Okay, the “aging bomb” mentioned cannot be made by t corp, as in lob corp, abel said that t corp does not rise to be a wing until AFTER lob corp (the new l corp) invested in it. Which put that specific singularity squarely after the smoke war
it may be that the current g corp and current t corp have teamed up with lobotomy corp to overthrow the former t e g corp
basically the old g corp and old t corp were on the side of the old l corp
@@rafaelportugal483 not specifically. We know old g corp, l corp, e corp and f corp were on the same side, lob corp, i corp, k corp and R corp (whether it is only the fourth pack or the whole wing, we don't know) on the other. We don't know if the old t corp ever took a side in that conflict
Maybe its a technology that was invented before the smoke war, not a singularity but contributed enough that L corp elevated T corp with it too after the war is over
However we do also know that Wings often buy out each others' Singularities or lower-tier technologies, so it could have been a precursor product of the rising soon-to-be T Corp or something derived from technologies that went on to be T's.
On the topic of The City’s population, we know from Leviathan that extra-dimension spaces and storage exist in The City. I would wager that there exists pocket dimensions used for housing which is why The City can have such a large population. We also do not know how big Z Corp’s Nest is and what population exists in there.
We need to clarify that E.G.O Equipments and E.G.O are vastly different. For one, E.G.O Equipments, just like their names, are pretty much equipments you can wear or/and use to harness a power of the Abnormality which Lobotomy Corp extracted from Abnormalities to turn into equipments with the use of their Singularity.
E.G.O on the other hand is something manifested from someone's mind. E.G.Os are directly linked to one's feelings and emotions, hence why they can use it without training. Furthermore, it is hard to manifest and if you are using an Abnormality E.G.O and not your own E.G.O that you manifested, there is a risk of E.G.O Corrosion.
The reason why Ebony Stem E.G.O and the Abnormality have different levels is because, as stated, it links more to an individual's heart and how it relates to them. A good example is Yi-Sang and Rodion's 4th Match Flame being different risk levels.
Distortion and Corrosion are two different things as Distortion only happens if your E.G.O is unstable and you succumb to your negative emotions rather than being on terms with it. Corrosion is what happens if you lack the necessary prerequisites to use the Abnormality E.G.O and Corrodes you and turns you into an Abnormality Distortion, basically the same with E.G.O equipments assimilating with you. These prerequisites are sanity and personal virtues.
Here's something else that's really easy to miss.
The 3 purple goons have rings of light around their weapons as they attack, something we saw Vergilius use in Leviathan to kill the docent in the corridor. It seems to take power from the mind, by tapping into painful memories for Vergilius in his case, he makes use of the sense of loss, what he calls "power of sin" and more specifically "Shin", to essentially amplify his attacks even further, he described his leg enhanced by the circles of light to essentially make it feel like they had no weight to it, despite exploding the Docent's chest with the kick. He also made it sound like he can control how many rings of light he can summon for it, and the more rings there are, the more power it's gonna be.
He also said he learned it from "her", and considering the goons know of it, safe to assume he learned it from purple tear. Most likely this is a new phenomenon available after the library shined it's light in the city, along with the cocoons, but we have no real confirmation yet.
Also another curious thing, CHAPTER 3 ENDING SPOILERS
Demian can also use the power of the rings on light. He summons an insane amount of them with a wave of his hand, on top of some being gigantic, to obliterate Kromer in a single swing.
Definitely one of the bigger mysteries we have on our table right now.
My personal theory is that Shin (whose rendering can be read as "new moon", also referred to individually as Mang, or alternately as Lunae, which I prefer) is a power which manifested from the Light after the second Tree of Light was released. In Leviathan, Carmen tells Vergillius that Distortions are a power born from her ideals of how the Light should be used, and E.G.O. are something created by Ayin's preferred interpretation. This new power of Lunae is, in my opinion, created by Angela's interaction with the Light, since she did release it for seven days before Roland pulled her out. That's way more than Ayin did, and he still gets to create E.G.O. The biggest evidence I have for this is in Poems for a Machine. In the ending of Library of Ruina, Angela gives up on her blind desire for revenge at the cost of the people in the City, and decides to try and break the larger cycle encompasisng them, even though it'll leave her wish to become human and take revenge on Ayin unfulfilled. What does she say while describing that? That she'll "pretend I don't need golden rings", AKA the sins which drove her to murderously and single-mindedly pursue revenge. She also mentions phases of the moon with no correlation to anything else in the lyrics, but that's a lot less obvious than specifically calling out Lunae. It's possible that each person's interaction with the Light produces a power they can't have themselves; Carmen is still wrapped up in 'saving' others by driving them to Distort or allowing them to manifest E.G.O., in contrast to Distortions which are worlds unto themselves without a need to perceive what exists outside them, Ayin lost any trace of his human form for the sake of realising his goal and as punishment for his crimes (and also stripped that form he esteems from all his friends), and Angela let go of her sins for the sake of a future where hope exists.
