Well, not exactly... Charles was in love with Camilla before he married Diana but she was deemed "unsuitable" and married someone else while he was away. Charles was DEVISTATED. Then, a jaded, heartbroken Charles married a young, needy and naïve Diana, with, admittedly, the best of intentions. Diana shared none of his interests, was mentally unstable, found him boring and, eventually, SHE began having numerous affairs. When it became obvious that the marriage was over, Charles resumed his relationship with Camilla and the rest is history. To heap all of it at Prince Charles' feet is, at the very least, incredibly unfair. He wasn't beautiful and sympathetic, he didn't tell all to the media and he didn't dab at his eyes continually so people, being what people are, sided with Diana. If Charles and Camilla did wrong, then my goodness, they've paid for their sins.
Charles never ever left Camille she was even at their wedding like why what for? Charles was on the phone with her the night before the wedding why?? He just used Diana to have children & Camilla was married & had her own children & where are they now?
hanjoys no affair of Diana’s could EVER be earlier than the one Charles had with Camilla that began BEFORE the wedding, so that is solely on them. Also, it is very easy to blame the “mentally unstable “ Diana, but Charles and his family are no example of healthy family dynamics (daddy issues, unsuccesful marriages...). I dont buy this whole “doomed love/ poor little rich boy” narrative of CharlesxCamila. I believe he was completely aware of everything he was doing amd all the pain he could potentially cause a third party
Whatever one's sentiments are about royalty, this woman has lived through such difficult times but has always behaved with impeccable dignity.

Unfortunately, this Video did not give a balanced view of Diana's and Charles's marriage but was bias because it took the stance that it was Diana who had the problems and was the reason for the marriage's demise. For example, the presenter said, "Diana had problems settling down in the marriage" or your interviewee said that Diane had immense difficulty in settling down. You never mentioned about how Charles also had tremendous problems settling down in the marriage. For example, it was Charles who was the first to commit adultery before Diana - and was, as has been reported by other documentaries - sleeping with Camilla even the night before he got married to Diana. It was he who brought the third woman into the marriage and was the main cause of the marriage breakdown. As Diana said in her interview with Mr. Dimbleby, "our marriage was overcrowded." That's why I have concluded that this documentary is biased on the side of Charles and made by the Establishment and the friends of Charles to portray Charles and Camilla in a good and unreproachable light - sorry, but this is shameful on your part - documentary makers.

I can believe Charles slept with Camilla before the wedding but believe after that he tried his best to make Diana happy and with no luck.

Diana chose to cheat.
She also chose to have a book done, as well as recording the Bashir interview behind the Queen's back.
She didn't want her marriage to work.
She wanted to see Charle's reputation ruined so he would abdicate, allowing William to be King, but that is not the way succession works.
You don't get to choose.
Diana was about destroying Elizabeth's Court and she was stopped by her Majesty's secret service, MI6.

Past is past it is not forgotten it is unchanged and so now you have a divorcee for Consort the third wheel who caused problems the same situation untoleraed by the Queen Mum Queen Mary Edward VIII. ERROR: Charles was not a widower, he was a divorced person. If had died while they were still married or before the divorce decree was granted, then he would have been a widower, but Diana died AFTER the divorce.

The image of Her Majesty and the Royal family has never faltered one inch in my mind and eyes
Honestly though, I think what sets Elizabeth II apart from other kings and queens is the fact that she was never meant to be queen in the first place. So instead of being groomed for the part from day 1, she instead had a typical (but upper-class) upbringing and then very little time to properly prepare, so she has gone with her gut feelings her entire reign instead of what was forced into her head.
QE2 was 10 years old in 1936 when her uncle King Edward VIII abdicated. It was fairly well accepted her mother would not have any more children so at that point she was the heir presumptive. There was about 15 years for her to learn the ropes from her father before he died in 1952.

It is NOT true that "technically Charles was a widower." The divorce had already been finalized before Diana's death, so "technically," Charles was a divorcé, not a widower.

I think that since the church of england does not recognize divorce, as far as they were concerned Charles and Diana's divorce was irrelevant, so they consider him a widower. I'm sure that was a bit of spin-doctoring so there would be no question of Charles taking the throne.

I doubt the reason Princess Kate has been treated differently to Diana and Sarah Ferguson was out of kindness, or realising they were treated poorly and given little training. It will be so that the Queen won't have the embarrassment (as she perceived it) of Diana and Sarah 'misbehaving' and causing a fuss. Her advisors will have spotted that potential rerun of history and stepped in for a different outcome.

She will be remembered as the last great Monarch in the UK. Her biggest mistake will be allowing the press so much access to the point where the press help in the Monarchies downfall. There will be King Charles and William but the monarchy will fade into the background and be more like other European royalty. Just a shadow or place keeper of something from the past. It could have been managed better. Monarchy is a great tourist draw for the UK but "the Firm" has not managed things well.
I just can't understand the shame of divorce, I think it's a mature decision if two adults don't work together and part.

It is often stated that the crown must accept what her government presents to her, and thus she had no alternative. However there are most ways than one of skinning a cat. If she had told Heath that she would give her assent provided that he stated in parliament that he was asking her to break her coronation oath to protect, preserve and hand on to her successors the sovereignty of the nation, then and only then would she give her assent. She would not be refusing her assent, merely placing the onus on Heath.
Heath would not have admitted he was giving the nation to the EU's control, so the bill would not have been returned to the palace.
