@@stevencosta He did. I think this is just a compilation of all of the videos put into one, just for ease of access. A "mega-compilation", if you will.
I remember that episode of Pimp My Ride and have wondered for many years what became of this van. So cool that YOU are the one to bring it back to life!!!
I first discovered Tavarish with this build. Since then I have watched all his videos. RUclips must have recommended him because a lot of people started watching at that point.
Why? So that in 20 years their legacy is ruined just like this pathetic van? The next person comes along and jokes that this was Tavarish, can we rebuild it? There is a reason pimp my ride died.
what a great project , used to love pimp my ride the og car show. The stark contrast between old car shows and new like this is night and day , Probably technology i know but guess we are lucky to be here watching it considering . well in You tube. Brakes work fine haha
Seen a few people break their windshield by leaving the wiper arm up. It has enough spring tension to crack the windshield if the wiper arm releases without the blade. That arm seems to have no tension 😂.
Over 25 years of autobody work, I have found some crazy stuff in customers cars. All techs have found guns dope and sex toys, but have you ever opened the trunk of a 70’s continental and found it FULL unclean used sex toys? Imagine Texas summer sun beating down on that trunk for who knows how long, cooking that awful mess. The interior was fuzzy zebra fur and the car was metallic pink too. Told the boss I just couldn’t do it because of the smell. He cursed at me, stormed over and yanked open the trunk, that smell hit him and he hurled. He told that pimp wannabe to get lost too. That isn’t even the worst thing I’ve found in a customer car either.
Beautiful restoration! The denim upholstery alone made this worth it. After you restore all the Pimp my Ride cars that didn't burn down, you can make all the orange county choppers functional if that is possible.
They were nutorious for having the belt slide off anytime it was raining. I had one and ended up installing a Gates Grooved belt. Where it was grooved on both sides.
Thanks for putting this all together in one video Tavarish. It was great to rewatch the entire thing as this one one of the most fun videos I think you guys have done. Such a silly van but such a satisfying restoration of it!
@@MajorOutage what’s up, brother? I’m glad you agree on this also. I think pretty much anyone outside of the New England thinks that Massachusetts is just another name for South Boston and Rhode Island is made up cartoon state named Quahog
I was a little young to have the TV when pimp my ride was on but I saw enough of it to fall in love with cars and to see this today just makes me happy I wish I could find a gem like this
To be real, 2004 tech is actually much more durable than 2020 tech. But the older appliances actually hold further, my grandma has a 1980a fridge and still works, sure it needed a bit of maintenance, but at least you can maintain it, i mean phones nowadays if they die, it's dead and buy a new one
Normal people don’t have money to restore this so it’s nice content for him to dump money and time into. This car will definitely a childhood car hope they don’t destroy it
Freddie, buddy, YOU are my favorite car tuber. I love your approach and your attitude is very refreshing. While you play with stuff i could only dream about, you still figured out a way to be relatable. Looking forward to seeing the p-1 ripping. Keep being you, and stay true to yourself. You are the reason people watch. Take care brother(can't wait to pick up my r8😅🤘)
My mans reached waaay back into the archives for this repost. A whole series of these pimp my ride restorations, but actually functional not like how the show did, would be dope. Its crazy that cars from this show would need to be considered restorations nowadays. yeah they were already old cars, fixed up then gutted, but still 20 years went by way too fast.
see how many pimp my ride vehicle you can acually find and fix them hahaha boom new build series haha but no that be cool to see more builds like this in the future also like the collabs with Mat
most abs codes have a 50-75 mile check and if the fault doesnt return in that time frame it'll automatically clear the light probably a werid sensor code from the mismatched wheels previously
To hear that number from Wizard is so surprising, not only to hear such a great deal on all that work, but here in Northeast Michigan, you couldnt get away with getting all that done without paying at least somewhere upwards of 4G's
Watching jack fly forward when freddy slammed on the brakes i lost it. Hope you are alright jack. I remember that van in that episode was a junior in high school and that was my favorite show.
Remember the Pimp My Ride episode, even the name of the girl (Layla). It is awesome to still see this van in one piece and i hope one day to see it in person.
Pretty sure in 2029 Tavarish will find this van again in a barn, sitting for 5 years, fix it AGAIN, and regift it to Tyler. I love this stupid crappy van... It's the best joke gift you can ever give anyone you love to annoy.
Can I just be the first to say fantastic there's a new Tavarish video. And also, thank goodness you're spending time on this delight rather than on that crappy P1!
This was the first series I watched by Tavarish
Same here, this is how I discovered Tavarish and I don’t really like car stuff :D
Same!!
me too
Is this a recycled video. I thought he did this already??
@@stevencosta He did. I think this is just a compilation of all of the videos put into one, just for ease of access. A "mega-compilation", if you will.
You’ve got to start a series of buying back all of the pimp my ride cars, and bringing them back to life
Re-Pimp my former ride ?
Why?
That’s what I meant re-pimp what to do and what not to do and what is done correctly
He has to first rebuild every unfinished project he has going on right now.
Tavarish in some podcast mentioned that owners of other Pimp My Ride cars send him sell offers with ridiculous price.
So smart to put this on 2varish as a "re-run" episode. One of my favorites. I sure wish more of these Pimp my Ride vehicles could be restored!
You can now see this in the 3rd story of the parking garage at the Peterson Museum. I just saw this van collecting dust 1 week ago.
:(
He bought it again from someone, fixed it back up and donated it to the museum

