hope you enjoy your new camera, Omar! I think I might try your Record Button / White Balance switcheroo, it makes a lot of sense and then I can free up the front custom button. I mix in a lot of vintage glass and LOVE that SnapBridge tethering (surprisingly seamless once you get it paired) so I keep "Non-CPU Lens Data" and "Connect To Smart Device" in the My Menu, and have "Silent Photography," "Apply Settings to Live View," and "Choose Image Area" (mostly for extra reach in video mode) in the quick menu. Oh, and have you seen those Pergear CFExpress cards? They're crazy cheap for the format, like $119 for 128gb, 189 for 256, and 319 for 512gb. Just in case you're looking for some backups for your backups
Mr Omar, when You said "Pressing and holding button" You can turn this in menu for JUST PRESSING, You don't need to hold anymore, just once pressing and scroll the wheels to set what You want, once You pressing You got few seconds for change, is easier, quicker no need to hold the button, You can give Your finger brake ;) Photography is so hard Job, any little help makes this job easier.
I initially switched over from Fuji to Nikon last week. The Nikon Z6 is excellent, but I have cancelled selling my Fuji X-T4 and X-T30 and will keep just 2 lenses, The Fuji has a soul, the Nikon is simply a camera. BTW, I use the Z6II front function button to playback so I can do the majority of things with just one hand.
I was a big Fuji fan the z cameras killed them for me I have slowly moved back to Nikon all I have kept is my xpro2 and a 35m f1.4 lens. The new z pancake or muffin lens will probably mean I now sell them as well Z 6ii handles most things very well not perfect but still love it
Welcome back Nikon ! I been shooting with D4s and D700 for years but wanted lighter, mirrorless and Nikon didnt have what I want so bought some Fuji cameras (XT2/XT3) Really good, but now Nikon have dual cards, I bought Z6ii and its really good ! Seriously good. So just invested in my first Z lens (Been using FTZ) 24-70 2.8. Initial tests show it sharp !! heard it sharp enough at all focal lengths. I am just thinking now, when I do Events/weddings and parties I will use my X6/24-70 and my Fuji XT3/50-140 f2.8 (Instead of heavy 70-200 AF-S) My only thought is, will colours be ok, matching wise and full frame v APS of Fuji. I will be editing in Lr so will it matter????
Hi Omar Love your videos thanks for your insights to the z62. I too got to own a z62 recently. I'm struggling with the looks of the jpeg in z62. My fuji x100v jpegs do have a certain pleasing look or may be i'm just used to it. The portrait color profile looks to give a much closer tones to Fujifilm. How do you think the jpeg differ between Fuji X and Z62?
Great video and really helped me to set up mine. Can you tell me how I can see the focus points and move. I cannot see the focus square via view finder when I am composing. Hope you can help me.
Congrats Omar! I want to hear your opinion on something regarding fujifilm cameras... Ive heard that the RAW files are not that great from two youtubers, and regarding build quality, fujifilm cameras *relatively* dont endure as much of long term abuse and accidental bumps compared to other brands....? And finally, do you personally prefer nikon or fuji in terms of colors...ppl say nikon has the most accurate colors and skin tunes but almost everyone agree that fuji colors and film simulations are photographic joy.. Id really REALLY appreciate your reply(=.
Thanks for the review of your setup. Helpful since I got one of these guys 3 weeks ago. :D Loving it... Are you back to a 3 system shooter? Sony, Nikon, Fuji? Where does Nikon fit in your use? Sony has been your Pro and Fuji as ben your "ME TIME" camera"
Noice... Curious to is if (how) that evolves. While I love my Z6II for my hobby/landscape, I still do love my Fuji X70 for my family random shots. Can't beat the small yet powerful X70.
Hi Omar, I have been enjoying watching your videos lately, thanks for the content. I am curious to know what inspired you to get into the Nikon mirrorless world. Sure the Z6II is a good camera but why pick that over a Canon R6/R5 or stay with the Sony one(s) you have?
Omar, thank you for your entertaining and informative videos! In one of your videos, you used the word, "chanclas", I love it, it's been a while since I heard that word. Can you please tell me what auto-focusing settings you use when taking photos of 2 or more people? Everyone focuses on the eye-detect for a single person, but I want to understand how to take sharp group photos. I greatly appreciate any info you can provide. There are so many different configurations for setting up the camera, it's overwhelming. Thank you in advance.
