"that's the same price for my 996..."
Matt i correct it for u :
"That's the same prices for my repairs and servicing for my 996" 😁
Thats not true bro🤷🏻♂️
@@immortal-tv-6602 a friends 997 cost him £15k for an engine rebuild from Hartech. The bills on Porsches can be sickening .
I Have the Exact same colour and spec subaru as this one ( 2005 Model) Had it for 5 Years . The feeling you get when driving it can only be expressed the way Matt was laughing and giggling when its on Song in the video, I could really understand why he was doing that!. Its a truly amazing machine in this day of anodine hyper fast hot hatches with no character or feel!
The only reason Matt wasn't shot at the beginning is because the car might've gotten hit.
Seriously, you made my day! Funny report but at the same time full of interesting informations, a complete review of my favorite car, I like so much subaru (my dream car is the hawkeye version).
Keep going matt!
I sat on this car before , the turbo in this car is no joke and seriously fast , it kicks in hardly from 2nd gear , it makes your body like you are being pressed to the seat and makes me scared being the passenger
*THISSSS*
oh wait, wrong channel
😳
@@carwow in the 720s vs 911 turbo s drag race , why was the 720s on Michelin pilot tyres?
And so these were the quirks and features.... of...oh no...wrong channel.
"They may find your spliffs" nearly choked on my tea
That was ace. My old Mk 1 Impreza Turbo 2000 is my favourite car I've ever owned (1998 model bought in around 2001). Not all-singing, all-dancing like the STi but it was still an absolute hoot to drive.
Hey Mat and carwow, some suggestions for some older cars:
BMW E46 M3
BMW E63 M6
BMW E85 Z4 M Coupe
Honda NSX 90s
Toyota Supra 90s
Nissan Skyline 90s
The car that made me interested in cars. A real childhood hero car for me.
The 1998 type Ra version c was the daddy of them all. Aluminium boot and bonnet. Thinner glass than standard. And it was a beast. Loved mine. Car No148/555.. Still wish I had it now.
Great review and to the point. Australia got the same version as in the UK and im lucky to own one in WR Blue with the last of the EJ207.
4:58 "I'm Imprezzed." 😉
I have this car in red colour too I love the quality and design of the interior, I dont know what is the matter with matt, he hates every car I love
actually quite refreshing reviewing an older car
id like to see more
Love my widetrack! Quickest way to get to 60 is launch in second (how Subaru got their 0-60 time of 4.5/4.6 seconds). Next time turn in the rev beeps and red light, it’s half the fun!
Had a WR1 which was basically this with a few more Prodrive tweeks and in a lovely ice blue, Best car I ever had.
That cap definitely adds on another 10 bhp 💯
Had one back in 2006, really quick car back in the day, but interior was poor. Like really fast tupperware .
i was just born is 2006 lmao
Absolutely... Hard plastic from the same factory as Tupperware
Wouldn't even mention the interior, it doesn't matter. This doesn't pretend to be anything like say an S-line or M sport package.
It was waaaay cheaper than equal performance cars though. Apart from the Lancer Evo.
@@coloniser.- You're a baby.
Just bought 2020 one last week in Canada. I want to keep it forever.
Finally a Subaru in this channel, thanks Mat.👌🖒
yeah, i’ve got an sti, had it a few years. regret getting it cos it’s costed me a lot, and now i can’t get rid of it!
🤣😏
As a Subaru fan boy I loved this video. I had 3 back in the day 😉 great to see reviews on cars when they were cars and not driving aids 👍
Next drag race: Subaru STI Vs Mitsubishi Evo iX
Definitely looking forward to this race

You can hear Mat laughing before calling Sam’s car “Rubbish”.
Thank you Mat for increasing the market value of my three prodrive wrx sti's (all with prodrive certificates, chassis plates and receipts)
Bet it's not the first time Mat's manager has given him an STI 😆

Wait , whaaaat ?
Love your content carwow, you inspired me to start my own youtube channel.
Thank you for motivation.
Subaru sti for life had mine brand new in 2005 and its still going original engine and clutch 🤟
Can we get more 90s 2000s car reviews please!!🥺
I ain't like old cars, it's just the cars I love gets old.
Considered swapping my S2K for one of these in '11... Seemed like it hadn't been looked after though. The oil was low and dirty and the cooling fan came on within about 2-3 minutes of a cold start... Walked away... Glad I did.
Luckily my dad still hold on with his evo 6.5.He still doesn't want to give me yet.
Lol
He'll never give it to you. 🤣
he ain‘t gonna give it to you bruv

The blue Subaru Impreza WRC(2003-2004) with the golden wheels and the yellow-green stars is just legendary
Fun fact the 03-09 outback and legacy’s all of them had frameless windows
well before that I had 00 legacy b4 which had frameless windows
dagnut yes most legacy’s and outback up to 09 had frameless windows I had a 08 outback 3.0 and a legacy gt 08 and both had frameless windows
@@multigamer1213 I miss my B4, far better than the STi as an all rounder once you map the VOD out
dagnut so true the older outback were good family car and off-roader I love both
all pre 2008 subaru had that frameless windows
