Just closed my eyes and said hail Mary...beautiful.
AnToNcHaMp96 yep. Aaron Rodgers gonna throw another one this week? Probably with his luck. Check out my channel for the latest NFL news!
Alex's Sports News He might, but not for the win. D-TX is getting the W.
Staubach > Rodgers
💯
Beautiful
Love it...
What a complete catastrophe. Drew Pearson not in the hall of fame. Better stats than Lynn swan. Some of the most crucial and iconic receptions in NFL history. The first 88. The true Mr.Clutch.
You got that right. Drew was clutch. Most definitely belongs in the HOF. No debate about that.
That first pass from Danny White to Pearson vs Atlanta was crazy. There were literally five defenders around him when he made the catch.
the "Hail Mary" play itself is Hall of Fame worthy. What a crime and T.O has the nerve to cry about first ballot.
@Lava LifeGuard I've read that there's a lot of anti-Cowboy sentiment among the HOF voters. Cliff Harris not in HOF is also a bit of an injustice.
To clarify, I whole heartedly agree with you. The argument against is simply Drew never even lead the Cowboys in receptions or yards, as he was consistently out performed in those categories by Tony Hill. However, as you mention, every catch Drew Pearson made seemed like it was with the game on the line, big moments, just crazy clutch. Now... Let's talk about Tony Hill!
The 1992 NFC Championship Game in CandleStick Park is the greatest Dallas Cowboys game ever
Yes it was. Alvin Harper catch was beautiful 😍
@@abelcastro654 yes it was. What a bullet pass. Had the horse collar tackle been in effect we would have beat them in 82 also. 49ers were more lucky that day. Not better.
1972 also at Candlestick Park against the same 49ers greatest Cowboys comeback ever
Watching this makes me want to cry because it’s so great and I love the cowboys with all my heart🔵⚪️🔵⚪️
Cowboys Nation!!!!! We the original for Hail Mary Pass
TheParadox116 STEELERNATION!!!!!
xxDubstepGamerxx Ammmm so, win vs Chiefs?
TheParadox116 yup.
xxDubstepGamerxx stealers r on the other side of the bracket who u going for on this side Sherlock
TheParadox116 Hell yeah we are cowboys 4 life
I still can't believe the refs didn't think Dez caught that pass
Sw Draco according to the nfl rules he didnt
rushking20 #TerribleTowels ur wrong rules state the ground can't force a fumble
They've applied the rules correctly. The refs did their job.
I still can't believe the Seahawks didn't run the ball
Sw Draco I'm a Cowboys fan and honestly I can't believe it either
That Alvin Harper play against the 49ers. The niner's had the momentum with their home crowd going crazy and Jimmy and the boys took it back from them. That day was the official launching of the 90's Cowboys dynasty in my mind. Those were days, hopefully they will get back one day and soon.
Troy burned that defense to the ground on that play. Perfect timing. Epic
Yes beautiful play. That broke their backs. God that was beautiful
Jimmy showed what he was made of. He came out throwing on 1st down and caught the 49ers by surprise. Great call.
That Bill Bates pick was a seriously emotional moment. Bates busted his ass to get playing time. The first day Jimmy walked into Valley Ranch Bates was in full pads doing pull ups. He worked relentlessly with the strength and conditioning coach pulling against that rubber band to improve his speed. He was the best gunner we had until Kenny Gant took over. I cried like we had won the Superbowl.
Win, lose, or draw......my Cowboys are the greatest team ever!!! 💯✔👍
Preston Pirtle they were
@@jaydubz1918 what you mean they still are
No cap
Preston Pirtle best team to ever live
@@mdx9534 AMEN 2 that my dude!!! 👍
Drew Pearson is long over due to be in the Hall of Fame. He is part of the Dallas Cowboys legacy that help dubbed them "America's Team". It's time to give the man his dues.
America's Team
TheStarOnTheHelmet the one and only
América Is all the continent. 😀😁😂
But the real name of United States is America, the country has the same name of the continent.
That Is a lie, you have lived deceived. América Is a continent. 😂😁😂
ElPervertidode La Clase the continent is America and the country is America too, Mexico for example is United States Mexicans, Brazil called Republic of United States of Brazil, after changed to Federative Republic of Brazil, united states is a complement, not the name. There's the continent America and the country called America.
No country has the name of continent in your name.
The name of United States is America.
This makes me wanna cry man
Im turning 50 soon and I’m afraid this will be the only winning we will ever do.
Im 22... and never saw a Super Bowl with my Cowboys hopefully my dream of Nr6 come true 😔
Big Bubba Believe....
