I think bringing Darth Vader back to life would be the absolute worst idea ever. Vader is one of my favorite Star Wars characters but his purpose in the Star Wars franchise beyond Episode VI is done. In the Originals he was the evil Dark Lord who was redeemed by his son. And in the Prequels (whether you love or hate them) showed his downfall to the Dark Side. I feel bringing him back to life would completely negate his redemption and sacrifice at the end of Return of the Jedi.
I think you're overspeculating this. It's only Darth Vader's helmet. Kylo Ren must have heard stories about Vader and decided to "carry out his will." Just because we saw his helmet doesn't mean we're going to see him in the flesh.
***** I only mean there are rumors speculating around the Internet that Vader himself is going to be brought to life in the movie. I'm hoping the actual film makers are smart enough to not go into that kind of direction at all.
Agreed. His story is done. Leave it be. I do like Jeremy's idea that Kylo and other possible evil force wielders possibly worship Vader as a sort of evil Christ like figure though.
The trailer is great because it really just expanded on what we already saw. it's like well pulling back a Star Wars curtain. They pulled it back a little with the first trailer just glimpses, then showed a little more got our nostalgia mojo working with "Chewie we're home", 15 seconds of behind the scenes doesn't tell you much about the story but that the franchise is in good hands, this one is just a little more than the teaser with some character development and action sequence that you can't really tell if it's the beginning middle and end.
I believe when he said "I will finish what you have started" he was talking about the Death Star which is why its on the poster because he is making a new one and Darth Vader is dead (unfortunately) because at the end of Episode 6 they show Anakin's ghost appear next to Yoda's ghost and Obi Wan's ghost during the victory party with the ewoks
If JJ can give me goosebumps and make me cry like an idiot making me remember my seven old self watching the original Star Trek series with my mom, whilst watching the new Star Trek movies..... Star Wars the Force Awkwakens WILL be good. (But that's just my opinion though :3c)
If John Boyega's character who's seemingly castaway from the rest of the antagonists slowly becomes a good guy, a heroic figure to then become the main protagonist rebelling against his former allies (The Empire?), then that'd be an amazing plot. I hope it comes close to that since we do see him fight against Rylo Ken. Can't really tell if that's what's really happening but it still looks amazing.
@@maju3606 Damn, can't believe it's been 7 years. I'll just say that modern Star Wars kind of sucks now and lacks the depth I look for in storytelling. The original 3 movies are the best.
I love this. Yesterday was probably the most emotional day for Canadians because our baseball team's in the leagues, we've got a new Prime Minister in office, and then we got a new Star Wars trailer... Yesterday was THE day though to just be a Star Wars fan because this did all the things that we wanted it to do: excited us, intrigue us, and invest us as audience members when we get to the see the movie when it comes out and have NO IDEA (partially) about what the movie is going to be.
+Chris Rod If anyone, it's probably Luke. We don't really see him, but I think thats for good reason. I think Luke is gonna hold a major role like Ben or Yoda. He's probably gonna train him, and he's probably gonna die. It's always the wise Jedi who kicks the bucket.
I fully intend to see this opening weekend, and, no matter what happens in the movie, I will leave the theater, screaming some spoiler that doesn't even happen. "HAN DIES!"
I am watching the US premier on December 17 at 7 pm. A friend bought some tickets and we're all seeing it together. AWESOME doesn't begin to describe this.
I think that these trailers are deceiving us. The trailers shows Finn with sound clips of others speaking about Jedi. Him with a light saber in one scene just doesn't convince me. The girl, Rey, has many parallels to Luke with humble beginnings as a scavenger (even complete with her own R2 unit). I think that she is the Jedi. I also think that Finn's last name will be Calrissian (Lando's son). No proof obviously, just a hunch.
I like it .its not as bad as everyone says it is.it has terrible special effects though...but people complain about Anakin whining and when he finally becomes Darth Vader and he gets to know that his wife is dead he says "Nooooooo".I find that legitimate. even though I watched the first 2 star wars movie years ago and I don't remember everything but I stand by it.it's not as bad as people say it is.
