That 2nd gear lag is a lot of the reason for the slower time. I'm guessing it's torque converter lockup ? Most vehicles that people call slow would come right alive with a simple tune by the way also. Everything is tuned for fuel economy because of the unrealistically strict EPA mpg and emissions standards.
I don't know what year this one is but if I slam shift like a motherfucker I can get like 9.2, maybe even a high eight on a good day on my base model 2013.
@@cosmindumitriu6252 i meant the middle gauge cluster. Not the right side where the little screen with the fuel is, I meant the actual speedometer…. & no the lower trim levels don’t have the middle digital speedometer display. That applies to all 2017’s & up.
@@cody3335 We also own the 2022 model. and the 2022 model had a digital speedometer and infotainment. this is either the lowest trim or an old model. because i havent heard of any 2023 models with the analog speedometer display.
I am driving a AWD right now which I borrowed from a friend. This shitbox revs like 4k rpm minimum and a most of the time it goes easily to 6k rpm.... Freaking weird. It's a weak 2.5 engine... I use it on sport mode mostly....
Very good! And beautiful gauges..
Carbon Edition and lower trim models will have these gauges. All trim levels above with have digital.

Yeah it’s the torque converter. I don’t feel is so much on my cx50 but when I had a cx30 as a loaner there was a noticeable pause in 2nd

Feels like a normal honda civic in the drivers seat
No it doesn’t it’s not that it necessarily feels faster but the way it delivers it’s power is very specific

Heavt car, awd and low torque cause no turbo...but people like the engine feel
@adrianhrusca4067 was fun off road though.
Too slow
It’s not a sports car genius
wth hahaha. If i it is a sport car that would be super slow but for a daily driving cars. It is good to overtake and merge in highways.
It’s enough for the buying demographic. Nobody is buying this for speed.