I understand why the hail Mary is #1 but to me the greatest play is aikman to Harper. I'll remember that play forever
That launched the dynasty of the 90s
damn, roger staubach created the hail mary essentially. This is why the cowboys are americas team.
Yes. Captain America. America's team
Aikman to Harper to me is the pivatol moment that brought my boys back into the SB for the first time since my childhood. So yeah that play made me a very happy Cowboys fan.
Absolutely that was a thing of beauty!!!
David Holcomb Absolutely I still remember crying a 9 year old when Joe Montana and Dwight Clark made "the catch". That was the second championship in a row they lost and they would lose a third the next year to the redskins. But the san fran game in 1981 was the only close one. So whe san Francisco came to within 4. I still remember thinking come on emmit just get enough to get those first downs and bam first play the crowd at candlestick goes from superloud to total silence. Nevermind the playoffs in my 40 years as a cowboy fan thats my alltime favorite play.
David Holcomb
I agree hundred% Dave
@@denissullivan5035 That throw from Aikman to Harper still gives me chills. But you are absolutely right about the Montana Dwight Clark catch. I was sick for months after that game. I loved Danny White. Probably one of my favorite all time Cowboy players. I was absolutely obsessed with Dallas during that time. Danny lost his best chance at a Superbowl trophy that year. But then along comes Irving Troy and Emmitt. Man were those guys special. We should have won 4 in a row. That San Francisco game in 94. The 21 point deficit was just to much for our boy's to overcome. I'll still say it today. We were the better team that day. Just unfortunate luck. Like the "Catch" ):
Was lucky enough to be at that game with my son@@terrycrotts2522
My best moment came during Super Bowl 12 When Roger Staubach threw a bomb and Butch Johnson made a diving catch and I was at the game with my late father sitting in endzone seats where the catch took place.
Hell of a game America's team
That is a once in a lifetime experience not many young men can hold dear to their hearts.. especially when it's immediate family. 👍
Wow, and I remember watching every one of these plays live...awesome memories.
No you do not
i hope not.
based on your subscription, it would be terrifying for someone your age to be watching such content on youtube.
The original "Hail Mary"pass from Stauback is great. My favorite moment is that pass to Harper running that quick slant against the 49ers in the NFC championship game in '94 to seal a birth in the SB .
What a thing of beauty!!!
92' season not 94'
Two Dallas Cowboys players that we're Great & did the Intangibles for the team to win Super Bowls! Preston Pearson & Daryl Moose Johnston!!
Many great memories with my family watching most of these games. How I really wish Romo could have got a Super Bowl,...he never had a solid defense like Aikman had.
The last 20 years of the Cowboys have been pretty sad when you back up and think about it maybe the worst 20 yrs of Dallas history.
Forgot Butch Johnson's diving catch in Super Bowl XII & John Finch's trick onside kick to get the ball back in 1972 vs San Francisco. Other than those, good list!
I use to love the Cowboys of the 70s but that love has been gone for a long time.
The single greatest play in Cowboys history is the pass to Harper. Great pass. Great catch and run- all under tremendous pressure and it started a dynasty.
I really feel so bad that Danny White and Tony Romo never made it to the Superbowl. They had some fantastic teams and great chances. It just wasn't meant to be. Both were fierce competitors. Great QBs. Sad. I loved both those guy's so much.
Miss watching Staubach and Aikman...those were true field generals.
Romo a better athlete than both of them
@@joetodoroff1030 . . . but he never embraced being the leader on the field.
@@binkyxz3 Marcus Spears (D-tackle) has repeatedly been quoted that with Romo "we thought we could come back and win" against anyone!!! If that is not leadership, what is?
@@joetodoroff1030 I don't put much value in what a defensive player says about their QB. Romo himself said, "I don't want to be the face of the franchise." He just wanted to be another one of the guys. Aikman used to get in his linesmen's faces and chew them out if needed. Romo would not. I remember before the 2014 season, Garrett made the statement that Romo would be more closely involved in directing the offense. That was his best year, barely losing to the Packers in the "Dez no catch game."
@@binkyxz3 YOU may not find that fact relevant, but look what happens when you have ineffective QBs leading an offense (Ravens, Bucs when they won Super Bowls, going back to old Broncos team when Craig Morton was leading them) they split teams right down the middle.....that quote was from very early in his career, taken out of context.......if Romo had played for Belichick, he would have as many rings as Brady has right now...much better athlete than Brady, as is now evident from his work in the booth, he knew exactly what his reads should have been..........his work in the AFC championship was clairvoyant......you cannot argue that his 4th quarter stats are the very best the game has known; in fact if he had had a defense that Dak now has, he would have won many playoff games, his offensive line from 2010-2013 was worthless........the blame was all on Jerry for not complimenting with talent on both the D and offensive line.......Jerry's knowledge of the game is/was dysfunctional; the only QB that had an advantage on Romo was Aaron Rodgers, he beat us both in 2014 and 2016 by his sheer talent
Robert Newhouse's pass to Golden Richardson should be on this list
Or Butch Johnson's catch.
