- The 2023-24 season is officially over for the New Jersey Devils. They lost to the New York Islanders 4-1 on Fan Appreciation Night. It was another disappointing game for the Devils, but that's been their brand all season long. It's time to shift the focus over to the offseason and the potential moves that Tom Fitzgerald could make.

Love u trey. Some games made me wanna scream this season whether from anger or happiness and you were always there to scream with me.
What a waste of a season. I've been a Devils fan for decades. The last ten years have been excruciating but this past season was by far the most disappointing season this team has ever had. Every guy in that locker room, and ones that aren't on the roster anymore, should be ashamed of themselves. Absolutely dreadful
this is an AHL roster thanks to GM Fitzgerald
Dawson Mercer should not be included in any trade this offseason. He put up 56 points just last year. 1 less point than Lafreniere did this year and everyone is wetting their draws in NYR town. Dawson just had a down year but this kid is a player. He will be better next season.
Without Panarin mind you.
I dont mind this loss just wish they had made it a contest.I'm glad the Islanders made in to the playoff. I dont hate them. I will be cheering for any team that can beat the Rangers.
Hopefully they go out in the first round.

I’m glad they lost. Winning would’ve done nothing for us, and losing practically cements us into a top 10 pick. We could possibly get a top eight depending on Calgary and Seattle now.
Jettison Palat and Siegs contract and go after UFA's Chandler Stephenson, and Brady Skjei or Derek Forbort to go along with a top tier goalie. If Fitz extends Smith, I give up.
I think Hakkanpaa, Zadorov, Sissons, and Sherwood are better potential options.

please for the love of god we have to fire General manager fitzgerald. This roster is full of AHL players. Why should he get to keep his job? look around the league. every other team has great depth and for some reason we have an abysmal roster.