+fobudomh The reason why people hate them so much is because they changed a lot of what made the original trilogy special. They began explaining things that didn't need to be explained.
+The Banterlope Because some people like me can separate them from the original star wars and just enjoy them for what they are. They aren't as bad as people say they only seem that way because they aren't as good as the original trilogy.
Well they aren't entertaining, I care little about the characters, the fights are over choreographed to the point where they break suspension of disbelief and there isn't a consistent villain.
+Hank Hill Bitch please, we all know the Phantom Menace was the best Star Wars movie, Attack of the Clones is a close second though. The main reason Phantom Menace was superior was because of Jar-Jar Binks. he had a much bigger role in the first film, so he was able to carry the movie.
I was one of the few that trusted JJ with this (after heating his love of Wars on the Trek Blu Ray. This trailer and the other 2 trailers show JJ is a fan. I freaking love that John Boyaga is holding the blade of Anakin Skywalker, that lone shot of Jedi Master Skywalker and of course the music. I definitely have plans to wear my Vader cosplay to the opening.
That scene where the camera pans around would have been a minute long boring as crap dialogue scene shot against green screen with shot-reverse-shot camera angles in the prequels.
im 17 years old,my mum introduced me to the original trilogy when i was 12 and ive loved it ever since i actually have serious fights with my girlfriend since at every new trialer the next 2-3 days the only thing i can talk about is star wars. so hyped for this movie. hope it delivers
Saw the trailer, loved it. Very pleased that you enjoyed it and are as excited for The Force Awakens as much as I am. (I too have grown up with Star Wars and can relate to your "childhood" and "manliness" combining). You are awesome!
Hmmm, I don't know, Vader COULD be alive...but in another form. Cuz in the first trailer, Luke was quoted as saying "The force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it. My sister has it. You have the power too..." If Vader were dead, then wouldn't he have said my father *HAD* it? O.O
Not necessarily. We don't know that line is actually on the film. It could very we'll be just some promo throwback for marketing purposes, considering it's almost an exact quote from Jedi.
If there isn't dancing corpse Vader, I'm raiding George Lucas's ranch. I don't care if he had nothing to do with it. I dunno where Jar Jar Abrams lives.
I honesly don't think John Boyega's character is gonna be the Jedi in all of this... I'm guessing the Jedi here is gonna be Daisy Ridley. I'm almost certain, actually! Anyways, so pumped for it right now! Gonna leave the theater as soon as it ends and get back inside for another round :D
I agree. I expect John Voyega to die in the saber battle we see begin in this trailer. He's clearly not prepared, and we see the girl crying over a dead body in the same environment the duel was in (snowy, trees, etc) later in the trailer (or maybe earlier...or maybe a different trailer altogether, but it's there somewhere)
yeah I totally get it, the elements of the movie that take me back to when I was a kid, like with the music, and the being curious to see a different storyteller tell the story to see where this story is gonna go. It's a mix of nostalgia and I guess wonder.
Anybody wonder if Kylo Ren might secretly be a good guy or something? He says to the Darth Vader mask "I'll finish what you started" but Vader kills the Sith Lord...so technically, Vader kinda started the end of the sith. Or maybe he's saying it in a backhanded kind of way like "You weren't man enough to carry out your duties as a sith. I'll finish what you couldn't do."
I don't know how I feel about this... I don't want to see another Death Star built. All that "I will finish what you started" and the poster pointing that way... come on man... another Death Star? I don't want another genius from a desert planet. I don't want Hans Solo be Han Solo with Chewbacca. I want a closure for them. I wouldn't actually kill him off, but yeah, i would not be mad about the death of Han Solo. What I would enjoy seeing? A great leader, an old wise man turned to darkness because some profound reason that is so heartbreaking my feelings would melt off. Not a shit continuation with another teenager who wants to finish what Darth Vader started... Teenager? yeah, did you look on IMDB who plays Kylo Ren? yeah. An impossible to like teenager. I don't want to be a hater, but I had bigger expectations than this trailer, that tiny lead what's the movie about. It CAN be great, I didn't see the movie yet, but for me it's not looking good or promising. I want an original story, not the re-telling of the ideal hero with problems, defeating the pure evil dude on the Death Star again, fuck that! I would want originality! I would want a huge story that has not been told before! I don't want to root against Kylo Ren, I want to feel his pain! I want a battle between two or more characters, where I can't chose sides! To hell with the cliché Hollywood mediocre storytelling. Ahhh.... I feel I ask too much.. but daym, this is the next Star Wars... I should expect everything...