DAMN I LOVED THE NFL IN THE 90's. BEST GAMES EVER!!! Best players ever!!! I so happy I was able to watch those games as a kid.
I remember number 2. I was watching when Troy Aikman hit Alvin Harper over the middle to defeat The 49ers. That was a great game!
The Harper catch was one of the greatest moments of my sports life
Hopefully we can add another highlight to this list come Sunday. Dez catches a game-winner and it will be called "Dez Really Did Catch it".
i Dallas L
i Dallas W
i Dallas W
i Dallas L
Just like he REALLY did the first time.
There are more haters in the comment section than Cowboy fans.
Will E. ik wth
Will E.
That's how i like it
You either love the Cowboys or you hate them; you are not indifferent. That is why they are America's Team; you are always watching them.
Closet fans
The haters are jealous / their teams have a nice losing tradition to be proud of I'm sure.
Dallas Cowboys 4 LIFE!!!!
I got to see '92 in SF.. to me that will be #1 of all time
I watch this every now and then and get teary eyed. We'll be back on top again, one day.
This is our year!!!!! #COWBOYSNATION
zeke the man
one and done lmaoooo
Choke to packers
It wasnt bro :( maybe 2019
Ou Sooners nope
AIKMAN TO HARPER WAS ALWAYS MY FAVORITE . “8 to 80 AND THE CROWD GOES CRAZY” 🏈 !!!!!! HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS
"I just closed my eyes and said hail Mary"
Butch Johnson’s TD catch in super bowl XII.
NFL quit showing that replay. Probably because it wouldn't be considered a catch in the current rules.
Crazy
Bob Lilly's sack of Bob Griese is a Super Bowl record that still exists.
Damn I love the Dallas cowboys but it sucks seeing that all these moments are old. They need to start winning play off games and create new memorable moments
He's still called 2 nicknames to this day (Staubach).. Captain Comeback.. and Roger The Dodger..
Period.
Go cowboys! Been a fan since I was little growing up in Fort Worth...
When they started staubachs 72 comeback with the music it gave me chills👌 .
For sure! Many wonderful and thrilling musical edits from the genius of NFL Films and Steve Sabol and his father who started it all, filming the old AFL.
Greatest team of all time 🏈🔥🔥
896 F Flat. The play that started the 90's Dynasty!
1970 both playoff victories, 1973 vs rams, 1975 nfc champion game, 1978 both playoff games are all above the wildcard vs bears and lions. Or Neil O’Donnell’s gift interception.
All I want for Christmas is to see them win 1 playoff game this year
I want to see them win 4 plaxoff games
@@double00shotgun 3
if they only win 1 the seasons another fail. nfc championship or bust
The restoration and colorization of this OLD footage is fantastic..
So sad they don't use Pat Summerall and John Madden for the commentary for their 1990s playoff games.
what about Hollywood Henderson 63 yard int return vs Rams in NFC championship?
I remember that play...and dunking the ball through the goal post. But that game wasn't close. 28-0. Avenged an earlier loss in the regular season.
Washington's fumble return for a TD against Buffalo that turned the tide of the game.
Emmitt scoring on 4th and goal from the 1 in the 4th quarter to give the Cowboys the 27-13 lead sealed the victory in Super Bowl XXVIII
I can't stop watching this it's so good
Dez Bryant was such a prima dona. On #9, he wasn't thrown the potential game winning TD, so he just walked away and didn't bother to congratulate Williams.
Pleaseeeee one more ring before I die 😭😭😭😭
As much as I was an enormous fan of Bill Bates, the former bully of the schoolyard, I think Ken Norton, Jr’s goal line stuffing of Kenneth Davis in the first Super Bowl against the Bills was more rewarding of being on this list.
Did you hear what he said at number 7? "That Cowboys offense in wearing that Packers defense out". This Sunday the same thing will happen again!!! Cowboys for life!!!
haha that's what I thought about the clip is predicting the out come this Sunday wearing the green bay defense out
The greatest franchise in sports history! America's Team!
