Your grail acquisitions are nuts! Do you ever worry you’ll have too many records to enjoy?! I probably have about 1200 or so and even for me it feels overwhelming. Dude-your collection is unreal!! Keep up the great work!

I already knew about Cargo. We have very good records shop in Warsaw selling hard to find vinyls/bands opened around 1991.But Obsession 77 completely destroyed me and I am still on the ropes.Well done!!

Dillon ! Thanks a lot for being a living music encyclopedia and a great guy to listen to, here in rural South Africa , keep the good work going on ! Happy festive season 👍🙌
Dillon - Thanks for recommending the self-titled Paul Pena album the other day. I found one online and bought it. I hope it's in decent condition (it's coming from a legit record shop the next state over but the description only listed it as "used") so the amazing music comes through! It's my priciest album of the year for me.
Dillon, you always score records I've never heard of! My 3 best finds of 2023. US og pressing of Saucerful of Secrets. Nick Drake Bryter Later on Antilles, and Townes Van Zandt High Low and In-between on Poppy.
Zepplin is my favorite band of all time. I can’t tell you how happy (and tiny bit jealous 😜) I am of you for having a turquoise copy. The rarest Zeppelin album I have is the 1st Greece pressing on the ATCO label. Merry Christmas and fingers crossed for more unique vinyl in ‘24.
OMG THANK YOU!!! I looked up Atomic Forest and it’s the best thing ever haha! I’ve found out SO MUCH DOPE MUSIC from your channel man. Sincerely appreciate that!!! 😁😁😁
I can't wait for that George Brigman reissue. I know you've talked about him before, so I was hoping something like this was happening. I had the 2005 CD reissue and can't wait to hear it on vinyl. I wish I could remember how I came across his name (maybe a blog post or something similar), but I remember where I got it (the amazing Long in the Tooth in Philly).
This is a great bunch of records. I have reissues of several of these which I’m happy with. It is cool that your store is successful and has allowed you to live your dream. Take care brother and Happy New Year.
I was buying a few records from a friend, and he said I have this great record that no one wants, do you want it. He knew the music I was into, so I said of course, without even knowing what it was. It turned out to be Justen o'Brian and Jake. Which I got for a great price.
Wow, what a fantastic year of records for you Dillon. Holy grails for sure!! I had a good year too. Probably my favorite grail pickup for me was Arzachel, self titled. Original pressing clean. My second best grail pickup this year would have to be a mono pressing of The Doors, self titled. Looking forward to more exclusives and content from you this upcoming year.
A lot of great records there. I've been slowing down a bit over the last couple of years but the best one was about 15 years ago when I managed to acquire an original Stack- Above All on the ( US) Charisma label. It's a loud lp and definitely one of my grails at the time. Merry Christmas and looking forward to the new releases on your label in the new year.
I've been thinking about sending you a couple of white labels. Bridge of sighs and another and then you can send me something else. You've probably got them already. Dig the videos and keep on singing Styx
Wooooaaahh!! Dryewater is one of my absolute favorites! That’s so awesome! 👏🏻 And Yezda Ufra, George Brigman! I am shaking right now 😅 Can’t believe it! And as always your finds are incredible. I have them all on my want list (except Weed, Black Spirit and Jeronimo which I actually found this year also, and Horse, Pluto, Head Machine + Elias Hulk I have had since before). This made my day!! 🥳 My best find 2023 is the German band Mammut, original copy on Mouse records..
I also forgot to mention that if I saw the Negative Approach 7" in the wild or in a collection like you did (even one as great as Chris'; I really loved that video for lots of reasons, but one of them is that my tastes are quite similar to his), I'd probably audibly gasp as well. I've been looking for over 30 years and so the chances I'll find an original one day are low (but you never know), but I'm glad that I at least have a nice reissue of it now.
Dude I stabbed that like button with a soldering iron and hit it upside the head with a mo-ped muffler! It's tone was all wrong and it basically asked for it with it's actions, damn like button!
One of the top finds in 2023 are two original Nigerian pressings of the fantastic album "Double Face" by Tunji Oyelana & The Benders - some killer afrobeat/funk tracks!
Congrats dude! Killer stuff. I only got a few "grails" that I was after.. Beatles stuff, German DMM white album and stuff like that. Too much stuff to list. Anyway, hope you have a great Christmas and here's to a good new year! 🍻
Hey Dillon, if you get a chance check out the video of my friend John Carraro's [RIP] appearance on "The Rare Groove Revolution" with DJ Soulero. He basically was the one that re-discovered that Stark Reality record back in the 90's. Interesting show with many tidbits about the infamous Roosevelt Hotel Record show which both John and I sold at. Cheers.
Craziest that I found this year was UK 1st press of Sgt Peppers in a collection of about 300 records for $40. Most were garbage but got a few other good ones including a SRV album. Not super crazy I know, but can’t beat that kind of deal.
I’m living in Korea and I try to buy mother of your licensed reissues, you say you ship internationally, but when I try to order it, it wouldn’t work. Do you ship to Korea?

Kinda wish you’d gone into a little detail on what the deal is with that Dreamin’ Wild album because, I gotta say, going by the cover it doesn’t exactly look like the sort of album you’d be into. When I saw it, my first thought was that it looked like some sort of Osmond family spinoff/side project.
A record dealer friend of mine sold a copy to me years ago, before it became really expensive, and he described it to me like, "They look like 1970s teen idols, but they're really this great power pop record!" The movie that's based on them tries to compare them to Brian Wilson, but there was a lot of great 1970s/80s power pop coming out the middle of nowhere U.S.A. that's comparable to the Emerson boys. The compilation series Yellow Pills has a lot of that kind of stuff.
Well, first of all, it’s a lot of hard work, so it doesn’t “land in my lap.” I dig for records Almost every single day of the year. But to answer your question, I think like 3 of them were because of the shop. The rest were from buying/trading with other collectors. Most of this stuff doesn’t show up in collections.
