I'm really forwarding your work, i had been struggling a lot until found "stable" values for my ram. Never been able to have a stable system with corsairs OEM values for 3466 mhz, had to find other values and limit to 3200...this way i no longer experience crashings while gaming.
Thanks! If you're looking for more videos on this motherboard in the mean time I've also published a full overview of the motherboard itself and a BIOS update tutorial 👍
Thanks for this! Found this really helpful, I'm wondering if you plan to do any undervolt tutorial at any point? Especially since the 13th gen run so hot! I can't seem to find any guides for Gigabyte Z690 motherboards so it would be incredibly helpful
No problem, glad you found it useful! I do have some overclocking/undervolting content on the way soon once I can fit it in to the upload schedule so hopefully there will be something online in a few weeks so keep your eyes peeled🤞
Most helpful Gigabyte Z690 over view I've found. I just have a question about enabling CMS & Disabling Secure Boot as I don't run Windows but Linux instead. I've tried serveral times to Disable Secure Boot & activate CMS but it reverts to its defaults regardless of my saving the changes. Also how do you set your GPU setting the RX 6600XT is labelled PCIe 4? Thank you
Thanks! Disabling secure boot/enabling CSM may conflict with TPM settings if those are still enabled as well as resizable BAR support so you should try and make sure those are disabled. For your GPU you should be able to leave it at auto but otherwise you can select Gen 4 specially in the BIOS 👍
@@PCJack Been reading on Secure Boot & CSM , TPM functionality & it sounds as if these new features are good for better lower level security. Only reason I was looking to disable them is because I install Windows as a virtual machine not a primary OS. My primary OS is Linux and I was told I had to dissable Secure Boot to intall a Linux Distro? If I were going to run this box on the internet I would set my primary OS as a virtual machine software but I don't even want to run this build on the internet. Question is can I install Disable all the SB TPM install my distro & then enable all my security back? Thanks
I'm going to a problem and I really need your help. I had enabled hyper-threading and multi-threading, and I also did enable the Intel 3.0 boost technology as well as the 2.0. though after running some cpu test on cpuz I noted a very good boosting. I was not having a problem because I was using memories of 3.200. then decided to upgrade my memories and I got two members of 8 GB of 4133 and then I enable XMP. At first everything was normal I was playing the games and everything seemed to be fine until I was starting to experience some crashes on csgo, not in the middle of the game but when I opened it. The screen would go dark and freeze until it would automatically reboot. So then I was struggling with it for four days and then I decided to run some benchmark. I use the program userbenckmark and during the processor test they screen froze a couple of times. So decided to set hyper-threading, multi-threading and Intel technology 2.0 on auto and then it stopped crashing during the benchmark. So why did it happen? Is it normal?
Is there any way to disable NVME on this board? I like having two different Windows drives on the same system that can't see each other and have been kind of stuck with SATA where I can turn them off with a button with a drive switcher. NVME you can't do it because you can't turn off their power. My last two Dell laptops had an area in the bios where if you had two NVME drives in your system you could just go into storage and turn one off and one on and vice versa. In all of the different brand motherboard walkthroughs I have yet to find one that lets you disable individual NVME drives.
hi , i got 12600k + z690 aorus elite ddr4 ,small problem : i want to try test switch off c-state + HEIST , and then base frequency boost down to 4.5Ghz on win 11 ,i'm upgrade bios to F22 the lastest and switch off to auto and then no effect how can reset to this default ?second problem : my 12600k in game power up ~45w and in cinebench max 108 w it's strange no? or i'm just lucky and got a good cpu piece thanks to response
Two of my fans on my radiator are not spinning or lighting up. Using deepcool ls720. The top right Two fans are not working. Any suggestions? I plugged the pump into systen pump 4 and it's showing on bios.
Quick tech question, I bought the 13700kf and an MSI MAG Tomahawk z690 ddr4 motherboard. In order to support the 13 gen I know I need to update/flash bios before assembly. My question is, do I just go and update based on the most recent bios release or do I use the comparability update for the 13700kf processor on that tab? Or do I need to do both? And if so, what order?
I've also updated the BIOS on My MSI MAG Tomahawk Z690 DDR4 and I just jumped straight to the latest release at the time that supported 13th gen and had no problems. ruclips.net/video/d0JKbA4qlQ4/видео.html
@@PCJack yes I saw that vid too. Just wasn’t sure if the reg bios update would cover me or not. Thx for the clarification. Looks like 7D32v19 is the most recent release. I’ll use that one tomorrow and then start assembly
You've got my support!!! Great work!!!! Thank you!!!
A video on overclocking RAM on this Gigabyte board would be greatly appreciated :).

Have you also plugged your fans in to a fan header on your motherboard/fan hub as well as your ARGB cable for the lighting?

What cooler are you using? I'm upgrading my rig and wonder if 280 AiO(be quiet Silent loop 2 280mm) will cool 13700kf properly(no heavy OC)
I'm using a Noctua NH-U12A but a 280 rad would be more than enough for a 13700KF 👍
