- Recently I was getting creative in my home studio with some cosmetic product photography and decided to share my retouching workflow of retouching macro lipstick shot with you. I am using different tools to achieve the final result, including frequency separation, colour range, selective colour adjustment, curves and dodge and burn.

Oh my gosh ! I have so much to learn ! I feel so overwhelmed I am only just starting in product photography and photoshop.. . Did you study or learn via free tutorials online? Im stuck feeling all this is so much to learn .

um...good work but just wondering...if it's a product photo shooting...why would you retouch the color of the lipstick, will that end up misleading the purchaser?
Thanks! I actually matched the colours to the original lipstick that I have with me. The camera slightly misrepresents the colours, different colour profile, different light. So yo have to many times match it with your eyes as close to reality as possible.
