"French" isn't a countable noun. You have to say "As a Frenchman".
i couldnt explain why but whenever i hear english speakers talk french, its like so relaxing and satisfying. i love this!
I took French for over 10 years and can only dream to sound as well as you do. Also, I love how expressive you are. It's like you're performing the words.

Je suis français, je recherchais à pouvoir entendre de la poésie française récitée et c’est comme cela que j’ai découvert votre chaine ainsi que le concept d’ASMR que je ne connaissais pas, je dois reconnaître que le résultat est absolument enthousiasmant tellement votre voix toute en douceur et en profondeur met en valeur les poésies que vous nous offrez à entendre, c’est une véritable réussite et un réel délice pour nos oreilles d’entendre nos plus belles poésies récitées par une voix si melliflue ( qui a la douceur du miel 🍯). Mon poète français préféré est Paul Verlaine (1844-1896) qui est un poète beaucoup plus contemporain que les poètes dont vous nous avez fait le plaisir de nous faire entendre les poésies et dont les mots plus actuels seraient bien plus facilement compréhensibles de nos contemporains, c’est la raison pour laquelle je souhaite vous exprimer mon ardent souhait de vous entendre continuer vos récitations de poèmes en français en espérant que la poésie de Verlaine touchera votre âme poétesse autant qu’elle touche la mienne. Voici son poème le plus célèbre et dont la première strophe fut utilisée par Radio Londres en juin 1944 comme phrase codée afin d’annoncer le débarquement des forces alliées (dont des canadiens ! 😉) sur les plages de Normandie.
Les sanglots longs
Des violons
De l’automne
Blessent mon cœur
D’une langueur
Monotone.
Tout suffocant
Et blême, quand,
Sonne l’heure,
Je me souviens
Des jours anciens
Et je pleure
Et je m’en vais
Au vent mauvais
Qui m’emporte

Very well done. The poems you have chosen were indeed challenging. They are transcriptions of old French and try to preserve the rhymes, rhythms, syntax and some time orthography of the original text. But your reading is flawless and it demonstrates that you have solved their awkwardness anyway.
By the way, La Complainte de Rutebeuf was written by ... Rutebeuf (1245-1285). Joan Baez gave a great interpretation of the Complainte in the 70's (music by Leo Ferré).
Some of these words... had me tripping!
Many other centuries indeed, and in as many other languages as you are willing! Foreign language whispering is my most tingly ASMR trigger!

French medieval poems really have something both beautiful and sad to them, as most of them talk about death and one sided love.
0:20 Something about the way she says "Thank you Marie de France for this poem" just cracks me up.
I would definitely listen to hours of Masha speaking French, it would definitely help me learn how to pronounce certain words too.

Always quality videos on this channel . As a French and poetry enjoyer , I had no idea poetry was developed during the Middle Ages . In school we learned only poetry from Baudelaire , Rimbaud, Verlaine etc … your accent is very pretty , it’s rare to speak French this easily , especially when it comes to French poetry , which is hard to understand even for a French lol. ^^

Pardon mais on est tous d'accord pour dire que son accent est presque parfait ?
Wow! Excellent! J'ai surtout aimé les réactions à "Hiver vous n'êtes qu'un vilain" 😆 et les faces de "c'était beau... mais pas sûr d'avoir compris" à la fin de certains poèmes (réaction que je partageais tant à l'écoute qu'à la lecture 😄).
Par curiosité, est-ce que c'était lu "à froid"? Je ne sais pas si c'est comme ça dans toutes les langues, mais j'ai toujours trouvé beaucoup de poèmes français comme étant surtout des exercices de diction "pour faire beau", haha. Ils jouent souvent sur les liaisons entre les mots (qu'on ignore si souvent au parlé) et les syllables muettes, qu'on doit parfois expliciter, parfois sauter et parfois même modifier ("avecque" 😄) pour garder le rythme ou donner un style. Personnellement, ça me prend toujours plusieurs lectures avant de trouver le rythme et les intonations. Grâce à toi j'ai dû relire la Complainte de Rutebeuf 8 fois avant d'avoir l'impression de mettre assez de "T" sans (trop) me tromper, et encore... 😅

@@themashakata I understand, even my mother who came in France since 2001 who got a foreign accent struggles in the pronunciation. I think you have a very good pronunciation and I was shocked at some words you pronounce as well as a native French 😂. But what is funny is your intonation: The intonation in poetry is very precise, even for French it is difficult and so if the intonation is incorrect you will emphasize words that should not be emphasized like when you say « cul » it seems « ass » in french so you don’t have to emphasize it🤣 and you have do say it more casually , otherwise poetry becomes funny. You definitely chose the most difficult exercise to show your abilities in French , it shows that you have a very good level in French 😉 so you do things more challenging 💪.
