Yes, I believe the situation was appallingly handled. You should not have been charged at all - you went in for a civilised meal with table service and ended up fleeing with dinner in a box. I think the Council's food standards & hygiene department should be informed of your experience so that food storage and 'kitchen practices' can be inspected. It's entirely put me off from staying there!

We fully understand that building especially in cities could have rodents about but we still don’t want them in the restaurant 🤣
Absolutely they shouldn’t be running around the restaurant eek! Or anywhere in sight haha. Not sure I’d stay there after seeing that.
