To much excessive screaming is not ok ...my mom said she dont like concerts because people smoke weed and the smell is gross which I dont mind weed but I can see how if you dont smoke cigarettes or weed would be annoying to smell.

I think it depends if the artist is a pure vocalist vs an entertainer. For people like Celine, Whitney, Mariah etc - you go to experience their vocal talent live vs a Beyonce, Janet, JT, Katy Perry or Madonna show where they're hosting an all around visual spectacle in which vocals may be a factor, but they're not the star of the show.
It depends on the context, if you’re at an a cappella concert or at a small venue, it might not be as appropriate. It’s all about the vibe of the show as well. You need to read the situation. If you’re in an auditorium, maybe you sing along under your breath and clap along. In a stadium, all bets are off.
Usually I think Lani just be hatin, but I agree with her right here. I don’t pay money to hear myself. Yes, during some moments when the crowd is singing along, it is SOOOO much more powerful, but not all the time. I went to a Beyonce concert in 2016 with my best friend and we sat the entire time because we both were coming from work and was just super tired and it was the worst concert experience ever. But our whole section was dry as hell, nobody singing, dancing, clapping, you wouldve thought we were all dead. We then had to do a do over with her concert in Houston and it was much better because everyone was lit, it was fun, the vibes were right and everything.

My mom schedule an outing to the Alameda County Fair one summer. County fairs have free concerts and there was a choir singing John P Kee songs or Kurt Carr, or Hez. Walker It was a familiar upbeat song, that "makes you" dance. I leaped out my seat and ran to the side-aisle and started singing with the choir. People were sitting in their seats, not getting into the song. My younger sister followed and we became the unofficial "hypers" of the song, from the side-aisles. It was funny, because we didn't care what people thought of us,-our mom, who was a minister taught us very well, "Let everything that have breath, Praaise the Lord." And we did that. Long story short, after the concert we walked around in the fair. One of my cousins made a smart-a$$ remark about what me and my lil sis did. I told her, "While you sat in the back laughing at us, we helped facilitate and encourage people to GET UP, and praise GOD its OK to dance-David danced and we know what happen to his wife." I love my extended family, but I had to check that chick!

Yes, during some moments when the crowd is singing along, it is SOOOO much more powerful, but not all the time. Mariah Carey be getting on my nerves when she puts the microphone to the audience because she is trying to dodge a high note that is one of the biggest reasons we love that part of the song and PAID to see and hear HER sing it. It’s annoying.
I sing along to all songs at every concert. I actually practice the lyrics beforehand so I do not make a mistake. Love it

I went to a Beyonce concert in 2016 with my best friend and we sat the entire time because we both were coming from work and was just super tired and it was the worst concert experience ever. But our whole section was dry as hell, nobody singing, dancing, clapping, you wouldve thought we were all dead. We then had to do a do over with her concert in Houston and it was much better because everyone was lit, it was fun, the vibes were right and everything.

I'm like Adrienne, I get in the aisle and sing!! To the rafters, bc I'm confident and can sing. Loni's comment reminds of the time, my two cousins & my aunt Bev from Memphis were visiting us. My mom schedule an outing to the Alameda County Fair one summer. County fairs have free concerts and there was a choir singing John P Kee songs or Kurt Carr, or Hez. Walker It was a familiar upbeat song, that "makes you" dance. I leaped out my seat and ran to the side-aisle and started singing with the choir. People were sitting in their seats, not getting into the song. My younger sister followed and we became the unofficial "hypers" of the song, from the side-aisles. It was funny, because we didn't care what people thought of us,-our mom, who was a minister taught us very well, "Let everything that have breath, Praaise the Lord." And we did that.
Long story short, after the concert we walked around in the fair. One of my cousins made a smart-a$$ remark about what me and my lil sis did. I told her, "While you sat in the back laughing at us, we helped facilitate and encourage people to GET UP, and praise GOD its OK to dance-David danced and we know what happen to his wife." I love my extended family, but I had to check that chick!