Demian, who is seemingly a master of using this power of sins, uses seven Lunae, seven golden rings, in his attack against Kromer, so I also think it's linked to the power that Sinners use to manifest E.G.O., and that the Sinners will all learn to manifest them at some point in the story. Personally I hope it'll be a new progression system for them, maybe either the kind of mechanic which majorly boosts specific older IDs or a per-Sinner upgrade tree which would affect every ID of a specific Sinner.
Also, if we're discussing theories, the Sinners' own E.G.O. aren't actually ones they awakened themselves, hence why people like Rodya can use them without self-actualisation. They're all artificially induced like that of Ezra in Distortion Detective using technology Limbus Company got its hands on somehow, which is why their base E.G.O. all have that white and red-striped pattern on their clothing somewhere.
@@thecamelchannel1467 To be fair Ayin has been dissolved in the light along with Carmen ever since the end of lobcorp, while Angela had a MERE 7 days.
Something interesting I noticed while replying through the beginning of the game is that Dante seems to vaguely recognize terms like Fixer but explicitly says that the name Dante sounds completely unfamiliar. I’m pretty sure Dante must be a fake name given to him by the company, possibly to hide his real identity?
Quite possibly. Might be something lost in translation, but it could also be their real name as PM loves their wacky book people recreating their grim dark take.
A point to corroborate yours is that the trio at the beginning never call him Dante sooooooo it's still possible! You'd think your hunters would at least know the name of their target.
I do love the small things limbus adds to in its story the pure blink and you'll miss it is a sight to see
wow the purple accents in the prologue gang's clothing really started popping after you pointed them out
It’s crazy what’s obvious to some people but not to others. The purple is the first thing I noticed, but I’m sure lots of other things I missed were obvious to others.
@DMrLeeds to be fair I think I was just seeing red from all the hype of release day loool
They are literally the pepole working for yin sang
I think the abno's turning into eggs was a scrapped idea they couldn't fully implement into lobotomy corporation, similar to how there was a supposed oz raid boss idea or abnos like the silent girl or servant of wrath that were later shown in ruina
I’d thought Faust’s mention that thinking you need a tongue or vocal cords to speak is anachronistic was because of how the prosthetics work, since you can have speakers installed, and there’s also the Sweepers who can speak it’s just that nobody else without a universal translator can understand them
Edit: Also one of Project Moon’s old Q&As apparently said each District is the size of an average European country, which would mean the City is a third the size of Australia, so either the City uses spatial expansion a lot or it was retconned
Quite possibly. It makes sense when you put it that way. I was just lost in the Faust speak.
So about the population density, it's possible that it's so high because there's probably a lot of underground populated areas( as we have seen with both lobotomy corporation, and the index transcript factory; they have the technology to construct massive underground facilities); as well as some impossibly high sky scrapers ( or maybe froating residential areas).
It's also possible that, with the time- space distortion technology that exists in the city, some buildings are just exponentially bigger on the inside than the outside, due to some " compressed space fuckery *tm* .
"and a canon side event to dig through for juicy details" like the juicy details aren't don getting salmonella and meursault dropping bars
I didn’t even noticed some of these stuff this was awesome!
That’s what it’s here for! Glad it was helpful!
Wait... isn't Faust the only Sinner to have an LCR ID?
Twist a few facts around and you get the Faust we see on the bus, who's to say that that ID wasn't hitting a little closer to the head than expected?
The game is so full of twists and turns it wouldn’t surprise me.
Faust being the only one (currently) to have a LCB identity is actually what sparked my theory way back at launch.
LCR?

@@Gr3n1nja05 Stands for Lobotomy Corporation Remnant
Thank you for your videos !!
Hm?
Moon Taker?
I'd like to see that.
Elden Taker lookes awesome, after all!
I wanted to know more about who or what the narrator are in ID abnormality uptier story.. cause it(the narrator) called LC remnant faust also as it's child while it called other id with simply "the child". Looking from how the narrator words used in it narrative we could get hint :
- the narrator isnt always supernatural atleast from LCR faust, it was had its own body?.
- the narrator is a being that watched and saw all of the mirror worlds.
- its know personally about lobotomy corporation with hint of told us that LC remnant faust as "my child".
- its older but how old?(coming from how its called everyone the child).
- its also entity from the city.
The theory i could gather of who or what the narrator is:
- Ayin, Reason : LC was built after carmen death so its logical that all of LC staff and employees are his "child" and one of ayin mirror self in LC was Abraham which is older than other of his mirror self and wiser.
- Carmen, Reason : carmen is sometimes called as the mother of abnormality after her death, and she always in the light watching over everyone in the city while pull some string here and there, just like how she pulled the string on angela in her realization in ruina where carmen KNOWS and IMITATE the past angela to make and question the current angela so she gonna change her will... From this we could tell that person who converse with people on the edge of distorting was her imitating the past of said person memories and personality or said person trauma or even said person dearest depend on what the person trauma connected with (its the same ability like how oswald did to philip).
