  • Showing some of the cabin upgrades I've done to a cheap Catalina 22. I'll show the things I've done to the outside in another video.

    Love the boat!! I got a 76' I'm working on now. It has been in storage for 20 years and it was given to me. Didn't have all the parts. Putting on new spreader brackets now. The majority of the mast was filled with spray foam and I'm trying to get it out so I can run lighting and vhf through it. It's been a PIA. I love your upgrades and will be doing some of those for myself. Thanks for putting in the time to show us.

    Great boat I've owned 1 for 18 years. I raise it every Sunday, whatever interesting, what you did. I'm not taking mine out of the Lake so I don't have to do all that fancy stuff. You did, but very interesting. You're so right about everything, thanks, Pete.
    Thanks Pete

      @@tommorris6614sure thing! I took mine out of Dutchman's Creek a couple months ago and went up the cape fear to Wrightsville beach! That was an adventure! Weather was crazy but I did not die to death lol!
      You won't believe what those little boats can take. Leave your email in the comments and I will hit you up!

    Thank you for sharing your ideas. Lots to do on mine but I’m not very handy and difficult to find people to work on sailboats and it’s expensive.

    Hey thank you, this is some great inspiration! We just bought a Cat 22, first boat I’ve owned myself.
    Question: how do you attach snaps to the interior surface? Or exterior? Thanks

    • @Land_an_sea
      @Land_an_sea  Год назад

      There are snaps available with a screw in the male side. Look for stainless steel snaps with screws on Amazon. I always put just a tiny bit of beutal tape around the screw before screwing them in. A tiny pilot hole helps alot to get the screw started in the hull. Hope that helps good luck with the new boat. Where are y'all located?

      @@angelus5012 it's just a Marine switch panel with push button breakers instead of fuses from Amazon. It was cheap

    Galvanized cleet? I have bronze or stainless cleets in storage for free.

    • @Land_an_sea
      @Land_an_sea  Год назад +1

      That would of been my first choice if I had bronze or stainless laying around. I just used what I had. Those big ole double dipped galvanized cleats like for a dock work good. I use one on the foredeck kind of like a Samson post.
      I did have two matching cleats that were nickel covered bronze that I used to replace the plastic OEM ones on the stern.
      I've got two more plastic ones on the bow to do yet.
