It's Alex with Torsion Garage Door. Today I'm gonna show you how to easily swap out a roller. If your roller is loud, noisy, or wobbly, or ready to break or rusted. This is a quick way to swap it out on your own. You can get a seven 16th bit. Sometimes they take three eights. It depends, but you just want to take your hinge off here. Now you have the hinge off. Here's your roller. Now this one isn't bad, but it's an example here. You slide your new roller in, slide it in the track, and you're gonna want to go right back in the same holes that you took the screws out of and reattach. Now you can do that. You can do that for the three hinges here, and you can do it for the top hinge. You never ever want to take this hinge off when there's tension on the door. The cable attaches to your bottom bracket here. If you take your bottom bracket off while there's tension on your door, it will fly up. You'll get hurt, you'll cut something. It'll be very, very bad. If you do want to do that, you have to take your tension off of your springs up here at the top, and then you can do that.
