Very smart putting a temporary island just to see how it feels. I say it looks great having something there, but it depends on how it feels in the space. I will remember this tip for my kitchen reno.

Linda: You are such a hard worker and you do it all.....inside and outside. No, I would never laugh at you falling. I have been there and it is never funny and even if it is a soft fall, unfortunately, sometimes I am sore the next day. I am older than you! Finding a treasure in the ground would be a great surprise! Also, I just adore both journals and the one you created is beautiful.....your talent is never ending!

How I wish I had found you sooner...you're channel is everything I've been looking for...we have a sweet old victorian on the Hudson river in upstate NY (Hudson Valley) we have been restoring in the new england style(my apsolute favorite style)..and have been vacationing at least twice a year for over 25 years in Gloucester which I'm sure you're very familiar with...apsolutely love watching your channel...and I too would love to see more and more videos 😂😂😂
I like the idea of an island, I'd have to see if it got in the way of going to/from the stove, or maybe it would be a help? The idea of something on wheels is intriguing. And, I agree with some of the comments about the darker paint color, but love how your home is coming along. Just beautiful, Linda!

I love your videos! So calming, relaxing! You are an incredible decorator, with attention to detail! I used to collect County Living, Country Home, Colonial Magazine, Early American Life, Victoria, magazines from the early 80's till early 2000's, my obsession with those magazines and the huge collection of them, lead me to huge cleanout, good will and library donations and simplifying my life when we made a big move across our state. Your style reminds me of a combination of all I saw in those magazines, so I don't need them anymore, I just watch your channel!

The fact you could roll a higher less wide island to the wall would make all the difference and a nice addition to your lovely kitchen, and Willow’s feeding station would still be accessible
I have a very similar sideboard in my little kitchen in my rented home! I thrifted it. It has the same coloring and drawers but has a shelf in the bottom as well. I sprayed several coats of Helmsman protective waterproofing spray on it and it works perfectly as a small island for us.

Hi Linda, Happy Easter. I love how Willow is never far from your side. What a sweet doggie 🐶. OK, my opinion is to NOT put a work table in your kitchen. You don’t need anymore counter space and I feel it will become awkward getting around it. But that said, just leave the table that you have there and see how it feels. Cheers from Virginia😍

I have had them for years...I used them for company...I have a set of brown Staffordshire plates with deer on them... They are pretty with brown on plates...

I love the green colors you are using, I would definitely get a smallish table for an island and put wheels on it. Happy Easter!
Linda, try hanging some sort of colorful ribbon or flag on your camera stands to make it more difficult to loose them. You could even paint them with a bright color.

Great video Linda, just get yourself some chainsaw trousers and a hard hat with a face guard and ear defenders attached to it. That's what we us, especially when working alone in isolated places. These few items will help you to keep safe, which is always a good thing. God bless you from Wales, UK

The illustrations in the book The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady are beautiful, I gave a copy to my sister back in the 80's, together with The Edwardian Lady: The Story of Edith Holden... a biography - another one for you to look out for and add to your library. Love the slightly darker green on the door and a table in the kitchen. Happy Easter from Sydney... 🐣🦘

Linda, Happy Easter to you & your family…🐥🐥.. that would be an interesting video watching you use your metal detector!… We have a series in England called ‘The Detectorists ‘ staring Toby Jones & Mackenzie Crook, it’s a fantastic series & it has sparked off so many people to go out metal detecting, It’s a wonderfully relaxing series showing the beautiful English countryside also with some great humour…. I’m sure you must have many treasures on your land of days gone by. I don’t envy you painting that door again, although you did a really good job, I agree & think a darker green would look better. Hope you have a great weekend…🙂

I have a huge center island and what has happened is that we are eating all meals there when I have a beautiful big dining room and eat in kitchen. So I wouldn’t make that center isle big. You don’t need it. I’d say a tiny bit wider and counter height but that’s all. Love your videos.

I just bought a Lilac from the Arbor Day Society. Thinking I should've gotten it years ago. Better late than never. I was reading up on Lilacs and it said mature lilacs can be trimmed to the ground and will re bloom within 3 years.

With the workbench in the kitchen, you will have a "partial" unfitted kitchen! 👍 And yes, if you have something on locking castors, you can secure it while working, and then wheel it out of the way when not in use! Hence, the unfitted kitchen's versatility! 🤗

Linda, my favorite tool for my two acres is a hand held, chargeable chain saw. You need one! I gifted both my sons with one. Powerful and fast. It makes work so much easier. I love spring in our New England.
