For future it doesn’t have to be a marine battery. Any starter battery will do
@@crispinswainstonharrison9042 yes that is what we had before the marine battery, but we couldnt find any to buy. So had to go with the marine option this time
Yeah guys! enjoy the open ocean :)

@@wendymorgan8088 thanks as always Wendy!
Thank you for lovely photos..
What time is the best time to sail to chagos?
What date you left Coco's ?
@@mrno.7366 we left Coco's around 10 May, when South Easter has set in in Indonesia but trade winds not in full force yet is when we preferred to do this passage.
Sjoe ek bewonder julle!! Alles wat julle oor moes navorsing doen, so baie verskillende aspekte!! Julle gaan soos "ou" hande aan! Dis ongelooflik!
@@HesterGrove Dankie Hester. Ek weet self nie hoe kry ons alles reg nie 😂
Did the new battery solve the sluggish start?
@@home.port-Sydney yep! Perfect fit and fix!
What a relief that tiny crab didn't find the mashed potatoes inside of Gerard's head, it could have been a medical emergency---that was a close claw! It must have been a male crab, because a female would probably have enjoyed driving the guy crazy.
Last week's video was skillfully edited, but what surprised me the most were the sharks resting on the bottom because I heard that sharks need to be moving constantly through the water to breathe. I must have heard wrong, and will need to do some research.
@@BrianW-xl6fk excellent catch! Yes White tip reef sharks are part of the few shark species that can rest on the ocean floor and still keep breathing. Grabbed this off a website:
'Whitetip reef sharks are able to rest on the ocean floor because of small openings behind the eyes called spiracles.' Other species do sleep while moving, so you weren't wrong either.
Thanks for the compliments!
What is Avanti? She looks good spec.
@@cetterus she is a Cape Vickers 41ft. Built in South Africa and a Angelo Lavranos design. Ill give you the link of our boat video below.

@@DanieOosthuizen-l1x goeie info vir future reference ! Dankie
Nah, it doesn’t really work.