+Vida András Hayden Cristensen is a great dramatic actor. Whenever he doesn't have to say George Lucas' terrible dialogue and throws a death glare, you can see how this person would become one of the most feared villains in cinema history.
+Spacebattler What other movies has Hayden Cristensen been in? I've literally only seen him in star wars so I don't know if he's actually a good actor. I want to see him be a "great dramatic actor" as you said.
+Vida András I Agree... but i think we will get a lot of originality, like boyega being a stromtropper to become a jedi, thats orginal, beside, we havent even seen luke yet, so he could have something original im him too, also, an old han and leia type caracters, we havent had that in the OT, they could pull of something new, and luke wasnt a scavenger in ANH like rey... well, we judt have to wait til the movie comes out ;) In J.J. We Trust!
If you look closely at the shot of John Boyega holding the lightsaber, the hilt looks like Anakin's lightsaber, also the lightsaber that Luke lost when Vader chopped his arm off. Maybe Fin is Lukes new apprentice? What I wonna know is how that lightsaber was found after Episode IV. I can't wait to see this movie, so much nostalgia
+swishpronoob Damn that sucks man. It's better to watch 4-6 then 1-3. Or watch a compilation of highlights from 1 and 2 then watch 4, 5, 3, then 6. But that's just me. You won't get the big payoff in 4-6 like most do since you were spoiled with the prequels but you'll definitely see a leap in quality of writing/directing compared to the prequels.
+LeinadCasey Yeah I knew bits and pieces of some major plot points from 4-6 before watching the prequels but I've never seen them in their entirety. Strange given that I am a big fan of sci fi, I love blade runner and the alien films, though I hear people calling star wars as fantasy and not sci fi.
+swishpronoob Star Wars was a game changer when it came to the Sci Fi as a movie genre. It had a huge impact on everything that followed it and still sets the baseline for the genre as a whole. 30 years later they still hold up [particularly ESB] agains the vast majority of modern sic-fi adventures. You really should sit down and watch all three of the original movies; you do not know what you are missing.
The closest to perfect that a trailer can be. I didn't think I could be more hyped for this movie, but I am and, as you said, they didn't have to give away anything about the story to achieve that effect!
The perfect Episode IIV: Enough nostalgic value for people who saw the original trilogy as kids and want to go see this one. This includes the wipe and star screen transitions and a lot of actual real props instead of CGI E.G. real droids and costumes for aliens. Enough action for kids to enjoy and then in around 25 years become the people who watch it for nostalgia. A good story and characters that stay true and loyal to the star wars universe, yet somewhat modernising it for people who care about Star Wars and don't want a repeat of The Phantom Menace. E.G. Jeremy
Honestly as a kid who watched aboth the sequel and prequels, I love them both. Both had good things going for them. People forget that in the end, a movie to to entertain, if after the watching the movie, you are entertained. Then that was a good movie. Of course then comes the rating and all that good stuff. But at its core, if you enjoyed the movie then it served its purpose.
So, two things. 1, Abrams giving the Empire a religious undertone to it is friggin' awesome (in the prequels, that didn't extend past the force-wielders), and it REALLY helps ground this whole thing. 2, The visual style. I love how this looks like it's being directed by an actual director (and one with a vision, for that matter), and not some corporate crap.
I loved this trailer soooooo damn much. I'm still getting goosebumps watching it. My favourite bits? 1) Han saying the dark side and the Jedi are real. 2) the Force, it's calling to you. Just let it in. Oh hell yeah I'm gonna let in it!