We're gonna $hit down the Green Gay Slackers throat yet again on Sunday Night. #RevengeFor2014Playoffs! #DezCaughtIt! #WeDemBoyz!
ikr
New England has surpassed us; Belichick and Brady have been to 8 Super Bowls (as many as we have gone to between Landry and Jimmy), while Jerry and his family have led this team into oblivion
*_And the " Hail Mary Pass " was born ...._*
I guess I remember that Emmitt run (#7) differently. I always thought there was only two minutes or so remaining and that clinched the game. There was still over nine minutes left.
DALLAS COWBOYS FOR LIFE 🤠💙🏆
(it doesn't matter when you read it)
America team!! One day the Dallas Cowboys will win the Super bowl. And fans every where will celebrate. 🥳 🎉 🪅 🎊 🍺 🥰🤠😭😱💯🏈
rookie demarcus lawrence with the game sealing sack-strip-recovery vs detroit in the 2014 playoffs after recovering a previous fumble and losing the ball actually brought tears to my eyes. at that time, i had been a dallas fan for 37 years, and never before or since can i remember being so overcome by emotion. just such sweet, wonderful redemption.
Love the cowboys but pleaseeeee one more super bowl before I die 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Gilbert Juarez sorry to say but Looks like Jerry Jones doesn’t want any more Super Bowls in his fingers. 24 years since the last Super Bowl ,that’s a way long time for cowboys fans who were alive.Jerry is responsible for the drought.
One of the greatest teams in the NFL my favorite team Dallas cowboys win or lose they are still my team come on Zeke come on dak come on cooper we have a chance to go to the super bowl this year
Take out the Larry Brown fluke play and put in Roger to Drew for 84 yds against the Rams in the Divisional Round in 1973.
Alvin Harper was a beast in the game Amari Cooper like that with on catch changes the outcome
Thanks 😷🧤 Please make the Cowboys great again....
I LOVE the Dallas Cowboys !!!!
Love this video!
And thus was born the "Hail Mary" pass. It started with Captain Comeback himself.
2018 is the Year of the Cowboys
Where is leon lett getting stripped inside the 5 on a fumble recovery by that don bebee guy??? That was a great Dallas Superbowl highlight
# 1 is the Harper Catch hands down... That launched the Cowboys on the road to greatness and they didn't look back. No play compares. That's the real #1 and the real "The Catch" (Not Montana's throw away lucky catch.)
YEAH BUDDY, DALLAS COWBOYS!!!!
So, Roger Staubach coined the phrase, Hail Mary? Just did a Bing search: Yes
Dallas cowboys must do this in 2021
Like they say, You mess with the one of us, you mess with all of us
Ah, the good ol' days
Drew finally in hof. All we have left is these great memories. 25 years of futility. It just continues. The head coach isn’t on the conference call interview with the future #1 draft pick. Stephen won’t be any better when he takes over for Jerry, he’s a penny pincher.
GO COWBOYS!!!!! forever and ever☆☆☆🏈🏈🏈
What about Butch Johnson's TD in Super Bowl 12?
No kidding. That should be on the list more than any Romo era post season play.
I wonder who decided to add a goal post in the middle of the endzone.
MAN, WATCHING THE BEST MOMENTS OF MY DALLAS COWBOYS MAKES MY DAY!😀🙂😇😎😎💯
Today i don't care if the Cowboys win or lose I know this game will be a classic.
And it all can be done again this year. GO COWBOYS
Cowboys for life
Much Love for u Rodger / u made me a cowboy fan for Life 😘😍👍😎😎😎😎
Drew’s catch in 73 against the rams. Butch Johnson’s catch in super bowl 12, Danny white touchdown to Jackie Smith against the falcons in 78, aikman bomb to Alvin Harper against GB in 94 are missing.
What is your favorite moment in Cowboys playoff history?
NFL DEZ caught it
NFL All the losses against the giants
NFL wrong call against DEZ
Dez Bryant non catch as a Packer fan
Packers Highlights539 Ha u funny 😂 dez caught it there is so much proof
In the Bears' Wild Card Game, I recall some tight end for Chicago, in a losing effort, almost carried the team making catches while taking a beating from the defense. Like the Ram's receivers getting lit up by the Patriot DB's in the SB.
Drew should be in The Hall of Fame.
Dak’s run against seattle should be on this list
Drew is underrated
Soy fan de los vaqueros saludos desde Morelia 👍
I LOVE MIS VAQUEROS COWBOYS FOR EVER . . I LOVE TEXAS . HY FROM MEXICO . LETS GO MIS VAQUEROS SUPERBOWL 2021 OR 2022 OR 2023 . . I DONT KNOW . FOR EVER MY TEAM FAVORITE
