Awesome driving as usual, misha. Privileged for you to take me round again 👌now i need power mods 😅 same again next year? 💪
Love this video and love your car! Misha took my old M3 CS round in the wet last week 😅, he’s an awesome guy! You got an Instagram account? 🤘
Yes pls!
@@mgcharoudinif you'd like to drive a similar spec B5 S4 - I'm taking mine to the ring in August if you'd like a go! (Mine is an avant )

Sounds like a Boro accent? Nice car and video mate 👍
And now we all wants a vidéo with this S4 lol
Very true
So much
yessssssss
Yes, absolutely
Yes!!!
Hallo , vielen Dank für die tollen Kommentare 😊 Ich bin der Fahrer des S4 ....hatte meine Familie an Bord. War also nicht am Limit, aber die Bremsen.😇
Lol mega xD
Nice driving!
Vaya aparato y vaya manos😊😊😊😊
Wass haste gemacht? kw oder biltstein fahrwerk, nur h&r stabi hintern und k04 umbau mit so etwa 450ps? ( fahre selber k03 limo und kybrid ko4 avant s4 ;) )
nice!
The battle between the subaru and the audi in this video was more entertaining to me than watching professional race cars. My eyes were glued to the television. Theres something about street cars thats just that little bit more enjoyable to watch
Then along came the Seat and blew them both away 🤯
@@eyesodd lol. Yeah that was awesome as well
This Subaru handles very well. Every corner was so smooth. Add 50 more hp and this one will be an absolute weapon
Compliment to STI
Stole my exact thought
Considering thats standard power and engine its pretty quick. Is an S series though not a standard STI
Not to forget, the A052 tyres compliment its handling
I’d say another 75-100 to make it more competitive . At 312 hp with drivetrian losses that would make it a real threat on the track
MC talking about the S4 the whole time is the equivalent of going on a date and talking about the server the whole time. lol
Great cars and driving by both 👍👍
lol bro was getting cucked
B5 was special but the Leon definitely deserves some praise too! 🙌🏻
That's the sort of comment I came here looking for. I've seen *very* fast older S4s like that at track days here in the US - not much recently, but definitely back 15 or 20 years ago.
What impressed me more was the Seat! Didn't get to see much of it because it just walked away from the STI.
And Golf 8 GTI white color
That Audi S4 driving reminded me of the movie : Transporter 1 to 3 (i know the car is different) i don't know why but yea his driving was insane
Same, probably the way they recorded the movie scenes from the car behind
@@samsonacc8081 yea the turnings were identical to movie
@@samsonacc8081And the way the car balanced itself
Take a look to Ronin.
@@IroquoisPlissken I didn't understand what you have said?
When you realize the B5 S4 weighs ~3700lbs stock, and 60% of it is over the front end, the little black sleeper sedan in the video becomes all the more impressive… 🙌 🇩🇪 💪 🐌
Looked like Jason Statham’s stunt man driving it. 🏎️ 💪
Wonder what the weight distribution is when it's full of passengers 😂
Yes I was also surprised about it behaving like a well balanced RWD car. Way in my past I had a Porsche 944, that also used to look like this on fast corners, fully controlled but with the tail out a bit. A lot later I had a B6 S4, and unless you actually braked it into the corner it would prefer sliding the front wheels. It was comfortable and fast on the road, but definitely not a track car.
@@ScottZ370I’m sure the weight distribution was Much better probably. That looked way more planted than my S4 ever will be
@@ScottZ370It was a tactical kid in the back. To help with weight distribution. :D
@@ScottZ370 And what the total weight was if it was full of passenger, a derp a derp
Best video I’ve seen in a long long time! That S4 was mega haha! Not to mention the Subaru - also looked awesome!
Lots of audi comments, but for a stock powered impreza this thing was beating down well with no issues. Looks like a well put together car, few more hp and that should be flying.
Never seen an S4 of that generation rotate so well. Seems like it‘s been dialed in properly.
Or this driver actually understands how to extract the best from the platform, 99.99% don't.
Same with the 911.. An extreme weight distribution problem needs a very specific skill set from the driver.