For Fn1 I have focus settings as you do. But I'm torn regarding Fn2. Fn2 -> I keep going back and forth between "Subject tracking" and "Disable/enable flash." I like the latter because with my camera and flash combo "Apply settings to live view" is automatically toggled to off when I turn on my flash, and viceversa. It is quite handy to press Fn2 to get an ambient light preview when shooting flash, or to quickly snap an available light shot. But then I can't do subject tracking as easy. I would love for Nikon to add flexibility to button customization. Also it would be amazing if subject tracking could be engaged pressing a button regardless of the current area mode.
Good stuff. The Z6ii is a fun camera to use. I have Fn2 button set to playback. Game changer for me. Without taking my eye away from the viewfinder I can quickly check an image in the EVF and correct anything that may not be working for the next shot. No more looking on the back screen to check. If you look at the back screen the subject (especially kids) often say can I have a look and generally flow is interrupted.
"OK" button as 100% magnify which will go to the focus point of your photo, of course you can use tap to tap whenever you want during playback - this should solve you problem in previous videos B-)
For video, use Neutral and set your Contrast to -3 and Saturation to -2. Best results to color grade compared to Flat profile which artificially raises ISO in the shadows.
Great video Omar! I sold my XT20 and thinking of selling my D500 with the Nikon gear. I'm a landscape, cityscape and a bit of sport photographer. I'm debating between the XS10 to Z6... Thoughts? (will the XS10 can do sport photography?)
The X-S10 is a gorgeous camera. I tried it for a few days but settled on the Nikon Z6 II after seeing this video. The Nikon is on another level compared to the X-S10. Its much more up to date. Amazing colour accurate touch screen, viewfinder, and really natural colours that can be made to pop. It has excellent dynamic range and of course the FX sensor giving lush bokeh. It has weatherproofing too compared to X-S10 and NEF files are easy to edit in lightroom mobile. It is of course much more expensive compared to X-S10. If you were comparing between X-T 4 and Z6 II, which are closer in price I would get the Nikon. But it kind of depends on what lenses you have already and available funds, but the Nikon is the better camera but heavier and more expensive. I hope that helps. 👍
I have the Z6II but I saw the Z5 went on sale for like 1000 bucks and man you can not not buy it at that price point. It made me feel like I spent 1000 extra for very little ;)
Omar congrats on being a Nikon owner, but I have a question for you, I have the original Z6 and my son has the Z6 ii and as an event shooter yourself as we are, do you find the eye autofocus on your Sony locking on more or is stickier under harsher lighting conditions. My reason for asking is we had an event and although it went well, the Z6 II, which was used for video and photos at one point on the main stage, the video was fine but the eye autofocus was erratic by comparison. We still use a Nikon d750 and a d500 for sports and two black magic for video. Since you are a Sony shooter and I’m not sure if you have shot many things with the Nikon yet, but are you going to change your habits with event shooting and still shoot Sony or incorporate Nikon more. We had three shooters at our event with one of them shooting video on part of the event with the Z6 Ii that was used on the main screen for graduation. We are expanding and getting more government contracts and we primarily will use black magic for video only, but this was an exception. I want and need the accuracy more for photos on the Nikon than video and yes we both know how to make the autofocus changes quickly and the cameras are set up correctly, but accuracy is key and I’m being told that for this purpose Sony A7 series might be an answer. I need the autofocus to stick and not move because kids never do as you want during the times that you need them to, so as you know you must be ready for almost everything. We are using a QR code system for graduation photos to link them. I’m also glad that weddings are opening back up again and we have one in three weeks, along with 9 other events.
I rarely use eye AF during events even with Sony’s excellent one. Locked single focus point to capture fast moving action in low lighting. For the Nikon, I parked it on a center square and had a good hit rate. For video, not sure. Most videographers I work with manual focus
@@ogonzilla for video we mainly use the Blackmagic cameras and they are manual focus, we just didn't want to bring them out for this shoot because it wasn't really needed so the Nikon was used and I believe my video guy was manual focus. Me and the other photographer were shooting photos. Thanks Omar.
