- Are we at a precipice for nuclear energy development? This week, Autonomous Technology and Robotics Director of Research Sam Korus and Associate Portfolio Manager Nick Grous are joined by Autonomous Tech & Robotics Research Associate Daniel Maguire to discuss energy development and the regulations that are plaguing it, as well as recent shifts in the EV industry.
If you know ARK, then you probably know about our long-term research projections, like estimating where we will be 5-10 years from now! But just because we are long-term investors, doesn’t mean we don’t have strong views and opinions on breaking news. In fact, we discuss and debate this every day. So now we’re sharing some of these internal discussions with you in our new video series, “The Brainstorm”, a co-production from ARK and Public.com. Tune in every week as we react to the latest in innovation. Here and there we’ll be joined by special guests, but ultimately this is our chance to join the conversation and share ARK’s quick takes on what’s going on in tech today.
Key Points From This Episode:

00:00:39 Why Regulation Can Kill Nuclear Innovation
00:06:44 The Case For Nuclear Energy

I love these impromptu convos. Please keep them going. Thanks guys!!
It's refreshing to see young people understanding the benefits of nuclear energy.
I use full self driving every day. I haven’t had any issues with it going out of control. It’s more human like with the new update 12.3 sometimes I just have to apply pressure on the pedal to make it go a little bit faster that’s it.
With battery costs and Tech, what do ARK think about Solid State. Will that be the game changer for wider adoption? I don't think I have seen ARK discuss this?
1) In the last 20 years electricity consumption remained stable in the US.
Thorium SMR's for the win!
Massive time blowouts equals massive increase in interest costs, which increases massively capital costs overall for projects, which then equals much higher LCOE.
Regulations and self interest of energy companies I think is stifling the uptake of solar in the US. So many middlemen😢.
Can we get brainstorm on nuclear fusion specifically
Can we have a debate about Wright’s Law?
I always see Ark provide video showing how good they know about the technology and economy. Why Arkk ends up dropping from $150 to $50 ????? It is very disappointing. I don't believe they are good at what they are doing at all, do you?
