Nureyev was a very private person when it came to his personal life,so what what he did was no one's business of stage,very few people knew him but ignored. His secret side about him to themselves for maybe they had secrets like his ,the early 90s was a frighten year for men+women with aids a disease that was not understood but thought of as contagious, Nureyev had an idea he had it but his partner who was a ballet dancer died a few months when Nureyev found out,but at least he died back in his home land Russia and is not forgotten for being a great ballet dancer of his time,rest in peace Nureyev may God be with with you,god bless you ,rest in peace, amen 🐦💙🌷🌹💐🌼🌸🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌷🌷🌷🌷☀️🌈🌟😘
I do NOT mind saying, I received a Scholarship into a Classical Ballet School in Golders Green. I soon after, began to suffer with Anorexic symptoms. The ballet-world was not what it seemed at first for Myself! Lots of pressure….I struggled.

It was Frank Augustyn of the Royal Canadian Ballet who was initially a gymnast and then exhorted to attend ballet classes which his parents initially negated. Augustyn partenered with Karen Kain and both won many awards during their dancing careers.

+shoshana 13 Just find a Chrome or RUclips plugin for this purpose. It's what I use/ turn on when they don't subtitle the language I don't know directly within the documentary/movie. I would give you the link, but, sorry, I can't figure out where I got it from and don't know how to link it to you (stupid me). I remember that I just searched Chrome extensions online and found and installed it within minutes, so you shouldn't have a problem. No extra crap like ads or extra toolbars came with it. Don't use Chrome? Oh, my.
But he had only had 3 years of professional training when he defected! Yet he danced like a virtuoso with so much power and grace. In a way, Nureyev WAS self-taught.
It doesn't look as if anyone really understood why Rudolf became so much more promiscuous and predatory as he got older. But it was a progression that seemed to have started when he met the dissolute Teja Kremke.
