Distortions turning into Abnos happened in Leviathan. (The Ring maestro turning into Schadenfreude)

You can actually see one of the locomotives in the outskirts in the postgame title screen flr Library of Ruina, W Don mentions them in her UT3 story, amd you can see the tracks drawn on the map of the City on the Limbus Promotional Website.
The monolith from the Blade Lineage Event is also likely the “boxes that can manufacture distortions” from Distortion Detective. Given their design, shape, and function, I imagine they are like the ones Binah used to create abnormalities.
I thought about adding the second bit to the script, but I ended up cutting it since it technically wasn’t new info.
in leviathan one of the chapters that wasn't translated a ring maestro first distorted then when Vergilius manifested EGO(his power was to see multiple worlds at the same time and use knowledge gained from those world to basically see the future, but when vergilius used EGO no matter what world he looked at all he saw was his own death) he fell into despair again except this time schadenfreude exploded out of his distorted form.
This is true, however we still don’t know the exact circumstances of Distortions -> Abnormalities. Are they always preexisting abnormalities, or does the distortion itself become a whole new abnormality. Perhaps we should have let Kim finalize that transformation so we could get more info.

@@DMrLeedsDistortion detective talks about this a bit, Abnormalities don't have to be distortions but distortions that become abnormalities are basically just distortions that get too out of hand, they don't have a specific point where they become abnormalities, it's kind of just when they hit the point of no return.

I wanna add here that around the current point of distortion detective, Dias basically sent the distortion detective group on a chase to find a bunch of different distortions and bring them to her, so since Moses and the gang work for limbus, I imagine Dias is probably high up in the company too, and I imagine faust might have some connection to her as well. also. that point in the story takes place around the point the library is an urban legend. So pretty early. Limbus takes place after library of ruina AND leviathan had happened so it probably takes place at the very least a few months after distortion detective, meaning I am very much looking forward to what kind of developments happened in between distortion detective and limbus with the Moses gang

Jun brings up the important of having a way to tell time in T corp and Caiman has a pocketwatch. I wonder what reason being in T corp would require a timepiece
My guess is that, due to the smoke and color drainage, telling the time by looking at the sky is basically impossible in t corp

Apparently timepieces are a form of identification, probably personalised to a single individual.
They’re also used sort of like a purse, containing the ‘time’ of a person (not sure if it’s like your own time or something like company credits?).
It should be noted something important, as Blade Lineage meursalt shows just because you are a feather doesn't mean you are safe and you are subjected to the wing's insanity no matter who you are.

Iirc Vergilius also brings up the flow in canto 0, when he says it can’t be stopped before chopping up lion and wolf. He sure likes his flow
If distortions can "level up" and become abnormalities it makes me wonder if E.G.O users can "level up" and become something similar to an abnormality.

that's EGO Corrosion bruh. the mind of the User cant keep up with the psyche of the abnormality so they are overwritten by said Abnormality themselves. self-formed EGO devolved into Distortion if their mental fortitude waver and then devolve into an Abnormality if their mind broke down when they Distorted
The fact the Moses gang which pressumably still includes YuRia works for Limbus might explain why their EGOs work so differently, specially the base EGO of the sinners. If they have manifested their own EGO, why cant they use it all the time?
Well, YuRia just so happens to create a method to force people to temporarily manifest EGO in a very limited form, first seen with Ezra
And that lines up pretty well with what we see in Limbus
I’d be quite happy if that turned out to be the explanation
There's also EGO pages in Ruina though, which work very similarly to Limbus EGO. It might just be similar to Angela's method in the Library.

EGO pages are certainly the closest, but they arent an exact match, as EGO in Limbus seems to have a much greater effect in the user than in LoR
@@oatmeal3919 Besides, Angela could do so because of the light and... Well, Limbus aint got that (before you say the Golden boughs could be responsible, take into account base EGO are usable from the start, before we get our hands on any of those)
@@thaumoking9947 at the same time, golden boughs are quite clearly related to the power of our EGO. Dante's notes say that higher Threadspinning tiers became possible due to collecting the boughs, iirc. Maybe headquarters had one or more boughs before the start of the story already?

The information of distortions being able to turn into an abnormality is actually a continued concept explored in Binah's dialogue with Roland on the 3rd and 4th episode.
Tiphereth explains in the 4th episode that the process is eerily similar to how abnormalities were made in L corp. Roland suggests that abnormalities are the ones that surface when a distortion happens. In Angela's realization in the floor of Art, Roland does think the form Angela took reminds him of the pianist.
It's interesting to see that both Binah (if what Roland suggests in his 4th meeting with her about man's "true forms") and Adam (from L corp) speak in the same manner as Carmen regarding abnormalities: both have agreed that abnormalities represent the true nature of man.

You’ll notice that Kim’s distortion seemingly share similarities to Crumbling Armor (LobCorp). Afaik he also has a small metal oni-like mask that was starting go form. I guess if he turned Abno, it would’ve been something like the Korean version of Crumbling Armor.
For ke his theme is Azura Deamon.

Thus having him relish in the blood (wining) lower his SP, basicly distorting him further, while containing it
I thought it resembled more Big and Will be Bad Wolf, fitting since what I gathered about his distortion, it’s basically about him believing that he can’t change, and not matter what he’ll stay as a common backstreets murder, eventually degrading into a mindless beast obsessed with bloodlust and common violence

This explained a lot why kim wass going to turn into a distortion. He wanted to save his students, but his distortion reflect his failures not his desire

I remember Soul Edge/Blade (actually the first Soulcalibur; Title varies by country) changed Mitsurugi to a blonde English Arthur (with a katana , *ARTHUR* XD ) because Samurai are outlawed in Korea (I learned WHY later)
But this games are Korean, and there was a very katana-based event?
So did they let that go, or was the Soulcalibur thing a bit excessive atbthe time??
the Blade Lineage(Sword Society) dont use katana, they are similar shaped swords but they are not katana. they're called the Hwando. and the Blade Lineage themselves are Korean Swordsmen

Little bit confusing why we have two 5.5 chapters instead of one 5.4 and then 5.5 it's not a problem but it's interesting at least to me.
Try to think of it as 5.5 part one and part two. You can even see this in the way the levels are numbered going into blade lineage.
