The raft of Shmee, RUclipsrs etc who head to these car launches and give their "review" where all they scream & shout for 10 mins and only offer good words, they have no expertise in proper driving dynamics to offer anything worthwhile to say and its a shame its taking over from proper journalism.
Alot of professional car journalists are dead boring, yes they have to be objective but they are very very boring. Matt Watson, Rory Reid and Henry Catchpole are the best because they balance between entertainment and facts
Is Chris a proper motoring journalist anymore ???? He seems to think he still is but let's be honest here he's left that world behind and is now a TV presenter in the entertainment section hosting a slapstick TV show with a vague car theme. Presenters strapped to the roof of a Bentley. An ice cream van with tesla batteries and a mash potato machine. Living in a car for 24hrs in Bolton and weeing yourself whilst aiming for a she wee (a what ???) Deliberately wrecking numerous hire cars. Deliberately wrecking press cars. None of those things are journalism. And he wonders why he isnt getting invited to car launches anymore.
@@th3b0untyhunter I get what you're saying but that's just a show. It's just that Chris doesn't have the reputation and personality of the big 3 to get away with it.
This was without doubt (in my opinion) one of the best RUclips sit-down car debates I have ever watched, I throughly enjoyed every minute and the fact it lasted 1 hour, time just flew by. Both you guys were open and candid which we need more of these days, Chris is an absolute legend and speaks his mind in a professional way. Great video and your content is awesome, thank you for taking the time to create this video! Keep up the great work!
Never seen or heard of your channel before, came here for Chris Harris and got a wonderful interview. As you said not so much a debate or poking fun at a car you’ve ordered but asking the real questions people have in their heads and don’t broadcast. I hope we are all able to keep cars we enjoy and drive them for many years to come. Good work!
Have you guys noticed? As the new topgear is getting better and better, chris is helping new youtibers to gain subscribers by giving them interviews. What a kind gesture.
Chris is like the dude who invented the warp drive from that star trek movie. He just wanted to go fast, listen to trashy rock music and get drunk afterwards - while the rest of the world built statues and named universities in his honor. :D
Firstly great interview. Tell Chris he is the number one. Knows his stuff. Isn’t afraid to tell it like it is, and boy can he drive. RBR is an influencer, to a point. I ordered a 992 C2. I was uncertain as to whether it should have been an S. Having seen your excellent review of the C2, it gave me the confidence to leave the ordered spec alone. I’ve now have the car for several months and it’s brilliant, so thank you. It’s certainly more than powerful enough for the road, it’s great fun. The 700-1000 bhp cars these days are all about “mines bigger than yours”. I couldn’t care less. The 992 C2 is a great car and I feel privileged to own it. Thanks again. David
He is a good RUclipsr but not the best in the world. That has to be Harry catchpole, Jason Camissa or the little Brown man him self. They startet the Business
honey6446464 Henry Catchpole is a Journalist who does some you tube with the Carfectiom team, same as Harry Metcalfe is a serious motoring journalist that has a You tube channel.
Chris Harris what an absolute legend!!!! The guy has done a lot for the motoring industry and he's one of few left that actually says what he thinks. To add to it he drives like a champ. Massive respect as definitely one of best interviews of 2020!
Congrats on the monumental achievement of having CH on. While I think Clarkson and Co. have to be said to be the most influential car journalists ever, whom I appreciate greatly, I would rather listen to Chris any day of the week. And obviously, many would agree to his greatness and he is still humble and uncomfortable about it. So funny. He knows, but won’t accept it. But I like that. Again, congrats on the milestone video.
this os one of the best interview i have ever seen. Chris Harris interviews is the best in vertices ive ever seen. this is a blunt interview (which is good) you want to hear this about real cars that you see and not all about lambos, but about cars you see more and more everyday. i want this interview and interview to reach NON-car people to see how this relates to them. Most people buy/lease the car and don't know anything about there car witn in within a 2 to 3 year lease and there lease is up or whatever? most people at the end of the lese are figuring out what there car is most capable of and what the functions are car does. Most people own don't know what even what their corolla does or is capable of by the end of their lease or ownership. this goes for most. Most people don't know their car us capable of and don' go through their manuals. You shouldn't even need the manual to know the most functions of your car. it's crazy most people go through there car ownership not knowing the capabilities of their vehicles. I REALLY WANT THIS TO BE IGNKOWALGED BECAUSE I DID SPEND LOTS OF TIME ON TOPIC EXTENDING UPON WHAT RBR & CHRIS HARIS HAD TO SAY
Really interesting interview. Chris is a legend (to me). A good "old fashioned" experienced journalist who is moving with the times. Henry Catchpole next please!!
Guys, what a great conversation. Certainly the last section on EV's, the powergrid, putting a fun car away, and exhaust sounds, a really pertinent conversation to real problems the industry are facing and will face over the next 10 years.
I can say easily that this is one of the most enjoyable talks I have seen about cars in ages. And its very honest too, even talking about owning cars, prices and how this dudes do not make it like they are super millionaires and are just showing off cars. Great to see, thank you for the content.