@@ukwanYea he obviously knows how to drive, at the start I noticed his aggressive turn in with a tap of the brakes to help rotate the rear
@@ukwan this 100%. I've owned several B5 S4's over the years and the key is learning to use that front weight bias to your advantage. Trail-brake late and hard, load that front end with grip and square off your entry as this guy does, full throttle before apex so the boost kicks-in just after, and it will torpedo nicely through corners. You'll be fighting that weight a bit, but it's surprising how much that front can grip with a decent set of tires before it hints at washing out. Made the STI's I've owned feel like toys in comparison.
I used to own a peugeot 106 rallye that was fully stripped and took it on several track days, as there was basically no interior from the front bucket seats back, most of the weight was over the front end, bit it had beautifully controllable lift off oversteer, like this audi driver I would play with, in my cars case, the throttle through corners to step that back end out slightly and get the front to dig it. Was so much fun.
That Audi driver knows his car very well, that really was insane skills 😅
I run an uk S4 avant with K04s (RS6 turbos) has United motorsport 440whp 480w lbf base map plus dynamic setup. Lots of bits added but standard block. Chassis / brakes setup to match power. Having owned built / rallied and raced lots of cars, I would say the S4 is a seriously underrated sleeper! Quickest car I have ever owned.
Love mine too, and mine is only on K03s
Incredible! Notes taken from a 94' UrS4 owner here in the U.S.. Parents owned a BMW shop and raced Tii's. in the 80's. Sold mine in 89' and just got back into cars recently mainly to pass something along to the next generation especially this incredible period in German automotive history. Discovered the 5 cyl. platform which led to choosing the AAN/01E powered UrS4. Been following Misha's channel for awhile now and seen almost every other car under the sun except a 90's Audi sedan. This video confirmed all of my assumptions about it's potential and capabilities around The Ring- can't wait for a feature on one.
@@jdmimportlogistics My first Audi build was a Ur Quattro, circa 1999. I used a motronic Ecu and look from an RS2 and bolted to 10valve. With a cam (copy of works rally) homemade manifolds etc I had very usable 340hp at 1.1bar. I then had a 600hp RS2, UrS4 (kept standard) then early RS4 v8. I hated the RS4 and moved onto a 964 Porsche and build a RS Cup replica. It was astonishing and with life, cars took a back seat until I bought this S4. Modern cars are completely soulless… I could write so much on the subject! Walter Rohrl did some amazing stuff with 90 20v Imsa and 200 10v racers.
So utterly boring to look at though, the designers took some annual leave when they designed it 😂
@@MrCaterhamr500 You know you chose a poor design when the estate is the more desirable option!! 😀
Pretty impressive the S4 held on so well. Hope you can meet up with the driver and see what he has done to the car, it looked like it rotates quite well.
The highest compliment to the car was you just jumping in and driving the doors off of it, with zero feedback about it until the end of the lap, just hauling ass. The owner was so obviously overjoyed at the thrashing you gave it, real car guy.
Yesterday was the 36th anniversary of STI. Good timing Misha.
Awesome timing!
As a b5 Audi enthusiast, this was beautifull
I regard myself as a B/C5 enthusiast having owned all A4,A6 and the Passat of course. 😅 Still missing the Skoda though and since it is Finland, only ever owned the FWDs 😢
B5 S4’s are the goat!
How?
@@USConnexion Did you even watch the lap? Lol
My friend picked up a 2015 S4, the Supercharged 3L one. I was mindblown how fucking quick it was. But it's one of those cars that even if you aren't trying to drive fast, you don't realise how fast you're going. Nice car but we've lost something with newer cars, I'd much prefer an older one. Well at least I'd probably keep my licence a few weeks longer.
@@the.villanI was cruising in an express lane one day and there was a bit of traffic. My brother in the passenger seat started saying to my dad on the phone how these idiots were going 65 when in actuality I was going nearly 100mph even the older ones feel comfortable at those speeds. A true autobahn cruiser.
b8 is the goat silly

S206 multi mode VDC

Special front bumper
Finns on the fender
Lighter hood
Lots of interior dress ups
I'm sure I missed some things
They only made 300 S206 and only 100 of them are equipped with the NBR package.
