      They limited the Rangers to 24 shots. Their goalie lets in 4. Andersson just needed to be average for them to win. You can take the goalie out of Toronto, but you can’t take the Toronto out of the goalie.
      4 goals on 24 shots in an elimination game in the playoffs isn’t acceptable as a goalie on a contending team. Time for Canes to finally give their team a legit goalie. Not win if anything with sub 900 Andersson

      @@chevelle1 you fan types honestly dont know how shot percentage save percentage or percentage in general works. a win is a win whether the tender is 900 or 750. games are going to generally be around those averages- we know that cause the stats are telling yu that. but its not like a requirement nor does it tell you much about the individual performance. lets say your team basically plays the whole game down stream- constantly on the other guy- so the one that beats the cold ice goalie counts for way more of the percentage than the other guy drowning in shots but saving all but 2. the guy down the ice whose made 3 saves and one breakaway got him is the winner. because thats how stats work. they dont tell you- your stats should look like this- it tells you these are the most common outcomes.

    Canes have nothing to be ashamed of, they played hard against the best team in the NHL and took them to 6 games, didn't roll over, have a moral collapse or start taking stupid penalties, the hat trick goals weren't soft, flukes or garbage goals, they were legit goal-scorer's goals, Andersen can't be blamed, they would have gotten past most goalies. All in all the Canes had a great series and their fans should be proud of them. I bet on the Canes to go to the Finals, also bet on the Oilers in the West but I honestly wouldn't be sad if they lose to Vancouver, a Rangers vs Canucks Finals, 1994 rematch, would be pretty cool.

    • @angeloneos2778
      @angeloneos2778 14 дней назад +1

      As a rangers fan. Great comment. As I stated in a previous comment the rangers score on highly skilled plays that "most" goalies will give up. They essentially make goalies look bad by getting them out of position or a cross ice pass that the goalie has no chance on. And being very opportunistic, they skew the numbers by scoring with fewer shots than many teams in the league.

    • @ll7868
      @ll7868 14 дней назад

      @@angeloneos2778 I should be upset, I lost money on this series and could lose more if the Oilers get eliminated. Lotta people saying the refs determined the outcome, that's a cheap excuse, the better team won, simple as that. I honestly hate when people blame the refs, it's as if they think everything is scripted, if they truly think that they should quit watching the NHL, legit sports aren't for them, they should stick to watching WWE where the refs are paid to be biased.

      Canes never led in the series and were underdogs going in, there was no choke, no soft goals, no penalty parade or failure to stick to a gameplan, they played a good game, played their system and lost against a better team. A choke is when a team looks like they're about to win a series and breakdown only to lose it, get swept or are the heavy favourites and no-show. This series was tight and entertaining, I had the Canes as my Eastern pick but I knew the Rangers were going to be tough to beat, going 6 against the league's top team in Round 2 should make their hometown fans proud.

      Alot of playoffs comes down to matchups. Canes aren't the best match up for us with their forecheck and able to maintain o zone pressure. That's been our weakness forever but got it done. Florida is a wagon and we just match up better with Boston. But the Bs making it a series with some pretty terrible offensive play gives me confidence. Gotta get the cycle going and play below the dots. Once they get buzzing down low were so tough to stop with those crisp seam passes.

      Played very poorly in the 3rd period. This game was winnable by them especially when it seemed like New Yorks defense was letting their Goalie down at times. I didn't think the Goaltending was bad on either side but more so that the defenses and offenses at times let teams down. When offenses give up pucks and put more pressure on the defense to fall back creating offensive breakaways for teams. I fell asleep last night before these games finished. I caught the highlights and from the start of the highlights it looked like Hurricanes were going to Win but they just looked so bad in the Third and credit to Rangers for making them look bad. Who knows, maybe they ran out of stamina and didn't pace themselves well. Didn't that happen to the Rangers in the previous game?
