This was such a brilliant video! I am very interested in trying to simulate texture and grades of tone in my prints and this has been such a help! Thank you very much for taking the trouble to do your tutorials 👏
Test three, try one. Repeat. And then cheat by painting over it afterwards :) I think trying to add tone to the musculature of a horse is a step too far at my level though. But heck, give me another few years :)
The ghost print technique looks a lot like an etching aquatint in the video. Worth experimenting with certainly, esp with different paper textures. I like the bubble wrap effect too. Thanks so much for these!
I'm going to try both of these this afternoon. Wiping away on the horse, cuts for the shading around her feet. Then seeing how I get on with a tree. I'm thinking wipe for the trunk, and shading for the leaves/branches. We'll see!
I learned more useful techniques here in under ten minutes than in many videos that were much longer.
Thank you. That's good to hear 😃

This video felt like a episode of art attack and I loved it.
Yay! Loved Art Attack 😀
All three methods: closeness of cuts/cross-hatching, wipe away, and ghost (I often prefer the ghost print for what I do).
