Supercool to drive the CT, but meeting Franz would have been the highlight for me. He is a legend.
Exactly what I was thinking. I would want to tell him how awesome I think he is, but I would have to hold back so I didn't make him uncomfortable. Nothing against Elon but Franz would be my first choice to meet.

What i like about this car is the fact it looks out of place from a distant future, a spaceship of some sort which makes it stand out. I'd rather prefer to have someone giving me the look " WTF! " When cruising by with the cyber truck instead of the "Woah" you usually get when you have lamb or porches which is so common nowadays.
This is the first video that showed what I was looking for. Front rear interior shots and driving it as a non Tesla employee
What an amazing experience. The steer by wire should make the yoke more useful for those who like the yoke look. The squircle is a great idea too.

that front facing camera with the lines will be a gamechanger for serious off road use, picking lines over rocks and stuff. so jelous you got to drive it, i really hope they make a RHD version one day for Australia.
How is that "game chsnging" when off road packages have offered multiple cameras for years? Including tire facing cameras, underbody cameras. Far more than what Cybertruck offers.
@@TroySavary I don't know, we have a 2019 4Runner TRD and it doesn't have anything like that. Am I supposed to go on some third party website to order some sort of camera setup like that? Or is our car not "off road" enough?
@@ferzon69 The Colorado ZR2 comes with 10 cameras, including an underbody camera, from the factory. Or if you are a Toyota guy, so does the Tacoma TRD. Actually, edited to add, so does the 4Runner TRD. Must have been introduced after 2019 model. Sorry that facts show the Cybertruck is not as special as you thought.

The first one I've seen in the wild was on December 4th going through a drive through in Prosper Texas near 380 and Windsong. I managed to get a clear photo and it was like getting a selfie with sasquatch. My wife has one reserved and she was so mad she wasn't with me.

Match it? The competition is already ahead. Cybertruck has the lowest range of all the current electric trucks. The tow rating, especially for the base model, is unimpressive. And it is more expensive than the others.

This was really cool! I believe we were shoulder buddies at the event and I remember hearing you talk about getting to drive one some time later. I too got the pleasure to briefly drive one but it definitely wasn't with Franz, jealous for sure.

You know what's amazing? Driving a Ferrari F-40 on a track would be described as amazing.
I think the Rear view mirror should be the camera. Also the back window should be openable,slider maybe.
The tonneau cover goes past the back window. It would be like a guillotine if the window opened.

@@TroySavary Cos its all not about cybertruck by itself. Its about technical supermacy under weird body. Cybertruck is pathfinder of technical revolution in car building. And yes, its owners (tesla fans) ready to be testers of expensive product.

They did it correct here, when in reverse, the side cameras are on the top of the screen and the rear camera is at the bottom. Not so on my model 3 !

Very cool!!! So there is a rear view mirror. I was surprised to see the wiper on the passenger side of the instead of the test units having them on the driver side.
The wiper is on the driver side, the two exterior clips in the end I mirrored.
How is there a rearview mirror in this truck.

I don't think so, rear seats are mounted on back wall.
They really need to build in a slight recline on rear seats. That is my only major issue with Tesla as my kids sit in the back of my S and they are uncomfortable within 15 mins due to it being to straight up and down

I wonder if there are billionaires on the planet who would have paid tens of thousands of dollars to drive one of the first CTs off the line. On that note, I wonder what the first couple hundred trucks delivered to their owners would be worth, if the owners were to resell them immediately (?)
Reselling is not allowed for one year unless approved by Tesla and if you don’t seek approval they will sue you for $50,000. Yes the clause is back as it’s in the contract I received when completing my Foundation Series order.

CT is cool but its pretty much model 3 enlarged as far as interior. Center screen etc etc. Not worth $100k more, No?
100 k more.. what you mean? starting price for cybertruck is 60k and for model 3 depends on your location, but around 35-40k
