    Thank you, thank you, thank you! Yours is the first video I've seen that actually explains how the resin moves and what makes it move. I'm a newbie and I've been trying to figure out how to make the resin move. Many thanks! Keep them coming.

    The way you explained how it is important to add the mica only on a clear layer of resin first to get the crackle effect, no other artists have ever mentioned that. Thank you for the basic but most important tip!

    Hi, I love your videos and am trying this technique. I am using Let’s Resin Epoxy Resin and Black Diamond Mica Powder. When I pour the Mica Powder in the layer of clear resin and have poured the clear resin in the center the Mica Powder tends to form bubbles and pop when pulling back to the center leaving circular negative space. By chance, do you know what could be the cause. Wish there was a RUclips option to include a picture. Thank you for any advise you are able to provide.

      @tiffaniwilliamsfineart  Год назад

      I’ve had this happen. Make sure your resin is as bubble free as possible before pouring. With mica, I let it sit a few minutes after I mix because it creates more bubbles. Then blow the bubbles off the top of your cup with the heat gun before you pour.

    These are beautiful. My first video of yours and subscribing straight away and next looking through your other videos. I do have a question though; when it comes to selling pieces that may have an accidental hair in it how do you do that?

    • @tiffaniwilliamsfineart
      @tiffaniwilliamsfineart  Год назад

      It depends where the hair is. I do have a disclaimer on all items saying that they are handmade and may have bubbles, hair, dust, or other inclusions that are the result of the handmade process and are not considered defects. But if it’s noticeable, I don’t sell it or I’ll topcoat it.

    I love the Denim and Diamonds and I’m fairly new to resin and a new follower of yours. Will this same effect work in a 20” table top mold? I don’t plan to fill it but 1/2 way or less.

    • @tiffaniwilliamsfineart
      @tiffaniwilliamsfineart  Год назад

      I’ve had trouble getting this effect in larger molds. They’re so wide across that the resin thickens up before it can move all the way to the middle. I know there are resins that will work for it, but I haven’t been able to find one.

    I am having a hard time getting rid of the bubbles. Following what you are doing, using the same products, but obviously, am doing something wrong. Any suggestions?

    • @tiffaniwilliamsfineart
      @tiffaniwilliamsfineart  2 года назад

      A couple things come to mind.
      Stir slowly in a zig zag, not in circles. Don’t lift your stick off the bottom of the cup.
      Use a plastic or silicone stir stick, not wood
      Warm up the resin (part A) before combining. I put my bottles near the space heater for about 1/2 hour before I start working. You could also set the bottle in a warm water bath.
      Let the resin sit a few minutes after mixing. Hit with the heat gun (while in the cup) before you pour to pop the top bubbles.

    These are beautiful. Thank you for the great explanation. I'm new to coaster making....okay I've only made one set...LOL I'm wondering if the color doesn't go all the way to the center and you wanted the color to go all the way could you pour a layer of blue on the back before demolding?

    • @tiffaniwilliamsfineart
      @tiffaniwilliamsfineart  Год назад

      Yes, you can definitely do that! I do that sometimes with a contrasting color, too.

    I love your coasters and experiments so I just subscribed to your channel. I think your channel would do a lot better if you didn't have so many shorts, or had tutorials to go along with the shorts kinda like as a sneak peek of what's coming up. I've been working with resin and watching tutorials for about 20 years now and I really enjoyed watching your videos. I hope you do well. You have all the potential you need. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

      Unfortunately I have to put videos somewhere for my website to use. RUclips automatically turns vertical videos into shorts, so I can't avoid it. :(

    Wow so beautiful! Didn't realize you can get this effect with just 1 single pigment. I would have thought you needed to layer with at least 2 pigments to get this effect. Thank you for sharing! (also is this the technique you used to make your teal server and coaster set that is in your shorts video?)

    • @tiffaniwilliamsfineart

      For that one, I poured a ring of mica first, then poured clear in the center, and then poured more mica in very thin rings in spirals around the edges.
