I’m so glad RUclips suggested your video !!! I felt quite intimidated by sweaters for awhile. You explain so well with visuals (I admit it, I have binge watched your sweater tips) that I have now the confidence to just in, understanding what I’m doing. Thank you so much 🧶🙏🏼🧶
hi! it is really helpful! thank you so much ❤ I was searching for a video on increases to make a bell sleeve, but this will definitely be helpful in my future projects!
I'm such a huge visual learner and I often find it hard to work with a text only pattern until I fully have a visual understanding of how things work in my minds eye. So these videos are so so amazing to me. Can you do a separate video on the construction of the different types of sleeves? Particularly balloon sleeve and a flared sleeve? I would greatly appreciate it!
Hi Jennifer, thanks for the comment, and apologies for the delay in replying! I don't have as much experience with different types of sleeves, the advice I can give you here of what I've seen (rather than knit myself) is that sometimes making no decreases can end up with a flared appearance, and balloon sleeves can often be created by a straight sleeve with decreases all at once just before the cuff.❤️
You are absolutely wonderful. I learn so much better with visuals and this was so helpful with trying to decide if I wanted to make the sleeve part longer before making the cap! (I didn't know what the heck a cap was because this is my first sweater!)
I’m working on my own styling if sleeves right now. I’m kinda going off Elizabeth Zimmermann’s percentage system. Started the sleeves to get gauge. If you’re up to sharing- I’m toying with idea of adding the button band BEFORE steeking. The last sweater I steeked I promised to try it. Have you ever done that?
Hi Carrie- I’ve only steeked one project before, and it was pretty small, so I don’t feel super qualified to address this, one piece of advice (which you may have already considered) is to add extra stitches if you are knitting the button band before steeking, to allow for the bands to overlap afterwards……
I have been looking for this everywhere and finally find your video 😍 thank you so much😊
Perfect timing! I just started knitting and need to create the sleeves soon :)
Glad to be of service, hope it helps! ❤️
Thank you, this helps to understand the instructions for a sweater. Very, very helpful

So glad you do these specific videos. I found your videos around Christmas time. Subscribed immediately. Hope questions are cool?
Questions are always cool, Trudy, I just may not always have an answer, but I’ll do my best!❤️❤️❤️

Thank you very helpful for me to continue working the Stockbridge dk sweater. Suses 💜💜💜
thank you for your clear explanations. do you have a video of colorwork like fair isle?
I’m super nervous about the sleeves and will probably need to frog tbh. Where should I put the safety line?