I hope the (intentional) subtlety in the all the trailers and information for this film inspires the rest of the movie industry (and indeed the world - esp. though the Internet) to veer away from spoiler-rific stuff and stick to only little tidbits here and there because, personally, I love being in the dark about a lot of it and discovering it on my own by watching the film.
The "deathstar looking thing" is called the Starkiller base. That is what we see the xwings and tie's fighting over in the snow. It's the size of a planet.
That look on John Boyega's face during the lightsaber dual at the end just has be pumped to see the movie. You can see the fear and adrenaline running through the character. I cannot wait for this movie!
Heck yea, I would say that comes close to the perfect trailer, getting me VERY excited, stirring up nostalgia, not giving away really anything, and making me feel like I can't wait. No wonder all the ticket servers crashed on Monday!
I loved the trailer overall. Everything Jeremy said basically is what summed up how I feel about the trailer. But there's one thing in particular that has me curious. When Kylo Ren looks at Vader's mask and says, "I will finish what you started.", it doesn't make sense how the empire is still honoring Vader even though Vader was the one who threw the Emperor into the pit. Maybe the Empire doesnt know if Vader killed the Emperor or maybe it was because it was Anakin's presence that killed him. I'm just curious to how thats going to be explained in the movie.
Dude I just came out of rehab and this trailer is literally the first thing I saw after walking through the door. Lady at the counter gives me my phone back and my brother sent me the link. Life is goooood!
Others may think this is silly but while watching the trailer and we see Kylo Ren with his light Saber/sword and what is likely to be the Knights of Ren, but it instantaniously made me think of the Ringwraiths with the Witch King of Angmar as their leader with his sword that injures Frodo. Something about the formation of the the knights and wraiths in their shots just looked really similar. Also this has probably been pointed out a million times before, but I haven't heard or seen comments about it, but the blood on Finn's stormtrooper helmet looks to me as though it could be a handprint. Makes me think that what made him want quit being a stormtrooper wasn't something he was simply he witnessed from a distance, but he was up close and personal and literally touched by something that left him with one choice.
saw the trailer a bajillion times (like almost every day until the movie came out), freaking loved it, saw the movie 3 times, loved it. Still watch the trailer occasionally, still love it. The force awakens trailer is probably the greatest trailer ever.
Finn, you're out of your element! Big Lebowski references aside, I've probably watched the trailer something like forty times at least over the last three days. I almost wish I was kidding when I say that. I'm dead serious. The night it came out, I was up till 3 in the morning, and half that total time spent up past midnight was just watching the trailer intermittently. I watched about six more times the following day.
Totally agree Jeremy . This trailer showed more without showing giving away anything , which is clever within itself. I think that's one thing they are doing right with this movie. Not giving anything away in the trailers, which is great , keeps us guessing and also doesn't give away any awesome scenes . I liked age of ultron but the trailers did kill it for me a bit as I felt I'd seen most of the good parts in the trailers. Can't wait for the new Star Wars film! I think (and hope ) it will be a blast! :)
Two things: 1: Isn't it a huge coinsidence that his 1000th video happens to be a Star Wars one?2: This trailer finally convinced me; I have become a Star Wars fan! MAY THE FORCE BE WITH US!
You have the best reviews Jeremy. Well respected. And I may be late on this but I believe that was Luke that touched R2 (as if reuniting with a long lost friend; and the robotic right hand).
We see pretty much no footage from the trailer in this vid but i did have a constant smile on my face just cuz he is talking about star wars. I was dmiling as if i was watching the trailer.
its a really interesting concept to me that the Force and Jedi would have fallen into myth for most people if you think about it. Like even Imperial officers didn't really put much stock in it even though their boss could use it to choke people and stuff, and add another 30 years with both Jedi and Sith pretty much destroyed. Yeah the Force is gonna need some awakening. And that's a cool concept that I don't think the expanded universe explored as much. I am with Jeremy in hype, now i need to find a star wars cape and order my tickets
The girl says to Han Solo "is this story true......" and Han Solo replies, "is true all of it, i shot first".

