Orion changed there warranty to 5 years recently
Pelican Is Amazing! They back their products for life & Made In USA, Yeti moved their production to Thailand.. I know where I want my money going to USA Made.

I Have the Pelican 1510 carry on luggage which I store my camera gear and love it!
Actually, it’s the Philippines. I just got the new Roadie 24 because I like their new latches, and I got it on sale for $170. Also, got the Pelican elite 70; both coolers look really nice. Though my wife probably would have liked it better if it was made in Thailand because she’s Thai.
FYI, On the Pelican, your complaint about the handles? It only applies to the 30Qt. The 50Qt & 70 Qt have very good, easy to use full handles. The 30Qt is a size that is usually a 1 person only and underhand (guessing here) so why waste space by putting the 50 or 70 side handles on it if 2 people aren't needed to carry it.

Certain sizes of the pelican cooler you can also purchase and add a cushion on top my husband works for pelican we have one and he just purchased a soft cooler to use as a lunch bag

I just found a grizzly 40 sitting on the side the road next to somebody's trashcan all it needs is a new latches I guess that would be the deal of the day

I thinking of buying a pelican. Like the one shown? How is the lid for leaking? If you tip it over does it pour water out? How does it stack up against the others. I've watched a lot of videos, no one ever seems to ask nor answer this question.
it seems to do very well. I would say when your in this high end cooler space they all perform great!
Yeti is way over priced and other coolers performed better too. I purchased the new Pelican 70 qt and got lifetime warranty plus better price than the Yeti.

Idk if you ever carried one of these coolers by yourself. Those rope handles are a PITA, carrying by yourself. Damn Rtic 45 is always banging against my leg. I ordered a pelican 30, just like that one. Wanted one with a little less room. My 45, takes a case of beer and 20 lbs of ice to fill up. Also ordered an rtic 20 for the ATV and golf cart, since I like my 45, I’ve had for 2 years.

At the 4:30 mark, the Yet is able to close seal-tight on its own? Which model of Yeti is that? And what technology allows it to have that freezer like lid?

The best performance cooler on the market today for retaining ice per quart size vs others at same size is the cabela's. The also have a pressure release button.
BBBYpsi No not at all I wouldn't buy that ugly thing if somebody paid me to buy it I hate yeti in Pelican with a passion but I'd buy a Yeti or a pelican over that ugly-ass Cabela's cooler any day. Thankfully I don't have to my 45 quart Fatboy cooler can probably keep up with that ugly ass Cabela's cooler for again cheaper in the Fatboy cooler just looks better than the Cabela's cooler in every way and it also has a pressure release valve.

I owned three Pelicans back when they were the pro Gear series and I can tell you right now they were all garbage and I got rid of them. I bought my third one from pelicancoolers.com it was gray and it came with a warped lid and Pelican coolers.com tried to sit there and tell me lid warping was normal with Pelicans. I sent that gray cooler back and they told me that they were going to send me a new cooler then they did even send me a new cooler it is send me my money back. So then I bought Canyons and they've been great I also have an orca and I also have to Fatboy coolers now in every single one of those coolers are way better than any pelican. You be way better off to have an orca cooler sitting in that group I don't know why you got to Pelican sitting there and the new design of the Pelicans look awful I would never buy it not even if it was from a different company not in a hundred years. What I learned from Pelicans is just because something says Made in America doesn't mean it's better. My two my to Canyon coolers made in Taiwan they kick ass am I two Fatboy coolers are made in China and they're kicking even more ass they're all I'm using right now the American-made orca has been sitting in the house not being used the White Fatboy 45 quart is in the back of the truck right now 179 flat no sales tax suck on that Pelican.

Ebony American pelican is the best cooler and case manufacturer.. I have 6 of their coolers and none have have any issues.. I also have 2 orcas and one of them had a warped lid from sitting in the sun... Nothing wrong with orca but they don't compete with pelicans fit and finish and overall quality
