For around RM300, I can say that Keychron K8 is the competitor of this product. Although they are comparable to a certain degree, I think the K8 biggest difference is the switch and the keyboard's aesthetic. I think for anybody looking to have 'office' aesthetic go for the K8 but for the standard-looking keyboard, the 5087S is your go-to.
Great vid! My friend is looking for a budget tkl and I think I might recommend either this board or the keychron, any opinion on which has a better price to performance and a better tkl board?
keychron has the best plastic keyboard right now , i dont see any competitor out there in terms of quality control , also it can support VIA which is the most important feature.
I've seen so many people complain about certain keyboards not having VIA support, but I don't get why people want VIA. What makes a keyboard worth buying because of the VIA support?
My Akko 5087B has wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4 ghz, and my version has black and blue keycaps as standard with the extra keys being Yellow which makes a great contrast. I find the black Jelly switches perfect for my needs, a bit like reds but more positive. The included clear plastic keyboard cover is such a simple edition I don't know why other brands don't include one, it must add very few penny's to the cost but makes such a difference in keeping dust at bay. I don't care about RGB lighting as long as it has a stable colour for using it in the dark which it does, but I have to be honest and say I have seen better RGB implementations even in far cheaper keyboards. All in all I am very pleased with my new keyboard and I envisage it lasting me a very long time❤❤❤❤😎😎
@@3all714 ive had it for about 6 months and so far so good, really good and sounds great. Durability is really good and honestly it looks almost new after typing virtually 24/7. Will def be getting more akko keyboards when I need a new keyboard
Hello! Can you help me pls? I cant decide which one is better, keychron c1 pro or akko 5087B plus (i used membrane keyboards only, the price difference isn't big) ive heard a lot about akko switches, but achron is about quality(at least it's said in many videos), so what would you recommend? I really cant understand because its going to be my first mechanical keyboard
Hey sure! I can help out a little bit. The C1 Pro is QMK/VIA compatible, so if you like to customize the keys and layers it is easier to do. Overall I would say if you just want to plug and play and have a good quality keyboard just get the Keychron. The 5087B Plus looks better to some people, the colour scheme and keycaps are different so keep that in mind, both are very similar in feel but the aesthetics are different. So just get what you like, do you want a more normal looking keyboard or something that stands out more like Akko.
I am confused by 2 win buttons, will it be possible to change one of them to a menu, is there such an additional keycap included? It's just very difficult to find such a set, with two win buttons...
hey everyone, i cant decide if i should get either this or the Keychron C1 Pro... what do you guys think? im planning on modding and using the banana split switches
@@itssamueltan i can only see 2 screws and i still couldnt pry it off from the keyboard, do you have a discord so i can send you a picture? so i can tape mod mine easily?

Design wise, it depends on the user. Some like RGB some like plain keycaps but pricing wise it's almost the same anyways
@@itssamueltan Yep, having K8 Pro myself, the aesthetic really feels formal and 'office' unless you change the keycaps
Amazing keyboard

Tbh, I kinda agree as well, other companies have a long way to catch up with hardware and software

Awesome! May it last for years for you
i can not find the akko 5087b for the LIfe of me
Thank you opening it up. Damn it looks hard to open. Hope i won't break any clip when i mod it. I want to do the tape mod
Be careful and goodluck!
thinking of getting this but the amazon reviews saying it easily breaks. i mean some keys like E or O. This is making me sceptical
The Hotswap sockets tend to break if pressed too hard but you can always claim the warranty
well it looks no different to razer so no surprise
I'd recommend the 5075b plus
Would buy it but the clip opening molarchy is a killer for me... K8 Pro here I come... maybe... still looking for a good alternative.
Yea understandable, I hate clips
Just got one for 59$ with the cs purple switches cant wait!
Nice! Should be awesome
give us a short review man

Would you be able to use a custom coiled cable with this? or do you think the port is too deep for it to look clean.
Hmm I think you can but the tip has to be super slim to be able to fit
I thin you could use a custom coiled cable with it.
-Tycoon
@@itssamueltan I disagree🫤, all my type C cables fit easily and firmly, and none of them are slim types just standard type C cables❤❤❤❤
You said that the akko jelly pinks are similar to the Cs Silvers, making a comparison between them, which would you prefer for typing?
Typing I like the jelly pink, it feel heavier to me. But if you want a faster/lighter switch feel the akko silver feels faster
@@itssamueltan thanks!
hi! this does not have bluetooth capability? can you recommend keyboard that has?
Hey, yea this doesn't have BT. Do you need a wireless TKL? I would say the 5087B or XinMeng M87
Could you do the silicon mold mod in this one? And should you do it to achieve a poppier sound?
Yes the bottom case is suitable for that, but do be careful to protect the type C port inside
@@itssamueltan thank you for the answer!
is the white plate noticeable? im going to get either this keyboard or the 5075s, and the 5075s has a transparent one so it isnt as noticeable

Akko CS Jelly Pink

1.5m