Not everyone celebrates things because they are multiplicative of 10.
+The Timmortal strip DND sounds good
+Zac Winter well, almost everyone does...
he is gonna make porn
Jeremy, you need a medal. Your too good for this world.
" I was frozen in metal and sold to a slug!"
Jeremy, how do you always find the comedic beat? I love it
I believe when he said "I will finish what you have started" he was talking about the Death Star
which is why its on the poster because he is making a new one
and Darth Vader is dead (unfortunately) because at the end of Episode 6 they show Anakin's ghost appear next to Yoda's ghost and Obi Wan's ghost during the victory party with the ewoks
'John boyega is gonna turn into a jedi' hahaha remember when we all thought that
He still might. They leave hints that he can.
@@mongooseunleashed *No he didn't*
@@starhunter9085 I refer to my previous answer. Lol
If this movie turns out to be shit... My god.... People are going to die.
Prof. Plump Believe in JJ...his star trek work was greattt.Star wars will be too..
If this movie is shit it wouldn't matter cause it's going to make a shit ton of money because it's starwars.
Daniel Moreno It actually does matter hugely for the creators too - if this one is shit then no one will go and see episode 8 and 9.
If JJ can give me goosebumps and make me cry like an idiot making me remember my seven old self watching the original Star Trek series with my mom, whilst watching the new Star Trek movies..... Star Wars the Force Awkwakens WILL be good. (But that's just my opinion though :3c)
+marvelgirl68 Bitch, get on your knees!!!
"I was frozen in metal and sold to a slug. IT'S REAL."
So, what is your opinion on the sequels now, 7 years later?
Here's what I got from this trailer: A major character dies. (Think Obi-wan's sacrifice for Luke).
+Chris Rod han is making the obi wan sacrifice in this movie
+Bruce Watson Pretty sure it's gonna be Chewie...
oh yeah and quigon died in the first movie.
its gotta be Han Solo
+Chris Rod If anyone, it's probably Luke. We don't really see him, but I think thats for good reason. I think Luke is gonna hold a major role like Ben or Yoda. He's probably gonna train him, and he's probably gonna die. It's always the wise Jedi who kicks the bucket.
I fully intend to see this opening weekend, and, no matter what happens in the movie, I will leave the theater, screaming some spoiler that doesn't even happen. "HAN DIES!"
opening weekend?
Hahahahahah GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
+jim gordon how do you know he/she hasnt already booked for it ? dipshit
tommy towse I don't know. But its irrelevant.
+jim gordon im campin out opening weekend
ad douglas that wont help you beat the crowd that's camping out opening weekend.
Oh Jeremy. You had NO IDEA how they'd connect Rey and Kylo. You poor, past self
I am watching the US premier on December 17 at 7 pm. A friend bought some tickets and we're all seeing it together. AWESOME doesn't begin to describe this.
Watching a trailer review in 60 fps is just better, thanks Jeremy, sweden loves you
I think that these trailers are deceiving us.
How could anyone even like the prequels who is like... Over 7
Because everyone has an opinion
I might get hate for this but....
I think I'll enjoy this movie more than any other star wars
No hate needed. I'm on board with you and I'm sure many will too
Cloudy Storm Thank you :)
+Hank Hill haha ha ha ha no
+Hank Hill Bitch please, we all know the Phantom Menace was the best Star Wars movie, Attack of the Clones is a close second though. The main reason Phantom Menace was superior was because of Jar-Jar Binks. he had a much bigger role in the first film, so he was able to carry the movie.
+morgatron4639 Jar Jar is the key to all of this
I was one of the few that trusted JJ with this (after heating his love of Wars on the Trek Blu Ray. This trailer and the other 2 trailers show JJ is a fan. I freaking love that John Boyaga is holding the blade of Anakin Skywalker, that lone shot of Jedi Master Skywalker and of course the music. I definitely have plans to wear my Vader cosplay to the opening.