- Real self dante, Reason : we only see that the narrator is appear only to narrate id background stories that isnt in main story but we never encountered the narrator's narrative in main story instead we get monologue and dante narrative perspective, also dante is still mystery but the problem is because LCR faust story... If the narrator and dante is the same entity then dante had deep connection with LC... But who was dante in LC higher echelon?. So dante is really low candidate.
- LC singularity becoming sentient or it always has been?
- the city itself..
Dang the problem with my theory is that it anchored by LCR faust story... Cause only her story had huge hint for who exactly the narrator is.
I’m pretty confidant it’s Carmen, but that’s just my own thoughts. I’ll be sure to bring it up when I do the season one characters episode!
@@DMrLeeds yeah that why... Im really interested for future story... Btw fyi.. on mili song for xiao "iron lotus" there a lyrics that does had connection with how carmen does her job to make people go distort or manifest ego...
The lyrics
Flower of iron
Shrivelled up to hide the imposter in me
"Hey, why did you leave? Why did you leave?"
Don't let those words out of me
Imposter's about to speak
So I chewed on Huameitang
So the song also give us hint before angela realization release that carmen always using the person self image as an act as mirroring other making them thinking they are talking to themselves while in reality they arent... On other stories devil/demon sometimes mimicking its victim body and act or talk like them so the victim will become even more doubtful of themselves of their own decisions and will.
Back to limbus.
Considering our sinner haven't fully manifest their own ego and we havent reached yet the story where carmen will took action.. but i think dante's chain has something to do with how sinner couldn't fully manifest their ego... But i think the chain is keeping them to meet carmen. Dang all this theory and possibilities made me more interested 😂.
You forgot about apocalypse Bird and it's eggs.
True they have eggs as part of the theme, but I wouldn’t call that Apoc Bird turning into an egg when dealt with.

So i think the old g corp stands for genetics.
Nah, just Gross.

Isn't there canon fixer rank 8? i believe it was told by vergilius before going into the Lcorp substation
He was speaking about the guides. Aya and the dirty boy are grade 8.
9:42 if i have to think Limbus take place somewhere over 10 years after the true ending of Ruina because of Leviathan comic.
The thing that happened 10 years before Leviathan was Garnet leaving the orphanage, not the thing related to Ruina; that happened much closer to Leviathan (a few months before it iirc).
@@del8556 didnt Tomarry got dropped in the orphanage because Angela release the light back to the city randomly.
@@anthonynguyen2661 Yeah, I'm saying that's what Garnet's referring to when he says "I wasn't much help in the orphanage incident half a year earlier", and not what Vergilius is referring to when he says "he's still as impatient as he was ten years ago". Both quotes are from chapter 3 of Leviathan if you want to check for yourself.
@@del8556 so the 10 years was when he leave the place , but here what tickle my brain he also said that him and Lapis was there barely made it out alive when the incident happend and i dont see any young adult looking character in the frame.
@@anthonynguyen2661 There's not really an answer for that, since you're right that none of the orphans in chapter 1 look like Garnet. It might be a minor retcon, it might be that Garnet was just somewhere out of shot at the time, or it might be that he was one of the orphans with long black hair and got a haircut. We can't really be sure though.
I assumed that limbus company was the company that took the place of the fallen lobotomy corp, since have the L in the name
That could hold ground on Limbus being hinted at being larger than the LCB crew, as Faust mentions it was for the Company, not for the sinners, implying there is more than just the 12 we see on the bus
It's entirely possible. I know that was a major theory before the game came out. I personally don't find it to be true as if we had access to a Nests resources we would have a clear Singularity, a Nest to return to if needed (I imagine they would use it like a home base) and oodles more resources per mission. We see what K-Corp and N-Corp are capable of throwing around at the moment. So much more funding than what our sinners have.
@@DMrLeeds And yet Vergilius mentions again and again, that he does not accompany the sinners anywhere to "make it a challenge", so here's some wack theory, what if the newest L corp is LCB BUT it's much more secretive, almost as potentially working as hitmen for more... politically demanding jobs. Hence why Vergilius can't just grab the boughs himself, as they are to train the LCB over just for their obtainment
Could just be not me not playing Ruina yet but just a thought
I think it's more likely that Limbus Company is planning to, if they end up getting enough Golden Boughs and rise to power, try to take the place of the fallen L Corp
Great video!
One thing to note though ia that Dante is always referred to as a they, not a he.
Small not really spoiler from chapter 3
...
Vergil told Dante that he used to be a big shot, so i guess the part of Rodion saying Dante hearing he was a big shot is either true, or Rodion heard it from Vergil and is lying. Dont know but up for interpretation, or take it as is.
Maybe Dante is Manager X
Something to note for future Limbus videos: they/them pronouns are used in the game when referring to Dante.
