- Condylomas are small growths or warts on the genitals, on the anus, or occasionally in the mouth or throat. 95% of the condylomas result from an infection by the Human Papilloma Virus, more commonly named HPV. Typically, the virus (HPV) is transmitted or contracted through direct or indirect genital to genital contact with a partner infected by HPV, and this with or without penetration. It can sometimes spread through a contact with genital secretions or infected sexual toys.
Dr. Marc Steben explains here the principal causes, symptoms and treatments of condylomas or HPV infection.