"I was frozen in metal and sold to a slug, IT'S REAL" rofl
That scene where the camera pans around would have been a minute long boring as crap dialogue scene shot against green screen with shot-reverse-shot camera angles in the prequels.
While they all talk more robotic than the robots.
Could "I will finish what you started" mean building a new Death Star?
Maybe, most likely just destorying the remaining Jedi
+Stetson Bennett And maybe actually using it more than once.
I'm thinking he means he will finish destroying the rebels.
+Stetson Bennett The First Order does have a weapon that is similar to the Death Star, but I think he meant destroying the Jedi and the rebels.
4:13 He fails the test.
im 17 years old,my mum introduced me to the original trilogy when i was 12 and ive loved it ever since
i actually have serious fights with my girlfriend since at every new trialer the next 2-3 days the only thing i can talk about is star wars.
so hyped for this movie.
hope it delivers
Saw the trailer, loved it. Very pleased that you enjoyed it and are as excited for The Force Awakens as much as I am. (I too have grown up with Star Wars and can relate to your "childhood" and "manliness" combining). You are awesome!
Hmmm, I don't know, Vader COULD be alive...but in another form. Cuz in the first trailer, Luke was quoted as saying "The force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it. My sister has it. You have the power too..." If Vader were dead, then wouldn't he have said my father *HAD* it? O.O
well, ya know...force ghost
That quote is said in the sixth movie. That's why it's in present tense.
Not necessarily. We don't know that line is actually on the film. It could very we'll be just some promo throwback for marketing purposes, considering it's almost an exact quote from Jedi.
Vader died good, so if anybody he would talk to Finn as a force ghost
If there isn't dancing corpse Vader, I'm raiding George Lucas's ranch.
I don't care if he had nothing to do with it. I dunno where Jar Jar Abrams lives.
What if we all rush to the theaters in December, watch Star Wars, and realize that it's just a movie?
but, but, but B B B but star wars
+Walter Shmitty NO! IT"S TRUE! ALL OF IT! SHUT UP!
Lol, i'm a fucking nerd.
It's feckin Star Wars!!
or worse.
how dare you
I honesly don't think John Boyega's character is gonna be the Jedi in all of this... I'm guessing the Jedi here is gonna be Daisy Ridley. I'm almost certain, actually!
Anyways, so pumped for it right now! Gonna leave the theater as soon as it ends and get back inside for another round :D
I think both will be or at least I hope so. I think the Force Awakens implies that more than a few people are becoming force sensitive now.
+Bruno Marques I think that Daisy Ridley is the Luke of this trilogy (the main protagonist) that said i hope Finn is also a jedi cause thatd be dope
+Bruno Marques They both will be Jedi's.
I more think that he gets seriously injured, perhaps continuing the tradition of losing a limb in the movies
Congratulations Jeremy on doing your 1,000 vids. Keep up with the awesometacular work
yeah I totally get it, the elements of the movie that take me back to when I was a kid, like with the music, and the being curious to see a different storyteller tell the story to see where this story is gonna go. It's a mix of nostalgia and I guess wonder.
So........................did Luke turn evil??
where is Leia(Idk how to spell it)
+Chris Mejia If i remember correctly nun of them died. And they have no excuse cuz their old. Yoda was old asf too. he was still whooping some ass
***** Who hasn't seen episode VI
***** Lmaoo. I should've specified what I was talking about.
The girl: Rey
The guy: Finn
Anyone here after Disney butchered this trilogy?
Anybody wonder if Kylo Ren might secretly be a good guy or something? He says to the Darth Vader mask "I'll finish what you started" but Vader kills the Sith Lord...so technically, Vader kinda started the end of the sith. Or maybe he's saying it in a backhanded kind of way like "You weren't man enough to carry out your duties as a sith. I'll finish what you couldn't do."
Mind Blown
But no one except luke and the emperor knew about cadets change of heart,
It took Avatar 48 weeks to set the all-time US box office record,
which TFA is set to break in less than 3 weeks.
