Lee in Tekken 8 is nothing short of excellent! Massive thank you to SuperAkouma for making this guide, and we encourage you to check him out on Twitter (currently X) and RUclips. If you plan to main Lee there's no doubt that he will discover plenty of tech, combos, and strategies for you to borrow.
@niko-ef8hq No I dont mean that. He was just better and more fun in previous games. T7 he was bottom-mid teir. Now after a week with T8 I feel he's still alot of work but way more reward for it
@@eraldylli he was really good like 2 or 3 years ago. I think the whole hate he received had a huge impact on his performance overall. At the end of T7, Jodd came very strong why SA looked desperate . I hope to see these two fight in a tournament to settle who is the best
@@MrArso99 Let's be fair, the hate was not only because of the exclusive use of Akuma. The whole vibe of the guy is arrogant, so it's no wonder people like to see him lose.
@@eraldyllieasy to say when you aren’t him though. This guy is an insanely good player. He may be arrogant, but it’s nothing over the top. People just salty tbh.

For people having trouble hitting the last part of the wall combo at 18:25, you need to slightly delay HMS u4, if the opponent doesn't slide down slightly before the HMS u4 the UB3 won't be guaranteed.
Im kinda new to Tekken, last Tekken I played was Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag, but Im still tryna figure out what character to main, so far Ive kept tabs on Lee(looks fun asf)Hwoarang (personal fav since a kid), Law (heard he Is easy to learn) & Jun(another personal fav but also hear shes really good). so for a newbie like me, what would be a smart route? cause I see mixed opinions on Lee, so far he seems really fun, but I don’t want It to be like a really tough character to learn and win with and I just frustrate myself lmao
Anyone have suggestions what to follow a sidestep with these days? I got a lot of use out of the 3+4 sidestep moves in T7 and they don't exist anymore, feel lost without them
After Checking almost every Character i think Lee is for Mee. Love his Buttons they seem Perfect 🌹B2F Cancle is almost impossible for me as a Gamepad Player, is there another Way? b1,b1,b1,b1 into ff3 carrys alot of space to the Wall though?
Fighting gm is a pad player. You may be inputting b2 too quickly. I noticed a lot of lees moves need a slight delay, alow time for the neutral after the mist step (b 2) - n.. b2. The more you delay the b2 after mist step the faster cleaner it comes out. Gl
Are the just frames as important as something like electric? That would definitely make me drop the character. I need this information before I put time in and lose my mind because my options aren’t very good unless just frame.
Lee is pretty much just as if not more difficult than mishimas. His just frames like acid rain (1,3,3,3) or mist trap are way more difficult than electric, the other just frames are pretty easy
You'll need the just frames (other than _maybe_ Mist Trap, that one is extremely difficult to do consistently) to actually threaten people as much as possible. Things like Acid Rain make your 10 frame so strong that people are afraid to do stuff into even minus frames (also cause of down 3).
I’m having so much trouble having back 3,3 scoop up after counterhit down 3. I keep having standing 3 input instead. Is there a cancel or something that I’m missing?
Forward neutral back neutral then 4 I think (try the other kick buttons if I’m wrong) In easy words, tapping forward goes into Lee’s forward sway, during that press back and it goes into a back sway. This kick comes out of back sway
I'm having crazy trouble with his machine gun cardinal kick combo, either b3,3 whiffs on the second hit or f4,1 just barely whiffs and I don’t get a screw. Any tips?
@@DomoSensei no, CH 3,3,3 has a combo where after the perfect input you have to dash up and do b3,3 and mist step into 4,1, but I'm just having a lot of trouble landing it
@@GalvaGunnit is about as difficult as tekken 7’s ChD2 combo. The follow up after back 33 is tough, I found that you just have to dash in real quick after 444 and I prefer doing b11 into mist step cancel after b33 pick up, seemed more consistent to me
@@zaimrana2746 I'll definitely keep that tip about b1,1 mist step in mind. I'm just having a lot of trouble dashing up after 4,4,4 in time to get b3,3 to combo instead of otg hit. Very hard to tell when the move is over.
It's one of the hardest things to do. After b2, you use f to enter mist step. Here you need to b to enter neutral and then you have a natural ws. You can then 2,3. So the combo is b2,f,b,23

Impatiently waiting for more Lee content from your channel
Amazing breakdown! Can't wait to watch you in tournament! Thanks for picking a MARVELOUS character!
4,3,4 works as a tailspin at the wall as well, I have a feeling it’s the most damaging but Idk for sure
Good insight, thank you!
SuperAkouma your english is marvelous to be honest
I love superakuma, wish him the best in this new era!
For the hopkick from crouch, you can do u,u/f4. The first u will crouch cancel, but it makes it a 16 frame launch
Return stick to neutral to get hopkick. Instantly input uf4 to get backflip from crouch

To do the 15f hop knee from crouch you need to crouch cancel first unless youre in block stun. Then you can mash it out.
btw 3+4 is only required to slide after mist step, if u use slide in crouch u only need to press 3

As a pad player myself, the loop is easily done if practiced. It’s basically a rythm you’ve got to get down
I'm pretty good in fighting games but not that much in Tekken, do you think I can pick him up as my first main?
Yea, I feel like he’s an easy character to get into and chain combos with and he has a lot of set ups for both basic and advanced combos, imo.
Yes
Definitely!
Im from geese main, lets go to Marvelous character in tk 8
Been a lee main since T2. 3 was like being a sick on Christmas. Why does Lee keep saying "marvelous", is he a buff character now?
His just frame inputs have a blue spark and Lee says something.
The pose he does with marvelous is ki charge.
Anyone have tips for doing the b2f on a hitbox/snackbox. I just can't seem to get it consistently
How do you do the ws2,3 in the first combo??? Is it instant whilestanding cancel or is there something else going into the while standing?
You do Mist Step, then input back, then 2,3. The Mist Step back sway puts Lee in a crouching state and lets you do WS moves during that window.
ive been switching positions when against the wall like jumping over the opponent no idea how to do it anyone help ?
Best player in France yes of course...with Akuma.😊