They made these to celebrate their 24h class win.
Thank you for this! Saved me a google search and a bunch of sifting through bad results.
I’m guessing this version of the STi never made it to the US? 👀
Amazing hardware combo out of the box. 👌 🤤 🇯🇵
@TheTexican05 no, jdm only. Although there's not much s206 left suspension wise the s206 suspension was good, but only took it so far, ive done lots of mods to the suspension and replaced the factory 6 pots with our 355mm 6 pots.. Rest of the car is untouched. Engine is stock too
Here's a run down of the car. I did have it all in my head ready to go but when you have a camera pointed at you it kinda all disappeared. First off the car was down on power compared to last year. Didn't like the fuel and the octane booster we had was crap. (Millers one shot) do not recommend it. Ecu had cut boost so max boost pressure the ecu would allow was 1.2bar instead of the normal 1.5bar. We were using vp fuels octane booster last year and it worked great. The cars a jdm sti s206 I could go into detail about the car but would be easier to google and someone's already posted the spec in the comments. The engine is untouched and completely stock hasnt even been mapped. Only mods to engine is a 42mm koyo alloy rad and my custom 25 row setrab oil cooler with ducting through the fog cover and vented into the wheel arch. Suspension has a few mods, hks hipermax r coilovers with 12/10k rated springs. Front pillow ball anti lift kit, s206 high castor bottom arms. 24mm front roll bar/22mm rear roll bar on medium settings. Fuji racing anti roll bar mount braces to stop lateral movement in the rear bar. Fuji racing adjustable toe arm, cusco adjustable camber arms, solid mount rear subframe. Fuji racing gearbox pitch mount, sti grpN main gearbox mount, billet subframe brace. Fuji racing monoblock 355x32mm 6 pot brake kit, dixcel ra compound pads in the front, dixcel slotted and z compound pads in the rear, 300c+ brake fluid and fuji racing braided brake lines along with a cusco master cylinder stopper. Alignment is 4degrees camber, 0 toe, 6.5degrees of castor up front. 3degrees camber, 0 toe in the rear. The whole point of the build was to make a subaru go round a track all day long and it does that. Already looking at getting it mapped and converting to a flex fuel set up to run methanol so that will sort my fuel issue out. So ill be back again next year (can only come once a year due to work commitments 😭)
Everyone's talking about the S4 (rightfully) but no one noticed the mad lad in the little Boxster with it's top down there at the end!
It’s so nice to see cars return and see the improvements! The temps are great. Awesome video!
I had a b5 s4 upgraded turbos and striped out track set up absolutely loved that car! Glad to see they are still out there crushing it🤙🏼 very underrated car
One of the best videos, so much fun and nice driving 👌
Best video of last months. What a chase with that Audi. Nice, quick Subie too! Great vid!!!
Misha, for me the best and most fun video so far👌👏!
Nice fighting with the s4 driver!
The only thing i missed in a few vid's is an rear camera instellation. For me it's an must have...i think that will be even more fun/action🙏
Greetings from Koblenz🙋
Just a normal german family day🇩🇪
Great video, your driving in the subaru tailing the S4 made it damn entertaining. You guys were pushing both cars proper which is a lot cooler than run of the mill car vids nowadays with everyone just mashin their foot down with paddle shifters and expensive cars. Especially this subie, high personality car and that era S4 is a huge favorite of mine. Love this vid
B5 S4 has a 2.7(2.67) with twin (borg warner) k03 turbochargers. This one likely has k04's but at 330hp claimed by the owner, it could just be stgII-k03. (Chip/supporting mods) The potential these cars have outweigh the lengthy pro/con list :) I owned one for about 6 years.(2001.5 - 6MT) Very nose heavy
stfu with ur nose heavy...only bullshit.
Way more engine potential than my IS350, I thought it had 320-350hp, fun cars 4 sure!
Now you talking out of your a$$. Nobody puts k04 just to claim 330.
You get 330 from the original k03 at stg 1.
The reason you go through the hustle and put k04 is that now you have rs4 power at 380, in a much cheaper s4.
If you throw in supporting mods you are looking at steady 400-420 crank.