Great interview, thanks guys! Always fun to hear Chris’ opinion as a fellow M2 owner; it provides me a great baseline to consider the topic. I really agree with the point about not enough journalists having teeth. I instantly respect and enjoy people who are honest (SavageGeese on YT, for example) about their opinions. Thanks for the video, take care.
Why this channel does not have millions of views is crazy......this is the best car review channel with the best information and technical techniques.....
Chris is so humble. There is so much love in the car community for his passion and honest reviews, not to mention driving ability. Easily my number one car journalist/reviewer. Such a great guy. A ticketed audience with Chris Harris, make it happen, i'm in!
I really love it when a person says something the way they really feel about it without being bai's or without fear or favor, that's why I love watching and listening to Chris Harris, nice content Raz.
Never seen this channel before. Thanks to Chris - I have now. Harris is a modern day legend, can never have enough of him. When I was a youngster I could never quite put my finger on who I wanted to be when I grow up. There were no Chris Harris types in USSR in the 80s... Well, at least I know now!
I think what Chris said at the 44 min mark is spot on, when I go back to what I consider my first proper "performance" car I was sat on the fence with a few choices, RS4, M4, Nissan GT-R, Porsche GT and C63 I had only driven a PP C63 at the time and I was never fully sure on the car and I was tipped towards the M4 at the time, but I ended up seeing his review of the 507 and I went out and test drove a showroom car, his passion for that car really pushed me over the edge and sold me on the C63 507, and well it's still sat on my drive, I've drove many cars since, to include a C63S and to date nothing in the same range has came close, people pushed me into a Tesla not long ago, yes it was a mind bending experience planting your foot, but give me my 507 and a Tesla on a warm spring day on a British B-road there'd only be one set of keys I'd pick-up, and thats the AMG.
CH: All I'd say is: "Buy something now that excites you, even if it's not new, hang on to it for as long as you can, and eventually you won't be able to drive it. That's what we're facing. Get out there and enjoy it while you can!" Solid advice. Happy I followed it with my recent AMG purchase!
Really enjoyed this interview. Can listen to Chris talk about cars all day…he really should get back to doing some new podcasts again. Great job RBR on a spectacular interview and for taking the time to do it. It’s been 2 yrs but listening to this (for the first time) feels as fresh as anything that’s been released today. Please arrange another one!We want to hear his take on the C63s hybrid-whatever-it-is lol
Mr. Harris is a true legend and seems to be rather modest too. Happy to see you together having this discussion / debate! Very entertaining and educating at the same time. Please do this again if possible!
10 years ago, an interview like this would have been impossible. Technology made this possible and it changed people's behaviour. I must admit this is the best scenery ever! In a park with the cars parked behind. Last but not least this interview is not only about cars. Chris offers us all a lesson about honesty & verticality in life. Respect, guys!
I like Chris's vision for the future, a possibility to have a second ICE/Hybrid car to enjoy for a few miles per year and then an EV as a daily. Hopefully the government won't force people to give up their passion altogether.
Hat's off, while I came simply to see what Harris had to say as a fan of his for years, with this interview you've taken several massive steps forward for how I (as a passionate car enthusiast Harris' age) view you and your channel. Well done
Having owned an AMG C43, and 2 AMG C63S’s, the change to 4 cylinders + electric ⚡️ assist won’t attract my business any further. Next purchase ? Bespoke spec’d 2022 C8 Z06 ...
This is the best car chat on RUclips. The two most intelligent/ common sense blokes having a genuine chat about today's issues. Just awesome. (Would be great to get Christ back again?!)
Shmee was ok to start with but he's outstayed his welcome and been overtaken by Influencers who are far more grounded and down to earth...namely RBR, JWW, SOL, Joe Achilles, Seen Through Glass, Archie & TGE!! They're all elbowing Shmee out the way!
Sound issue at about 47. Love that this starts with Chris you're old, you are really old. Great listen and look forward to another one when your Black arrives. Great content and great news that Chris is going back to it too
Way to go. Chris is great, plain and simple, we love Chris and are better for having him around. Thank you and do more. I love these car shows and while I have never even sat in a car of the ones you speak of I do enjoy the shows.
GT2RS or GT Black series need to be produced and they deserved a price tag that high. It's a special compliment to build such amazing track weapons. It's just inspiring to see Porsche and AMGs battle for a faster track weapon. Great rivals! Cars that people really need to avoid are those jokes like performante or SVJ that using tuned cars to fake a laptime that the real cars delivered to customers are totally different cars and have some influencers to tell those lies with them.
Chris is a Legend! Problem is that people demonize people who are “negative”. We have adopted the American style of being OVER POSITIVE. And everybody who is a bit negative is considered as such. And this is Chris. Brutally honest. And it’s not appreciated anymore.
I've been following Chris for over a decade. He and Tiff are truly is the best car presenters. He has an amazing ability to truly describe how a particular car feels from a motorsport fanatics perspective. Something most other presenters cannot do. Chris has reached legendary status in my books!

