So... If I've removed all the shims and it's still out of specs, what do I do? My clutch is running hot on a 2018 thundercat. It's supposed to be 62.5mm from back of drive clutch to front of driven clutch according to someone at hardcore sledder forum. With no shims I'm at 64mm.
umm didnt that adjust the deflection and NOT the alignment? also wouldnt how much you tighten the "alignment" plug effect your reading? thats something you didnt talk about.

Ya what he said. To effect the alignment the shim would need to go on the jack shaft behind the driven assembly.
I think because the outer sheath is the fixed one, unlike 2012 models, this works.
