Whats so great about spam musubi is that its a meal to go. we either make a bunch or buy a bunch of spam musubis and bring them straight to the beach to eat on the sand. its easy to eat since its nicely wrapped in saran wrap so sand doesnt get all over. everyone who grew up in hawaii grew up eating these and will eat these til we die haha

I have a friend who is from Hawaii and she taught me how to make spam musubi. But she made a marinade that had sugar, oyster sauce, soy sauce and let the meat sit for like 30 minutes and then fried the spam and the rest of the steps followed as yours except the layers were rice spam and rice again before wrapping. Have you ever had fried spam musubi using panko crumbs?

There’s many ways to make the spam. My mom makes it just like that but my dad puts in soy sauce and Brown sugar. It’s still good though! I love spam.