Hi! I just sold my xt3 and just got my z6ii today. I could not seem to set a small box like my xt3 and move it with the joystick. Or does the z6ii have one like that?
I sold my D750 for the Nikon Z6. I don’t know what magic went into the new sensor, but it’s better than the D750. But more importantly, the new Z lenses are creme of the crop! NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S is probably the best glass I own! (well my AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR is also a keeper).
Image quality blew everything I own away. Files are doing exactly what I’ve been looking for so for me it was a win. The D780 is sort of a hybrid of the two btw
@@ogonzilla thanks Omar - thats very helpful. Im doing a lot of food photography for a social media company - so colour is important - I noticed 'the bite shot' have moved to the Z7 ll from Canon.
What of the Reviews lets you hesitate? I believe I sag all of them and they all test the Camera very good except the AF being behind Sony or Canon. But first, the AF is very good and second it is highly overrated as Killer Feature. If in the real world you are not only fotographing jumping people you might even like the AF and get used to it.

Perfect timing - my Z6ii arrived today! Thanks Omar!
fuji fanboy here with difficulty listening to this stuff, but liking and commenting for the algorithm. Go gettem Omar!
I tried this. My clumsy fingers kept bumping and engaging the buttons...so I went back. :)
OMG… I’ve got a cold, hard heart…help me😩
Great to know! Just got my Z6ii and was already frustrated with this lol.
Omar, I m so happy that your keeping the Nikon Z6ii so that i could learn more tips and ideas from you :D Congrats and thank you :D
Woohooo! Look forward to more Nikon videos! Glad you enjoy the system!
Thanks! Just got a Z5 as a second camera to go with the Z7. Appreciate the tips as I have to set up all over again.
As a Fuji and Nikon shooter, these make me so happy! Hoping to get a Z body sometime soon!
Just purchased a Z6ii thank you for the videos their really helpful
Enjoy it!! So good
OMG… Omars moved to the “dark side”. No seriously great camera Omar I hope you enjoy it 😉👍
Having watched your recent Nikon videos a few times, my Z6ii has just arrived today :) I fell in love with Fuji a number of years ago, highly influenced then again by your videos.
Hi Omar
This video just came up again in my feed.
I watched it all again after one year with the 6ii. Very handy!
Im' only a beginner So I have no tips!
OMG, I also thought I was the crazy person that prefers the shutter speed to be controlled by the front dial! Thanks to you I can now change that to my liking; thanks for the tip man!
This was a great video. You get it my friend.
He has left Planet Fuji. God Speed, Omar Gonzalez.
Looking forward to some lens reviews :)
Thank you Omar, very informative and interesting video, always learn new things from your video. Enjoy your new Nikon Z6ii👍😊
Cheers...
Yay Congrats Omar, for going for Nikon!!!
Congrats Omar!!! While you are now stepping onto the Z world I have to detour myself to the X system for budget reason. Might be getting that Nikkor f/1.2 in the future once I have money :)
I just showed up to see the Superman and Spider-Man items in the background…
Also, good video about basic settings and mapping!
Congrats! Love to see you have it.
I’ve heard there’s an E to Z mount adapter that apparently works just fine. If that’s the case I might consider getting the Z6ii as well.
Yes, it works very well
another great video Omar !
haha I enjoyed this video. You're easy to follow, I came to figure out how to turn my back button on. also, all your settings just make sense. Thanks!
Glad to help
I had bought a used Z6 out of full frame curiosity, I've been a Fuji shooter for years and had accumulated a decent kit. Well, the Z6 absolutely blew me away. Ergonomically perfect. Amazing EVF. Quick AF. Awesome RAW colors and image quality. Considering how close this is in size and weight to the X-T4... the Nikon Z stuff should start worrying Fujifilm. At least comparing SLR-style prosumer bodies and zooms.
True, but the only issue is lens sizes. Fujifilm will always win when you slap on a 27mm pancake!! :)
@@ogonzilla Very true. Which is where crop sensors have always had the edge!
Well, they aren’t pancakes but the 28mm & 40mm muffins are coming!
Cool. I'd like one more button to add this! Used up my front two for focus.
Can't wait to receive my Z6 ii. Very usefull vifeo !
