A tip when doing menuchi is that when you bring your sword up try and keep it 45 degrees and don’t overextend the strike I have hit myself many times because of this. How you ask? Well when the shinai is brought down and you are trying to do it as fast as you can there is a possibility of smacking your head I did this for my first 2 years of practice out of the 15 I have practiced😂
