Not how it works,power comes on differently with both turbos.I didnt catch what cams,gearsets,sensors yada yada yada they're using.Could be based on gear selection,gear speed, or wheel speed etc boost control and fuel management needs will be met differently,even if they use similar hard/software based on what we know.
Badass! Still like to see some guys do it with the 3S-GTE (5S stroker or otherwise). My buddies 5S-GTE is making in excess of 900 AWHP in his ST185 AllTrac but there was a catastrophic failure before he got to lay down any times.

But just because its superior doesn´t mean you have to swap it in everything. If you have a Celica GT-4 or MR2 turbo, you can happily keep the engine, make some changes and have a fast car...
@Sergio Aguirre There are many markets with gt-4s so whats the problem? Its not cheap to do a k swap plus turbo swap. If you have an mr2 turbo you can get good results with not a lot of money. If you dont own a 700whp k20 i suggest you stay quiet now

The k series has come into it's own recently. Stock blocks can hold 500-600hp with a turbo kit and correct tune. Super common and parts are cheap too. In stock form, they aren't very fast, but they have the potential to be for not a lot of money. The cars you raced were basically stock, so it makes sense that a turboed golf beat it. Besides, stock type r's are meant to be great handling cars, not drag racing cars.
I'm sure they can drive, but they do have drag tires and transmission on them. Besides this guy hasn't said what his MR2 is like other than not having an engine swap or what track experience he's had. Besides, why does anybody care?
@@Jack-lb8kl I believe they are using ET Streets & not a full drag slick & on an un-prepped surface so there is still another at least 0.5 of a second to take off these times.

K20a/k24a are the best 4 cylinders Honda has ever made and probably the best 4 cylinder motor in the world to be honest.

With the BEAMS head the 3S is a powerhouse with a turbo
@Sergio Aguirre No, depends on what you compare it to, but it flows enough to comfortably build a 600hp engine without too much effort.
