Erstaunlich, diese Kraftentfaltung mit einem relativ kleinem Orchester. Bach hätte wie Händel nach London emigrieren müssen. Händel mit Wassermusik und Feuerwerksmusik sehr gut, aber dieses Konzert toppt noch einmal, eines englischen Königs würdig. So wurde Bach nach seinem Tod vergessen...wer weiß, wie viele seiner Kompositionen zum Ofen anheizen verwendet wurden?

Der zurückgehaltene Klang des Cembalos ist auch bemerkenswert. Der geniale Dirigent leitet das kompakte und ausgezeichnete Orchester im rhythmischen Tempo und mit möglichst effektiver Dynamik. Wahrlich hörenswert!

Zubin Mehta's Sohn ! (?) Eigentlich Countertenor. Mir gefallen vor allem die Bach-Trompeten, nebst allem und allen anderen.
