Don't forget that oral replacement of "vitamin D3" (a prehormone AKA cholecalciferol that is normally synthesized in the human skin given pre-industrial levels of sunlight exposure and rarely found in human foods) doesn't come with all the benefits of sunlight exposure itself (exposure to near infrared, melatonin regulation, etc.).

Summaries are not a good idea. You really shouldn’t do it. People read the summaries and ignore the underlying discussion that explains the “why” of the bullet points. People leave the video with some facts but no underlying knowledge. They couldn’t explain it if challenged. Just let people listen. If it’s important enough they will make time to listen.

Salmon is always the go to image for Omega 3 but farmed salmon in most countries is a poor choice of food. These fish are raised in horrific conditions, fed 'land based protein ' which is chicken waste and soy and lots of antibiotics. They need to be colored pink because of this diet and they feed them Omega-3 as it is not in their diet. Unless you really know where your salmon comes from, you are better off with a reputable supplement.

I always first try to use food as my medicine. Could you give some dosage ideas in "food" related units, eg, how many grams of Sardines, how much good olive oil, what other oils should one incorporate into cooking, salad dressing or just eating. How many vitamins and minerals do you obtain from say.. sardines? I primarily use food and supliments to reduce inflammation for hip arthritis with natural herbs and extracts, it works. The supplements and oilive oil, castor oil etc (I have a years long list), but a can of sardines every morning and salmon at night, this noticeably takes the edge off the hip pain, I can walk at least a kilometer further (4 rather than 3) and with only dull pain. I can also walk more freely, naturally and much faster. I now can stand and walk instantly rather than be immobolised for up to five minutes and 100/ 300m of walking. I had my heart and circulatory health checked at 72 and they said i had the heart of an astronaut, probably low carb, high anti inflam , high omega intake. Strangely, not eating red meat nor butter or any processed foods or seed oils my Cholesterol and LDL was sky high. Probably Low mass hyperresponder. I believe I could drink water for a year and still have it high. Still, never get sick, no flu , no covid (high vit D and K) Mum and the family had sky high LDL and they lived forever, into 90's. They had good simple farm diets basically. bread butter, meat 3 veg, tea.

One of the largest problems in some of these studies is the conflicting information never gets covered such as high doses of omega-3 can cause AFIB in some people. Also, another large issue is the end user never knows what to buy for fish oil or omega 3 supplements. Sure we understand that the reviewers don’t want to gate all manufacturers and only point to one they believe works best, but we need testing that involves over the counter supplements. A lot of fish oil available maybe rancid, or not effective.

There is no individual vitamin D recommendation. Get your levels checked. If they’re below 60-80. Take increasing amounts each time and get checked again. Eventually you’ll figure out how much D it takes you to get to optimal levels.
You’ll also need appropriate sunshine. It’s sunlight (NIR, UVB, 5mins of light in your eyes in the mornings first thing), movement, low stress, no overtraining, magnesium and good diet that fixes the glycocalyx.
Also if you’re D deficient or have been deficient for long times. Or you’ve experienced IBS or similar issues, you’ll eventually become Vitamin B deficient while taking vitamin D long term. Due to being used up to make repairs in your body. Vitamin D on its own led to b12 and b5 deficiency and trouble with sleeping. Also poor digestion. Taking b complex for a while helps that if you’re currently experiencing them. But doesn’t work prophylactically.

@@Kananaboo My last test for vitamin D was back in January 2024, and it was 60. I supplement with individual magnesium and vit B12, plus other B vits in a multi vit, so I don't think those are an issue. And I have no digestive issues either. And I work outdoors pretty much 52 weeks a year in central Florida, in a physically demanding job, though I do wear sun glasses and cover up with clothing and a wide brimmed hat. I got tons of sun exposure from age 18 to 47 in the sport of bicycle racing, so worry about getting skin cancer and skin aging.

It's helpful to change the terminology.
    Omega 3 is fuel.
It's produced one microscopic drop at a time through photosynthesis in diatoms, single cell plants.
    It is their energy storage.
Diatoms have only been around for around the same time as mamals, around 180 million years.
Unless you believe the world was created in seven days recently, in which case you wouldn't be interested.
Diatoms aren't the only source but half the atmospheric oxygen is produced by them.

The word is, ALL omega 3 fish oil supplements are oxidized, I've seen a video claiming the premier brands have overcome this, but even still, the benefits most likely outweigh any negatives, or at least I hope so.

Keywords: berberine, atherosclerosis, endothelial cell, vascular smooth muscle cell, inflammatory cell, vascular stem cell
There will be a reduction in illness and healthcare costs when the FDA is no longer allowed to tell lies of omission.
Recent studies found that berberine could inhibit both the proliferation and apoptosis of VSMCs induced by mechanical stretch stress simultaneously, which suggests that berberine might be an excellent drug to treat atherosclerosis.

I’m not convinced that removing all grain is a good thing. I buy whole grain organic stone milled Einkorn flour. It’s the way wheat was growing thousands of years ago. It is naturally low in gluten and even people with sensitive to grains do well with Einkorn. Even better is einkorn sourdough. I think the problem is way too much processed grain products.
Most who are anti grain never mention einkorn.

Hi Dr Davis, i'm just at this moment listening to book by Oprah Winfrey and Aurthur C Brooks called, Build the life you want. This is along the line of your teachings. But it struck me its the other side of the same coin. I believe to get you message out to the masses they are the sort of people that you need to reach out to. Imagine what could be done if Oprah got hold of this.