Helpful hint you can map the record button to change AF modes and swap the command dials for focus so the back command dial changes the different focus boxes from wide small auto area etc and the front dial changes from AFC to AFS makes for changing focus modes very quick on the fly as quick as changing iso
Yes. Thanks. I have it set that way.
The SnapBridge app was a pleasant surprise.
Mr Omar, when You said "Pressing and holding button" You can turn this in menu for JUST PRESSING, You don't need to hold anymore, just once pressing and scroll the wheels to set what You want, once You pressing You got few seconds for change, is easier, quicker no need to hold the button, You can give Your finger brake ;)
Photography is so hard Job, any little help makes this job easier.
The new z pancake or muffin lens will probably mean I now sell them as well
Z 6ii handles most things very well not perfect but still love it
Just grab an X100T or V and Z6ii for everything else.
@@TCinSoCal Thats what I did.. sold all my Fuji stuff except the x100v, and now have Nikon Z + X100V combo
Omar, Great video. Its not clear from the video, how to change setting to stop taking pictures when you touch a screen. Which setting is that?
Pep guardiola explaining the settings of z6ii! 😛
I don't have that camera and I've never owned an Nikon....now thanks to Omar I want one…. damn you Omar!!!! Lol!
I am just thinking now, when I do Events/weddings and parties I will use my X6/24-70 and my Fuji XT3/50-140 f2.8 (Instead of heavy 70-200 AF-S)
My only thought is, will colours be ok, matching wise and full frame v APS of Fuji. I will be editing in Lr so will it matter????
They can match pretty good. You might have to do some initial tests with blue/red and skin tones.
Hi Omar
Love your videos thanks for your insights to the z62.
Fujifilm for street. Nikon for portrait sessions. Sony for events (for now).
Congrats Omar on the Z6 II what will be your next Z lens .... (Jedi mind powers) the 50mm 1.2? :) Cheers Matt
Taking it slow. For now the adapted 105mm 1.4 is godly.
You should try the Z8, I think you will love it :)
Good choice. Ergonomics and usability I prefer over Canon.
Yay congrats! What's going to happen to your sony gear? And what lenses are you getting?
Ualllll what an amazing video, tks
You are a Rock star
I guess I'll have to go buy a Z body now so I can tell you what settings I use....yeah...that's the ticket.
Congrats for the buy it’s great 😊
I’m also Nikon rookie 💀✋
You can change the settings in the viewfinder since you can see the settings menu there without taking the camera from your face.
"OK" button as 100% magnify which will go to the focus point of your photo, of course you can use tap to tap whenever you want during playback - this should solve you problem in previous videos B-)
Nice looking egg!
For video, use Neutral and set your Contrast to -3 and Saturation to -2. Best results to color grade compared to Flat profile which artificially raises ISO in the shadows.
Cool thanks!
holy hell... i've been using z6 for the past 2 years day in and day out... how did i miss that ROTATE TALL option?. thanks Omar..
You're welcome. (winks and points)
Excellent video thank you 👍🏻
Great video Omar!
Could you please do a video about the JPEG settings on the Nikon? 😊 (Picture control)
loved it. thanks😘
Oh Omar, you gonna mess up the Fuji world.
La marcha de Zacatecas 🇲🇽
Funny enough I do almost all those exact same Changes. Even the final naming one
Omar how did you set up the focus to go back to the middle i keep rewatching and can’t seem to figure out how you programmed it. Ty
I set the joystick PUSH function to RESET. Sets the focus point back to the middle
Will you use it for personal use or for work? I Will follow you with the same decision... all the best!!
Will you do a review of the Nikon Z5?
there no shortucut button for format thecard like nikon DSLR no more?
Hi Omar,
If you could choose between z6 ii and x-t4 and only have that camera what would you choose and why?
Hi, I would like to ask you how is the match between the XT 200 of Fujifilm, and the 12mm Samyang. Thank you so much!
I’m 51% convinced to get a Z5
haha...wait until it's 64%.
Thanks Omar.
very important function Iso+front dial turns on auto iso.
Hi! I just sold my xt3 and just got my z6ii today. I could not seem to set a small box like my xt3 and move it with the joystick. Or does the z6ii have one like that?
How have you found the Z6II Omar - I'm a Nikon D750 owner but still undecided because of the mixed reviews.