Truly amazing.
Who's watching this in 2017?
If only he knew
Batman was here right
I don't know how I feel about this...
He has a point tho.
We Trust!
+Vida András There's no Death Star, that thing is a weapon that's embedded within an ice planet, called a Star Killer. It can destroy a solar system.
Jeremy in 60fps. Amazing. Now we can see your cape flow as if we were actually there!
I haven't seen Star Wars. The look on people's faces when I tell them this is both entertaining and irritating.
I've only watched the prequels and I'm 33. Anyway, I plan to watch 4 to 6 soon.
+swishpronoob You both are bad and should feel bad :P BUT wow to get that first time again
Who’s also here after ROS
I think it's cool that Jeremy did a video about Star Wars for his 1000th video. Congrats on this milestone! Hopefully SW7 will be awesometacular.
The closest to perfect that a trailer can be. I didn't think I could be more hyped for this movie, but I am and, as you said, they didn't have to give away anything about the story to achieve that effect!
Happy 1000th Video!!! And how awesome that it's a Star Wars video!! Here's to 1,000 more!
This is one of those times I wish I actually knew you and could just hang out and gab movie!
Awesome stuff there.
Congrats on the 1000th video Jeremy!! Still awesome as ever
The perfect Episode IIV:
Enough nostalgic value for people who saw the original trilogy as kids and want to go see this one.
It would be cool if Tsui Hark directed it.
Who is that?
Jeremy's camera has to be some of the best quality that I've seen in any web video... it's like he's standing in front of me.
JEREMY THIS WAS YOUR 1000TH VIDEO. CONGRATULATIONS ON A FABULOUS RUclips CAREER.
I loved this trailer soooooo damn much. I'm still getting goosebumps watching it. My favourite bits? 1) Han saying the dark side and the Jedi are real. 2) the Force, it's calling to you. Just let it in. Oh hell yeah I'm gonna let in it!
I could see Jeremy totally wearing those curtains to the premiere opening :D
This trailer was amazing and ,like you touched on, the fact they they are not giving up the story too much in the trailer is so refreshing.
New best thing in the world: Jeremy Star Wars cape flowing at 60 frames per second.
That look on John Boyega's face during the lightsaber dual at the end just has be pumped to see the movie. You can see the fear and adrenaline running through the character. I cannot wait for this movie!
"It was true"
So the original trilogy became stories...."A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away"
"Ultimate man-child me" you've put into words what I've been searching for to describe my excitement for this film. Well played Sir...well played.
Heck yea, I would say that comes close to the perfect trailer, getting me VERY excited, stirring up nostalgia, not giving away really anything, and making me feel like I can't wait. No wonder all the ticket servers crashed on Monday!
I am very surprised no mention of that flash of R2 and Luke in his Obi wan cloak in that cave was not mentioned, that got me even more hype
I agree, VERY happy to hear that it didn't show any spoilers, I watched the review first just to get that tidbit, now watching
Jeremy! Please review Beasts of no nation! It's only on Netflix!
saw the trailer a bajillion times (like almost every day until the movie came out), freaking loved it, saw the movie 3 times, loved it. Still watch the trailer occasionally, still love it. The force awakens trailer is probably the greatest trailer ever.
So, what is your opinion on the sequels now, 7 years later?
Finn, you're out of your element!
Big Lebowski references aside, I've probably watched the trailer something like forty times at least over the last three days. I almost wish I was kidding when I say that. I'm dead serious. The night it came out, I was up till 3 in the morning, and half that total time spent up past midnight was just watching the trailer intermittently. I watched about six more times the following day.
I had the Empire Strikes back sheets with the same art style. I only had 1 sheet left and my wife threw it out (was sooo old). The tear was real man!
Dude. Congratulations on 1000 video's man!!!! :)
Boyega's backstory totally reminded me of Cecil of Final Fantasy IV, if it really is how we assume his character arc to be. And that is awesome.
jeremy's hair is on fleek in that little clip of his reaction to new trailer