Great interview! I don't know how someone could dislike Chris Harris. He's seems super down to earth & is obviously a hell of a driver. His review of the M6 Gran Coupe is one of the main reasons I bought one.
Well done gentleman. I've watched Chris for a few years now, but Raz that was the first time I've come across you. that was a highly enjoyable and engaging conversation that I thought I'd watch for the first few minutes of.over a cuppa.. but ending up watching the entire thing. I’ve watched this numerous times and I have to comment! Most excellent video by two most excellent individuals! I love watching you both! Thank each of you for what you do! Thank you both for being so relatable and down to earth. You each speak TO your viewers not DOWN to them and I am truly grateful! Keep up the great work and thank you for the extremely interesting content. (From the States)

For me Listening to Chris talk is comforting to know that I am not the only one with the exact same views about the current car market and RUclipsrs..then again I am in my 50s ..not a fan of old top gear or new top gear but a huge fan of Chris Harris. Henry catchpole and Harry Metcalfe...
Long time subscriber, first time commenter - actually only the second time I have ever made a RUclips comment (Ever).... Was brilliant to see a quality discussion from 2 “Influencers” who I have different approaches to how content is presented. Regardless of the term utilised to describe you both, the wider population (whether they want to admit it or not) will consider both Raz and Chris as people who massively aid decisions about vehicles, even if just supporting conversations at the pub - I know I certainly do! Chris - You are a legend Mate and brilliant at how you approach things in your life, RUclips or Presenters of Content in general look up to you as inspiration. Long forward to the next instalment from you both!

Don't ever think that you guys don't help the viewers in their decision process. I knew the Hammer was for me after I saw you guys drive and talk about the car. Thanks for all you do! Cheers!
I love Chris Harris and I honestly can listen to him talk for hours and enjoy it but I honestly dont get how it looks like a Mansory. 😂 and yes Mansory should definitely be fined for touching beautiful cars.
Two of my favourite petrolheads 👍👌, just add Mat Watson from Carwow ....and yes a 4 Cylinder C63 wouldn't without doubt be anywhere near the heritage, and the menacing presence of the W204 C63 6.2 V8. W205 4.0 V8 turbo already started the dilution effect. I think a little number of people would care how faster a tuned 4 Cylinder C63 is . I would take 4.xx seconds 0-60 hooligan over a sub 4 seconds 0-60 skinny fast toy.
@@kkfarmedkk Tiff, Harry and Henry are all i'd want out of that list. Add in Matt Prior from Autocar, Steve Sutcliffe (boring voice for videos but amazing journalist) and 1 or 2 of the better influencers such as Mr AMG / JWW / Joe Achilles and it'd be perfect. 👌

Just needs to strip it back and keep it simple. If you try and listen to this as a podcast it’s horrible!!! Great content, but just messy production
Yeah, it really killed this video
@@obsidian.... killed it? Behave!!!!

Living in a car for 24hrs in Bolton and weeing yourself whilst aiming for a she wee (a what ???)
Deliberately wrecking numerous hire cars.
Shmee doesn’t “scream and shout” plus he knows about driving dynamics 😂😂 I understand what you mean, but Shmee is not an example of that
@@tomfield8766 Dude. Shmee does shout. And throws around cliche comments every time in every review.
One hour! Thanks gentlemen for this amazing video format! I want more!
Good work!
Easily one of the most enjoyable videos I have watched for a very long time! I could sit and watch you two talking for hours!
Watch the late brake interview.. Even better
TURD!!!
David
The best car journo in the world with the best car you tuber in the world
Well done 👍