Obviously the guy has upgraded the swampy breaks and the horrendous suspension, and with the pair of big basket ball balls he’s got he has a good ring tool 😊
I had one yellow touring, the sound from the ACE competition exhaust was beautiful 🤩
@josefinkjellsson7051 I think you may have misunderstood my comment? Stg1/2 are still k03 cars and can easily see 330hp. Watching the video I assumed it had k04's but noticed the lack of top end those cars produce. That's why i suggested it was just stg2. There was a "stage" called stg3- that was a k04 swap without with proper fueling or supporting mods that would come later on depending on the owners budget. Believe it or not that was a real thing back in the day. I had a borla and piggy pipes on mine. Just silver with a sunroof. But yes the owner definetly has some handling mods done and knows exactly how to aim that heavy nose out of corners.
@@josefinkjellsson7051 stg 1 e85 k03's @0.9/1b for 330hp on mine, if you put k04's you can hit easily 450-460hp.
Misha: He is on it! That one knows how to pedal. Must be close to 500 horsepower in it....
Random Seat: Coming through, get out of my way!
lol.
what a Awesome round as allways thanks Misha and the rest of the team.

So love watching these at work in a little window, but when your eyes caught that S4 it went full screen quick. I would love to see you do a ride along with him and his kids as a passenger.
You need to make a video with that s4. Love this video
Crazy cupra 390-400 hp? Nice one!

@@rednotpanda2409 very nice beast ! :)

That white golf passing at the carousel was v impressive. Disappeared soon after and the sti is fast. Grt video, love it. Ty
i used to own a b5 s4, that 2.7 v6 twin turbo makes wild power. I was making 435 crank torque at 1800 rpm on a tune and stock car. He might have a k04 turbo upgrade in that one.
Of all the high hp and exotic cars you've driven this is the most iv seen your face light up, pure enjoyment in a "low hp" car
3:43 This moment reminded me the famous "Was is´n das für'n Kombi" video 😂😂
So the S4 with 330 HP and 3 people was leaving the 315 HP Sti with 2 people on the straights? Must've been 330 AWHP vs BHP for the Subaru.
It Is crankshaft horsepower for the subie so about 260 at the wheels so it makes sense I've had a Forester with 570 even in the 370whp "low" tune it accelerated like a missile
B5 S4’s make more torque than power usually so not really surprising
Nope, look at the Audi weight, it's one of the lightest cars.
@@etshArk87B5 S4’s are heavy as hell, they’re 3700lbs
That was awesome. You so need to do a run with the S4 driver so we can see more of it, that battle with it was brilliant, hats off to the driver. 👍😎
That was an epic bit of racing by both yourself and the talented s4 driver....awesome to watch! 🙂
New Misha video! Let me get my popcorn ready!
3:58 The Line you took through here was crazy amazing! full tilt! awesome angle!
Very nicely set-up STi. I think I remember this car from your last drive in it.
Around that final section, from RUclips corner to the end, that Scooby is outrageously quick. Great driving as per Misha.
Nice driving of you both 😊. This is really fun 😀.
Thanks for getting a Subie out on track always enjoyable watch.
Mischa you take beautiful smooth lines. Even though you get a lot of practice it’s a joy to watch your skills.
Props to Audi never seen one rotate so well. Usually I can under cut Audi’s when they oversteer but not that driver
That was truly amazing to watch 🙌👌
Best video in a while! I wish that Cupra,S4,Sti together was longer
I was shocked how fast the Cupra was!? Didn’t see him again 😢
@@SalomonX88yea how in the world is that thing so fast
Its actually my Boss who ownes the leon, he has got 390HP
Nice driving as always, the s4 pushes it really, really hard/aggressively in the corners, but not a word from Misha about that nonchalant spider passing by at the little carousel. Misha is not the slowest. Very impressive how Porsche made a convertible so easy to drive and capable of these speeds and handling :O
Reminds me of Back in the day everyone was doin the k04 turbo swap off the rs4 onto them s4
Boyyyy was that s4 moving. I wanna see what Misha can do in it
Probably no better than the s4s driver was doing, he was in the zone squeezing every drop out of that thing.
this driver in audi knows his car very well, perfect funny lap Misha.