ALL his videos is crazy lol 😂
Still one of my favorite video series to be honest, something timeless about this series, your and Jared’s chemistry works magic 😂❤
Look how small freddy looked when this was recorded!!
I love Jared's screentime throughout this. He loves the camera 📸
Where is he these days? Anyone know?
Tavarish & Matt Armstrong should start a 'pimp my ride' show
Why? So that in 20 years their legacy is ruined just like this pathetic van? The next person comes along and jokes that this was Tavarish, can we rebuild it? There is a reason pimp my ride died.
Simp my Ride.
Be safe
not a pimp my ride show, just more collabration builds, need to see "SUE" finished
I'm a bit sleep deprived and was confused at first cause it felt like I'd seen this before.
we all have.. a few years ago
This is like the 3rd or 4th time this has been re-uploaded. Good video worth at least 1 watch,,maybe 2.
I'm glad it wasn't just me getting deja-vu here and it was the original video.
Honestly thought he bought it back again to do a new rebuild

This is the very first video i saw from Tavarish when he originally posted it. So happy it was recommended to me
I was at the Petersen Automotive Museum and this hunk of Americana was parked in the parking garage on the top floor. It was super dirty too lol
Why did they take it when they didn't want to take care of it.😢
@@tariqueejazkhan pretty sure Freddy left it there 😂
yes i saw it there too very dirty
I never get tired of seeing this van... My '99 Plymouth Grand Voyager still holds a special place in my heart..
Probably a lot of kid’s conceived in those😝👍🏻👍🏻
We'd love it if you rebuilt or built a lowrider sometime. So cool. Love the videos and keep up the fantastic work❤

I loved when you made this episode. I think I started watching you around this time, and you absolutely killed it bro.
I really enjoyed this one, simply because this project was realistic for all home enthusiasts in terms of cost.
I really like these creative videos. At the same time I feel it resurrected a generation of media that my age missed out on
A bit of nostalgia. Freddy changed a lot since. I love him still tho.
I hope you are not pushin yourself too far and still enjoy what you do mate.
Omg jack flying 😂😂

Dighton is not Boston bro…

It’s also rocking a Rhodie plate. I used to see this thing in Warwick

Hey 2varish I would make the jewelry tubes …dispensers for m&ms or candy to eat while watching movies in the back👍🏻
I thought of that too👍🏼
I did wonder how many years you would have this van before you touched it finally.. Great to see an old legend get a new life
This is old footage that van is long gone
Love the retrospective with Ed, Hoovie and Wizard!
There are sooooo many “RUclips 2016” vibes in this video, it’s frickin GREAT!! 😂💪

I want this van! Sooo bad and I’m not going to lie!
You should sign up for Lyft and just pick people up 😂😂😂
Headlights need a uv coating that wore off and let them cloud, like acylic. It'll last 3 or 4 years.
You should buy every pimp my ride car ever done and fix them as a series!
Honestly I’m so glad to see one of those cars still out there 💚
Great amount of crazy.. 🙂 Remember the episode going on TV in Norway. Memory lane for sure..
Nice peace of history- I remember this van- it's super cool
Nice to actually see someone else buff out headlights lol instead of just sanding and clear coating them.