@@RemoveBeforeRace we love you bro
He is a good RUclipsr but not the best in the world. That has to be Harry catchpole, Jason Camissa or the little Brown man him self. They startet the Business
honey6446464 Henry Catchpole is a Journalist who does some you tube with the Carfectiom team, same as Harry Metcalfe is a serious motoring journalist that has a You tube channel.
Chris Harris is not a car journo, not anymore.
He's moved on and is now a TV presenter in the entertainment sector.
@Isaac Idun +1.. Agreed.. The best of the best .. you know who you are. .. Yes, yes Henry Catchpole is a tier one automotive journalist.
Guys, what a great conversation.
Certainly the last section on EV's, the powergrid, putting a fun car away, and exhaust sounds, a really pertinent conversation to real problems the industry are facing and will face over the next 10 years.
nothing makes me happier than seeing these people x-over.
I can say easily that this is one of the most enjoyable talks I have seen about cars in ages. And its very honest too, even talking about owning cars, prices and how this dudes do not make it like they are super millionaires and are just showing off cars. Great to see, thank you for the content.
I agree with Harris, the same goes for Porsche GT2 RS, a GT3 is enough.
i have a 991.2 GTS .. and it’s more than enough. u made a great point!
@@JohnGem0324 It depends what you do with it. To go to your grocerie then yes it is enought , for track ? no at all aspecially chassi wise
Carrera 4S is more than enough! 0-60 mph in 3.2s!
SMUTS!!!
This was an amazing video, and extreme cool that Mr Harris joined you.
Why this channel does not have millions of views is crazy......this is the best car review channel with the best information and technical techniques.....
OMG Raz, you have knocked the ball right out of the park with this one.
Chris is so humble. There is so much love in the car community for his passion and honest reviews, not to mention driving ability. Easily my number one car journalist/reviewer. Such a great guy. A ticketed audience with Chris Harris, make it happen, i'm in!
Chris’s opinion always goes above everyone else as he’s always so spot on. I have a huge playlist of Chris Harris on cars off all his work on RUclips.
Yes he is great but why did he go hard on the Rolls royce cullinan design like that 😬 i don't see ugliness in the outside design
SMUTS!!!
I really love it when a person says something the way they really feel about it without being bai's or without fear or favor, that's why I love watching and listening to Chris Harris, nice content Raz.
Great job with the interview, you really show your maturity above the other influencers and “car flippers” here on RUclips.
This is a brilliant Interview/conversation🔥❤️👏🏼 i enjoyed every second of it.Thank you Sir💪🏼
This is amazing! Great to see a video of you two together!
CH: All I'd say is: "Buy something now that excites you, even if it's not new, hang on to it for as long as you can, and eventually you won't be able to drive it. That's what we're facing. Get out there and enjoy it while you can!"
Solid advice. Happy I followed it with my recent AMG purchase!
Best hour of RUclips I think I’ve watched. Great job!
I didn’t want this to end, amazing video. Chris is a legend.
Mr. Harris is a true legend and seems to be rather modest too. Happy to see you together having this discussion / debate! Very entertaining and educating at the same time. Please do this again if possible!
Damn, thought I was the only one who thought the Black was god awful, tacky, mansory bs. This is coming from a huge MB fan

Raz’s audio was so frustrating for me when it kept cutting out! Other than that amazing video
Best thing I heard in 2020, Chris Harris might reboot his old channel! 💥☄️⚡️✨
Same feeling I would have been fine if they added electric to the v8. V8 hybrid would have my interest.

OH CRAP!!!
This is the best car chat on RUclips. The two most intelligent/ common sense blokes having a genuine chat about today's issues. Just awesome. (Would be great to get Christ back again?!)
I'm going to stick my neck out say Chris finds Schmee irritating.
Who doesn't? Rhetorical question.
Everyone finds him irritating
Shmee was ok to start with but he's outstayed his welcome and been overtaken by Influencers who are far more grounded and down to earth...namely RBR, JWW, SOL, Joe Achilles, Seen Through Glass, Archie & TGE!! They're all elbowing Shmee out the way!
He is irritating. Seen Through Glass and SOL are just as bad.
@@andrewcunningham6181 true. Now he's just like watching a corporate video. Plus he's always nice about every car.

The best RBR content ever? For me, absolutely, thanks
I've been following Chris for over a decade. He and Tiff are truly is the best car presenters. He has an amazing ability to truly describe how a particular car feels from a motorsport fanatics perspective. Something most other presenters cannot do. Chris has reached legendary status in my books!
Chris mentioning that he's gonna get back to making Chris Harris On Cars videos got me so excited
Fantastic to hear the real Chris Harris. I love the honesty of his opinions. He must do more videos on his own channel. It’s where he started for me and so many of us feel the same about his content. Great work getting him to feature on your channel