I noticed Misha was not revving the car out close to redline at 8000. Is this EJ207 hurt? Even shifting at 7500 would have kept him on the power band, and have some leeway to avoid a money shift. The Audi was bonkers.
Subarus don't really make much power top end but it also sounded like the clutch was slipping high rpm. The rpms should drop when the clutch was engaged but you could see they were shooting up
This was a lovely mini race, loved it.
That scooby was looking tight and precise, great driving misha.
excellent drive, that felt exciting to watch!!

INSANE
Crazy that the VB WRX’s will put down this power reliably with just a quality tune.
Goes to show the engineering improvements from the EJ to the FA24.
The EJ207 does as well. Its just the EJ257 that has always been crap.
Imprezas were making 280bhp in the 90s, I like Subaru's but their engines are stuck in past. Subaru's make the same power they did 30 years ago.
The Golf GTI has doubles it's power in 30 years and the best Subaru could do was 10bhp.
@@user-ue6iv2rd1n Couldn't stop thinking about this though out the race, and how can a modern sti be this underpowered and slow?
@@user-ue6iv2rd1n Emissions getting ridiculous is what stopped them. Add to that Subaru doesnt really have the coin for a proper R&D program and is probs hamstrung being owned by Toyota now

You just taking it easy today Misha, short shifting at 7k. Unless maybe the owner asked you too. Either way nice driving. Seems like a very well set up car.
To see a B5 S4 doing that on the Ring is EPIC.
For those that know... 1. It should be understeering into the Forest every corner...the 01E trans is probably trying to reject every up and downshift...and it appears to be a K04 setup with a shimmed diff to be doing anything like that on corner exit.
That driver knows the B5 chassis as well as the old B5 Challange/Super Touring car drivers. Im blown away by his skill.
Saw a B5, had to watch
I have an impreza sti and an audi a4 b5 Avant myself, great to see 2 legendary cars at the same time.
As a subaru lover and owner I really liked this video. Looks like a great sorted car to have fun with. And great driving as always. Getting the subaru sparkle back a little bit?
Audi S4 top.
After installing a carbon fiber driveshaft in my grb Sti it changes it to such an enjoyable experience like I cannot state how good it is, feels like the tq vectoring works better and the upshift down shifts are chefs kiss better
I had solid mount prop bearing jxb and solid diff mounts but the vibrations here horrid so removed them before Germany. They transformed the car while shifting gears and acceleration was instant with it
Now that was fun to see! :D
Busy day, that S4 driver sent that thing. Reminds me of Senna's driving style for some reason
that last corner looked good 👍🏽
Sehr schön anzusehen, ein Augenschmaus von beiden Fahrern.
greetings from hell de janeiro to nurbur-green hell ! Very consistent performance of subaru and insane rear wheel drive s4
Finally i see smile on Misha's face 😁 he have got some solid competition on the track, otherwise it is already bord for him to do this job 😂... Best regards and take care 👍
Don't know how that audi is rotating so well, maybe the driver. But I always found the B5 platform pretty awesome and they aged well in the correct condition and color.
The B5 chassis was the first multilink in the front Audi chassis after the A8. It has not changed much since then in newer Audis - thus you can pretty much make it handle like you wish. 😅
B5 s4 are no joke…love mine…pushing close to 800hp with v3’s and 18z brakes..
The first multilink after A8. The modern Ingolstadt Audis are not that different when it comes to the chassis, so the B5 you can get really close to any newer Audi.
Reminded me a bit of getaway in stockholm 2 video, the way the Audi driver is driving. Good video that too, if you haven't seen it, guys. Thanks.
Great video, albeit very illegal driving 😅
Hey Misha thank you for using the Air freshener analogy. You make me feel like a proud dad 😂
I've litteraly been smiling the entire video.
Damn I miss my glory days tracking my Audi S2.
Getting sentimental here😂
Finally I can see a B5 in the Nordschleife. I have a similar car and I love it.
You saying it probably overheated, nope, the guy just went a bit chill since he got people in his car.
Please, you should drive an s4 B5, if it's properly tuned, that car is so much fun to drive.
